The Honey Spot

Named after my sweet heeler Honey Pie, the Honey Spot is a sweet fully fenced quarter acre yard with some big trees in a convenient location (Guilford Hill neighborhood). The back is lined with 6 ft wooden fencing, and the rest with 4 ft chain link fencing. There is plenty of room for your pup to run around and play safely! There are no weak spots in any of the fencing. Parking is on the street, just walk up the driveway (being careful not to walk up my neighbor’s driveway which is closer to the street corner). You’ll see the gate at the end of the driveway. Poop bags, water, had sanitizer and tennis balls are provided.

Gravel driveway with room for a few cars to park. Plenty of grass to run and play in. The yard has a gradual slope to it, not perfectly flat. There's a nice, big pavilion with a few camping chairs for people to sit in the shade, as well as, a couple of large trees to provide shade for doggie rest breaks. There are lots of sticks available for chewing or fetching. Host works from home and will stay inside unless help is requested! We're so happy to invite pet-owners and their dogs into our space and see them enjoy it as much as we do! Shelter volunteers are also welcome to bring shelter dogs for a "Dog Day Out"! We have a reactive dog, so we understand how important, and how challenging it can be to provide a stress-free, enriching environment for a sensitive dog! We have a fully fenced half acre with an adjacent 500 sq. ft. enclosed dog run, and we’re happy to share it along with toys, water bowls, and more to enrich your dog’s experience! This is not just our yard; it is our field to the side of our house and a little more than half an acre is fenced. Another 5 1/2 acres offers privacy and serenity. Feel free to let your pet run through the fenced field and dig in the garden. They love sniffing all of the plants and running the rows . We don’t mind! There are plenty of interesting areas for your pet to explore and run and a lot for them to sniff and explore. The field is mowed weekly and may have some bare spots and occasionally dog poop. We are not UPSCALE. ALL BREEDS WELCOME. There is fun for Small and Large dogs. We are NOT a good fit for a reactive dog. We share a fence with our neighbors that have 2 small dogs. There are plenty of other Sniffspots that will suit your reactive dog’s needs. We are located in Southern Guilford County, just 2 miles off Interstates 85 and 73 and 5 miles from Wendover Ave with easy access. We have a water spigot on the property, free puppy pool, hose and spraying fire hydrant. We now have the Sunflower She Shed with an 8 foot covered porch with fan and an air conditioned and heated interior room with refrigerator, microwave and snacks to purchase. We have comfortable furniture including a wonderful glider in the shade, several benches with cushions, a hammock, zero gravity recliner, pillows and a lounging blanket are always included. We have no cameras. Your privacy is very important to us. Your dog can do nothing wrong here. Let them Dig, Bark, Sniff and Play. Everything begins at our Sunflower She Shed. You will find everything you need there. For people Extras are available such as snacks and cold drinks and frozen ice cream found in the Sunflower She Shed refrigerator/freezer. A delight for pups who love to sniff or herd! My play yard is fully fenced with extra guardrails in place to prevent jumping and digging to escape! For furry guests there are herding balls, frisbees and fresh water available year round. In the warmer months a sprinkler and kiddie pool are available. For human guests there is wifi, multiple chairs, and a hammock available. The play yard is natural with no pesticides or fertilizers and has an abundance of leaves that are perfect for sniffing and rolling in! A poop scoop is available for cleaning up after your pet. It is located near the entry gate.

10 acres bordered by active electric fenced in cow and horse pasture. Lower property offers lake views and animal access from shore (people are not allowed to wade). 5+ acres are mowed, and an additional 2+ acres of trails and foot paths. Quiet and serene location far from roadways or neighbors. Let your dog run leash free or bring your GPS, wireless electric fencing system with you, and relax while your dog roams and discovers. We are animal friendly, but dogs will be inside or gone, and cats will either be inside or find trees while your pet enjoys the space. We do have a pool that is not dog friendly.

This area has wooded trails as well as cleared areas. Densely wooded areas and thickets all around. TICK PREVENTION IS A MUST! There are no pesticides or herbicides used here. Only natural horticulture vingear for spot weed control. This area is located beside Bear Creek and when the creek is high or after a good rain IT WILL BE MUDDY on the right side of the property! Dry creekbed located across the back of the property. **The Creek is NOT accessible from the fenced property** -Water hose on site for use. Dog shower/bath area to the right of the shed with dog wash hose attached, shampoo, and wash shammy. Or you may bring your own bath supplies! Feel free to give your dog a shower/bath! ***Just added dog pool*** For use at no extra charge! Fill up/use if you'd like! (It's been stored for the fall/winter...but if you would like to use it...please let me know at time of booking) -Dog water bowl, dog brush, toys, treats, human and dog tick spray provided. All located in large deck box inside the gate. -Bring doggy towels in case of mud or bathing! -Porch swing and seating areas with a shed deck, gas grill, picnic table and hammock at the top of the property. -Chair/table area at the bottom of rock trail. The perimeter of my property is fenced so you know you’re still on my property. However, it is triple strand so dogs could go through it. We do have chickens and ducks that free roam. We also have other animals that will be contained in the barnyard behind the barn. Drive straight down driveway towards RV. There will be a gate straightahead and another gate to the left. Park anywhere there and use either gate. The gate to the left leads to that big field and the creek runs the length of it. The other gate leads to the back and crosses over the creek. Walk up there just a bit and you will see a path to the left. It goes up to another open field.
