Come let your dog romp around my historic home in my fenced acre back-yard. Sit in the tree swing or relax on the bench. Refreshing for dogs and humans! Home adjacent to Goshen Branch Stream Valley Park. Lots of open space and privacy. Help yourself to toys, poop dogs, and water for the dogs inside the smokehouse. Fresh water is put out daily (as long as I'm in town). FREE doggie swimming pool Mondays through the Fridays in the summer months.

WE ARE SUSPENDING OUR SPOT FOR A HOME PROJECT. WILL BE BACK OPEN LATER THIS MONTH OR JULY. We have a huge backyard that is fully fenced. Your furry friends can run to their hearts' content in the yard.

Large fenced in backyard. Open space to run and play. Patio with umbrella table and four swivel chairs. If the chairs are tipped up onto the table when you arrive, please feel free to put them back down on the patio. I tip them up, as the birds are active in that area, and I am trying to keep the chairs clean of bird poop. Two trees for shade. Various dog toys that are cleaned after each visit. A bag to put used/dirty toys in. A bug zapper with a light that hangs from the umbrella handle. It needs to be turned on and off with the rubber button tabs. I recharge it after visits. A kiddie pool as an extra (June - September). Lights for nighttime play! Please park in the street in front of the house. Enter through the gate on the right side of the house. If I have advance notice and I am home, I will leave a cold bowl of filtered water on the back steps. Bug spray, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, paper towels, dog treats, and a dog first aid kit are in the bin on the umbrella table.  If you bring your own bowl and I wasn’t able to leave one out, please feel free to use the hose and water from the spigot on the back of the house to the right of the sunroom behind the umbrella table. Please make sure you turn it off when you are finished. Water to that spigot will be winterized (turned off) once the temperature drops below 32° and will be de-winterized (turned on) in the spring when the temperatures warm up. There will always be a jug of fresh filtered water on the back steps for use. There is a garbage can with a plastic bag in it on the left side of the door to the shed for discarding your poop bags. Please knot your poop bags and make sure the lid is closed tight. The spigot on the right front of the shed is not potable but can be used for cleaning or cooling your dog down. The spigot tends to spray, so stand as far to the left as you can when turning it on if you don’t want to get wet! This system will be winterized (turned off) during the winter months. New toys will be added and rotated on a regular basis. Toys can be found in the plastic bin on the patio table. Please feel free to help yourself to what is in the bin, keeping in mind to leave some clean toys for the next guest in case I am not home to clean them in-between visits. Please place any toys that you used in the bag hanging on the umbrella handle so I know which ones need to be cleaned. After each use, I wash and sanitize each of the toys that were used. I just added a small bug zapper. The bug zapper is hanging from the handle of the umbrella. Push the ON switch to turn it on, and you will see a blue glow. There is also a button to turn a light on that gets brighter in three stages. This bug zapper needs to be charged, so when you leave, please remember to turn it off. Please try to keep your dog from walking into or laying in the decorative grass around the perimeter of the sunroom. In the winter, please try to keep your dog(s) from the flowerbeds that are on the perimeter of the yard in front of the fences. Those areas tend to get muddy in the winter months, but are full of flowers in the spring/summer. In the Spring/Summer there will be an 18 inch high green metal fence in front of the back garden. Please try to keep your dog(s) from jumping the fence so that the flowers can grow and bloom for all of our enjoyment. The wooden bench in front of the garden recently became wobbly, and it may not be stable to sit on. I am looking into getting it fixed.  I am working on building a designated digging area and will notify guests as soon as it is complete.

More, and better, pictures to come! The area is totally fenced in with a big enough area the dogs can run laps to burn off some energy and just romp and play with other dogs. Toys of varying types will be provided; however, if your dog has their own favorite, feel free to bring it. I'll have a pooper scooper handy for cleaning up after your dog and hand sanitizer as well. There is a table and chairs and a bench table for you to sit at to watch your dog(s) play. A trash can will be provided. I also do dogsitting as daycare and overnight if anyone is interested. References furnished upon request. First aid supplies are kept on premises in case of an accident. Basic first aid can be administered. I ran pet stores for FIVE YEARS; so I have experience taking care of animals. Also, numerous veterinarians are within a 5-10 minute drive of my home, including my own. Off-street parking provided for up to three (3) customers at a time. Additional clients can park on the side street and walk over (short distance, one house away). Our yard sits on an one acre lot and flat land. We do not have a fence but a nice patio that you can sit and enjoy while your dog plays in the yard

We have a heavy duty curtain to close off the space for your privacy. Towels, hand sanitizer, and first aid kit available upon request.

5 acres of woods to run free in, with a comfortable back porch to sit in peace with your dog. House is on a private road, with access to a private trail system. Avoid the crowds at Great Falls park - 10 minute walk/hike to the Potomac River! Or walk down the road and see the horses at the barn. Access to water from the spigot on the back of the house.
