Poppy's Play Prairie: 15 acres of fun!

Partially Fenced
15 acres

🌸🌿🌱🌦️ Welcome to Spring at Poppy’s! The prairie and woods are coming alive! But spring also brings unpredictable weather, leading to changing conditions on the trails. Please come prepared for mud and uneven trails. But we can always promise excellent sniffs and adventure for your 4-legged friends no matter what! **Fostering a dog? Message for special discounts** This is our private residence. Our dogs love walking the trails, sprinting through the woods, and diving through the prairie grasses. We love offering other pups the chance to enjoy it too! The trails are mostly wooded, and there is a ravine with a small creek (often dry in the summer). There are areas of trails, woods, prairie, and mowed grass. There is a barbed-wire fence marking the property line around the property, however it is not fully-fenced. Your dog will need to know to stay close enough to you or respond to your calls. *Poop bags provided* 10% of all profit is donated to dog rescue organizations

TheDixieChickens 1 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Eden Prairie

Unfenced
1 acre

Hello! Welcome to the DixieChickens private dog park. We own 1.5 acres of fenced and unfenced area backing up to Birch Island pond. We can offer time in the fenced area (if desired) or running time through the woods of our property. There is no fencing on the wooded areas and we do not expect you to pick up if your pet relieves themselves in the woods. However on the groomed grassy areas you will need to pick up after your pet. We do have an open/ shared yard area with one neighbor, so please be respectful of their property line. We do have chickens which will be locked in their coop/run while you are enjoying our sniff spot, so if your dog is reactive to chickens this will not be the place for you. We also have two small resident dogs who are older and do not care for dog play, so they will be inside during your allotted time. You may also observe white tail deer, wild turkeys, geese, crows, eagles, toads, rabbits, and many squirrels and various birds, including two woodpeckers who live in the surrounding trees. We have a deck with patio furniture available to humans and will provide poop bags and trash bin, and garden hose for water if desired. Come have fun and explore Eden Prairie!

Frequently asked questions about Winthrop dog water parks

What amenities do Winthrop dog water parks typically include?

Winthrop dog water parks feature amenities designed for swimming and water play: river, stream or creek, lake or pond, beach, swimming pool, secure fencing options, water stations, waste disposal, and often extras like toys, shade structures, or parking. Unlike public parks with generic setups, Winthrop hosts customize their spaces. Browse 20 listings to compare—from bare essentials to luxury amenities perfect for your dog's needs.

Can I find dog water parks in Winthrop with water access?

Many Winthrop dog water parks include water features! Filter by amenities to find swimming pools, natural ponds, or water play areas. Water is perfect for hot Winthrop days, water-loving breeds, or low-impact exercise for seniors and disabled dogs. Each listing specifies water type, depth, and safety features. Some Winthrop hosts provide life vests or shallow options for nervous swimmers.

How clean are private dog water parks in Winthrop compared to public parks?

Significantly cleaner. Public dog parks in Winthrop see dozens of dogs daily with sporadic city maintenance. Private dog water parks have dedicated hosts who maintain their own spaces—cleanliness directly affects their reviews and bookings. Many Winthrop hosts provide fresh poop bags, sanitized water stations, and regular grounds cleaning. With only one booking at a time, waste accumulation is minimal.

Can I book Winthrop dog water parks on short notice?

Usually yes! Many Winthrop dog water parks offer same-day or next-day availability with instant booking. Unlike public parks that might be crowded unpredictably, Winthrop private dog water parks let you reserve exactly when needed: early morning before work, midday breaks, evening exercise. Real-time availability shows on each listing—perfect for last-minute training or when routines get disrupted.

What's the best time to visit dog water parks in Winthrop?

Any time works since bookings are private! Unlike public dog parks in Winthrop that are crowded during peak hours (mornings, evenings, weekends), you don't worry about timing. Book when it fits YOUR schedule—midday when it's quiet, dawn for cool weather, late evening for convenience. Many Winthrop dog water parks have lighting for after-dark visits. This flexibility is perfect for shift workers or dogs with special needs.

Do Winthrop dog water parks allow multiple dogs?

Yes! Most Winthrop dog water parks welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings), but generally you can bring your whole pack. This is perfect for multi-dog households in Winthrop where some dogs are selective—they can play together privately without outside interference. Great for sibling bonding or families with mixed ages/temperaments.

Can I use Winthrop dog water parks for special events?

Many Winthrop dog water parks welcome doggy birthday parties, training workshops, breed meetups, or group playdates. Private bookings mean your event won't be interrupted. Coordinate with Winthrop hosts about capacity, amenities (parking, shade, water), and any restrictions. Some even provide party extras. Check individual Winthrop dog water park listings for event policies.

How do Winthrop dog water parks accommodate dogs with special needs?

Winthrop dog water parks are excellent for special needs dogs because you can filter for specific requirements: flat terrain for mobility issues, secure fencing for blind/deaf dogs, quiet locations for anxious dogs, small spaces for seniors, or maximum privacy for reactive dogs. Read reviews from other Winthrop special-needs dog owners, and contact hosts with questions. The private setting means you can adapt the experience to your dog's unique requirements.
