Melissa's Private Dog Park In Asheville

Fenced in doggy play yard with many fun and interesting things for dogs to discover. After much research and many trips to behaviorists, I learned how important “sniff walks” are to Dogs, as that’s how they learn about the world, and ever since I’ve been taking my dog on two sniff walks separate from his normal exercise each day. Sniff walks are ones in which he gets lead, based on what smells most interesting to him, and it is made a huge difference in his happiness and lowered anxiety levels. The ability to sniff out new things and play “wild dog” tracking down “prey” is essential to a dogs happiness in my experience. A large, above ground dog pool can be set up in advance upon request and the property is Soon to include a large natural gently sloping nonslip filtered pumped dog waterfall, leading to a wading pond with a sandbank for digging. There are also lots of toys, including several automatic ball launchers and handheld ball launchers, bones, treats and human snacks on request. A 5 gallon, hot or cold primo water station with pet feature that provides instant cold freshwater for dogs into a bowl, or into disposable plastic cups with lids and straws for humans will always be full and available. Other Amenities include: human and pup refreshments and filtered running water, a working wood burning firepit, a 12x12 covered screened in freestanding patio in the middle of the play yard for human and dog use (with seating for both), an outdoor projector with screen inside the patio, bug spray for humans and dogs, paw balm, dog wipes and towels, indoor restroom access, WiFi, 8 outdoor electrical outlets and more. Please make any other requests in advance of your booking! moved into this house specifically for my dog to enjoy the yard so I hope yours does too

Melinda has a lovely yard that had a lot more room than I was expecting. It was a very peaceful spot, and our puppers had a great time running around! She also has great communication which I really appreciate.

Plenty of space for two dogs to run, play, and have fun. A little tricky getting there, but so worth it. We will be going back.

I brought my dog here this morning and he absolutely loved it. My dog is a Great Pyrenees and Alaskan malamute mix and it was the perfect spot for him to get some energy out as it was a lot of space. It was also pretty quiet this morning in regards to the neighbors dogs. Clean space too. I will be returning .

Thank you so much. Our dog had the best time. Plenty of room to run. The fence is great. He’s home now and can hardly keep his eyes open. So much running. We’ll definitely be back!

Just as described. Clean, quiet and room for a good run. There were other dogs barking occasionally but nothing in the least bothersome-in fact the neighbor directly across the street actually brought his dog inside his house while we were there. I drove 20 minutes to get there and will go back. Very restful and really appreciate the fact that no pesticides are used- a must for us so the pups do not walk in and then lick, the poison. Thank you!

This is a wonderful spot! The description was very accurate and thorough. The space was clean and very secure. Our two very large pups had a great time exploring and running. We did hear some other dogs (as mentioned in the description) but they were far away and didn’t even bother our one dog who is very protective and reactive in the least bit. In fact, I would say this spot has the perfect amount of some distant activity that actually makes the spot more interesting for the dogs. We highly recommend this spot- one of the best we have visited!

This park gets a 5 star rating for safety, cleanliness and great terrain to exercise your dog. I felt secure with the excellent fencing; knowing my dog was safe and could not get out! Just returned home and my pup is sleeping extra early and content after a much needed frolic. Will return often!

Dilly and I enjoyed this Spot yesterday afternoon. Everything was exactly as stated. The neighbor dogs didn’t bother Dilly at all, but I can see where some might be afraid. Rest assured, if there were any gaps in the fence, my little escape artist souls have found it. Thanks for sharing this nice shady yard!

I've used multiple sniff spots for my two dogs and this one is still the favorite! Large enough space for my tiny dog to explore while also being able to keep an eye on her. The fence is secure, so it's nice not having to worry about her being able to get out. Part of the yard is shaded, and it's a quiet and peaceful area. We'll be back again.

This Sniffspot was very good. In addition to supplying us with a fresh bowl of water, this generous host also made available some dog toys, sticks, umbrellas, and hand sanitizer! She also encouraged us to park in her driveway! My only hesitation was that I was concerned our dogs would damage the flowers and plants on part of one side of the yard. Luckily, they did not.

Great fenced in backyard, long and perfect for back and forth zoomies. Had lots of toys and a bowl for water out, which was super appreciated! You can hear other dogs barking from the yard, so something to keep in mind if that sets off your pup. Great spot!

This is a great yard to play in, lots of open space for zoomies and not muddy even after all the rain we’ve been getting lately. Also we booked this Sniffspot super last minute and there was still a bowl of clean water placed out for us. We’ll definitely be back!

So grateful to be able to use this spot, I have a special dog that recently lost his brother and isn’t very good at making new friends. He and I had a wonderful time playing fetch and everything was clean and ready for him. Water was available as well as clean up bags, hand sanitizer and several toys to choose from. Love this service!

Great spot! My dog is very fearful and reactive. This spot was reasonably quiet, with enough city noise to do some confidence training. Only thing I was worried about was the fence has wide openings, so I was on the lookout for any neighbors letting dogs out. Will definitely visit again!
