Please park at the top of the hill of our drive or all the way down onto the concrete pad of our driveway. Please do not block the first and second garage. If you plan to take the trail around the lake, please note that it is a work in progress and there is some discarded material from before we owned the land. There are breaks in the fence around the trail, so a leash is recommended for dogs with less training. You may enter the backyard from the gate at the end of the concrete pad.

Welcome to our home away from home. Roughly 1 1/2 acres of lake front property. We are located roughly 4 minutes off i70 on gravel. We have 2 fire pits, 3 hammocks, and lots of chairs at your disposal. For your babies we have a box of toys and dog hammocks. If you are there you will likely meet Phil. He is the local lake dog. He is a friendly beagle that walks the lake several times a day. He cannot get on the fence. He doesn't want in the fence. He just wants to complete his walk. Please do not try to rescue him. He has a loving home. During the winter the water is off to our camper. This means no toilet until spring. You will see tons of wildlife which includes deer, foxes, beavers, turkey, and every bird native to Missouri. The 3 gates are cattle panels with 4 inch squares. A smaller dog could get through.

Welcome to the Walnut Grove! This private, fully fenced 1.2-acre property is a peaceful spot for your pup to run, sniff, and explore. Shaded by beautiful walnut trees (plus a cherry and peach tree—feel free to enjoy some fruit if it's ripe!), the grove offers plenty of room for play and relaxation. You'll find an old-fashioned hand-pump well on site with fresh water—just bring a little elbow grease! A water bowl or bucket will be available nearby, and I’ll do my best to have it filled before you arrive. There's also a fire pit if you'd like to enjoy a cozy moment—just bring your own firewood and let me know if you plan to use it. The terrain is natural and a bit uneven in places, but we keep it mowed. Please be mindful of nature’s visitors—occasional bees or even a curious snake may pass through. Plenty of sticks are scattered around for chewing fun, and the mature trees provide lots of shade for hot days. Malta Bend is a quiet little farming town, perfect for a peaceful getaway from the city. You'll find a trash can and shovel on site for poop pickup—we appreciate your help in keeping the grove clean for all visitors.
