I started working with Dekalb Country animal Shelter as an 18 wanting a kitten. I quickly learned how valuable space and time is when it comes to fostering. With the shelters help, my family was able to foster 40+ cats and kittens in 3 years. This shelter strives for the care of the less fortunate animals, and I know they could use this giveaway. They are constantly fighting overpopulation while taking animals from less fortunate shelters. I also got my soul cat from this shelter. She was my foster fail in my second year of fostering.Brenna H.
The animal shelter of DeKalb County Animal Services (DCAS) is managed by LifeLine Animal Project, a nonprofit organization working to end shelter euthanasia. LifeLine provides humane care for the animals at the shelter, veterinary care including spay/neuters, pet adoptions, animal reclaims, volunteers, foster homes and rescue group coordination.
