*** Happy 2025!! *** This year marks the 3rd year I have been open, and it has been such an amazing experience. I have loved seeing every one of the dogs and meeting all of you owners! I was able to add a few improvements this year which I hoped helped in the areas it was needed. I still have a long list to fulfill and as always, I am open to suggestions, what is needed, what is not needed! Again, I am always open to and appreciate feedback. Thank you ALL for making such a great thing even better by your participation and enjoying the space that we feel blessed to be able to offer. * Just a reminder that it is always flea and tick season. We do not treat the pastures with any spray so be mindful about using whatever treatment your vet recommends. *I am repairing part of the pasture that is on my side of the property, this is going to cause me to need the far far back pasture for the use of my horses more often. If you see them in the far back field, just consider that area closed. I do try and move them over off of it for most of the week. 11/1/2025 Updates. Hot/Cold wash on hold. We are going into the WET season, I will try and have towels out but always suggest bringing some. Consider weather appropriate attire. The barn offers coverage, but it can still be windy and cold in there as well. We added more granite to safely pull all the way in and park. ** PLEASE DO NOT TURN AROUND IN THE YARD OR THE PASTURE ** it will start to get too wet to pull all the way in off the granite areas and vehicles will get stuck. And this tears up the pasture, yard area. I am trying to come up with shaded areas in the far far back pasture. That may take more planning and time. But it is on the list. **** June 2026 **** I will be closing on THURSDAYS through the summer. This is for a couple reasons. I need a day to move livestock over to graze, I think we had more weeds this year because I didn’t put the animals over there as often last year (busy is good but I have to maintain the pastures and keep cycling them around) This will add more “sniff” opportunities, fresh green things to roll in and possibly eat .. horse, alpaca and sheep poo is very enticing but will cause no harm except a big ewwwww! *** If you see the park closed, you can always message me and I can try to make arrangements if possible, that may not always be the case depending on my work schedule or where I am at during that time *** This year marks the 3rd year I have been open, and it has been such an amazing experience. We do not treat the pastures with any spray so be mindful about using whatever treatment your vet recommends. **JUNE 2026 We are now in to FIRE SEASON .. this limits our time to mow and things will be drying out. We will water the backyard area between the shop and barn but nothing beyond that. Please remember to alert us for any hazards you may see so we can fix and continue to improve this space. *** THIS IS A NO SMOKING PROPERTY *** NO PEOPLE FOOD trash in the small poop bins please. This will only attract other critters, skunks, racoons, digger squirrels. This ads the potential for a can to get knocked over while dogs are loose and we don’t want to risk your dog in to getting in to something that would cause them to get sick. There is a larger can outside the parking gate for those items. THANK YOU We always love to hear ideas, ways to improve, etc

Frequently asked questions about Ashland dog agility parks

What do private dog agility parks in Ashland offer that public parks don't?

Private dog agility parks in Ashland offer complete privacy (no other dogs), specialized environments for agility training and mental stimulation, professionally maintained cleanliness, flexible 24/7 scheduling, and safe spaces for all temperaments—puppies, seniors, small dogs, reactive dogs, or any pup needing accommodations. Public dog parks in Ashland can't guarantee any of this. With 7 options, you get predictable, controlled environments perfect for your dog's specific needs.

Can I find fully fenced private dog parks in Ashland?

Yes! Most of Ashland's 7 private dog parks are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, reactive dogs needing contained space, or small dogs who might squeeze through. Ashland listings include fencing photos so you can verify security.

When can puppies start visiting dog agility parks in Ashland?

Puppies can visit Ashland dog agility parks as early as 8-10 weeks with initial vaccinations, much earlier than the 16+ weeks needed for public park safety. This early, controlled socialization prevents fear and reactivity issues later. Plus, puppies can explore agility training and mental stimulation without being overwhelmed or learning bad behaviors from poorly socialized adult dogs. Many Ashland trainers specifically use dog agility parks for puppy development.

How do I find private dog agility parks near me in Ashland?

Browse Ashland's 7 dog agility parks on Sniffspot by entering your neighborhood or zip code. Filter by distance, then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, terrain type, or size. Each Ashland listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Local favorite Penny Acres is particularly popular among Ashland dog owners.

Can I rent dog agility parks in Ashland by the hour?

Yes! All 7 dog agility parks in Ashland are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer for training or events. Book instantly through Sniffspot, arrive during your time slot, and have complete privacy. Many Ashland dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise.

What's the difference between Sniffspot dog agility parks and public dog parks in Ashland?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Ashland mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. That means you can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 7 Ashland dog agility parks give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, your pup enjoys agility training and mental stimulation and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Are there indoor dog agility parks in Ashland?

Yes! Ashland has climate-controlled indoor dog agility parks perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Ashland locations typically feature protective flooring, controlled temperatures, and enclosed environments. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs, reactive dogs, or anyone wanting consistent access regardless of Ashland weather. Filter by "indoor" to see options.

How do Ashland dog agility parks help with dog training?

Ashland trainers love dog agility parks because privacy eliminates distractions. Work on recall, practice obstacle course navigation, agility sequencing, or competition prep with equipment, reinforce obedience, socialize puppies, or address reactivity without interruptions. For reactive dogs, train without trigger-stacking. For puppies, practice skills in controlled increments. For any dog, get focused training time in an environment specifically designed for agility training and mental stimulation.
