Hi friends! We own dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments ourselves so we know the importance of a safe place for them to play. We live on a quiet street, and the house backs up to a large farm. The pool is human and dog friendly so bring your bathing suit. We are planning to keep the pool open until mid October, and will adjust the price accordingly. Of course, please don’t assume your dog can swim and keep a special eye on those who love to splash around. We also have a small kiddy pool that subs as a dog pool if that’s preferred. There are toys, towels, and treats on the table by the pool. Occasionally you will see/hear the neighbors two dogs through the fence but there is a safe space between the two fences. Our dogs will be out of sight but we can’t guarantee you won’t hear a bark or two. If you have a pup that likes their own space, or loves the water this is the place for you. The only thing precious is our pups so let them have a blast!

This Sniffspot is very conveniently located in southeast Nashville, 12 miles from downtown Nashville, 8 miles east of Brentwood, we are situated between OHB/Nolensville Rd intersection and just 4 miles from the new Tanger Outlets at i24. An idyllic setting awaits offering 7+ park-like acres of old farm land, mostly fenced, that includes waterfront access to Mill Creek with adventures for all kinds of humans and dogs to enjoy activities playing, running, sniffing, digging and playing in the water. Come get your steps in and spend some quality off-leash time! Training, photo shoots, picnics, birthday and gotcha parties, just explore, rest, or relax in the Adirondack chairs while your dogs sniff, zoom, roam, retrieve, sniff, dig, walk, run, and sniff some more. There's creek access to swim, pastures to roam or nap, play areas of tall grass the dogs can explore, sniff, dig or derp around. Even plan your picnic on a blanket or use the picnic table. Get some exercise on the trampoline (Note: use at your own risk!). Make this sniffspot your private oasis for as long as you want.. Kids are always welcome! Just book your play time, bring at least one dog and all humans are free! Mill Creek borders the very back of the property and is available for water play but trees and vegetation and overall acreage makes it easily avoidable if that's not your thing. If you choose to venture to the creek and have a runner, you may want to bring a long lead. The water levels are usually below the knee, but the ability to use Mill Creek safely depends on you, the creek conditions, and amount of recent rainfall. Always assess the abilities of you and your pets- as safety comes first! As Dirty Harry once said, "A man's got to know his limitations." The majority of the property has fencing so once you pass the house on your way to the back fields it's off leash play time! I recommend considering walking the perimeter first (on or off leash) to orient yourself with property features and assess potential escape opportunities. Your dog(s) will benefit from a perimeter walk allowing them to visually identify, mark their spots, and collect sniffs while at the same time reaping the benefit of your pack leaving an invisible "bread crumb" scent trail as you walk which will assist a dog with future identification of the established boundaries as well. This is a natural instinct for many breeds. Note that Mill Creek along the back of the entire property is not fenced but it is mostly obscured at dogs level by trees and vegetation. Tip: When leaving, you may want to leash up before you reach the house - especially if you have a runner since there is no fence on the side of the house you enter and leave the spot. Depending on the water table, there is also a small feeder stream gently flowing through the middle of the property between the side and back fields. It can be great fun for a dog to explore and jump in and out of (just try and stop them!) And great for smaller dogs if Mill Creek is too intimidating. Hint: bring towels! The mature tree lines always provide plenty of shade for those hot summer months. Several foot bridges are available to cross over that small stream between the side and back fields while exploring, and you might even find the occasional old fashioned rope wood swing. A black hose with spray wand attachment is hanging by the house at the entrance/exit i behind the fence if you need to rinse you or your pet. Turn on and off at the front of the house please. Another green hose is available hanging on the opposite corner in the back of the house by the BACK garage door for your use -along with a water bowl. That house is convenient when you're coming back from the creek for sure. Feel free to pick yourself wildflowers if they are blooming (late Spring/Summer Varieties), or snack on some blackberries off the fence line if you happen to come while they are ripening (usually mid-June to mid-July).... Bug spray is always recommended spring through fall, Just in case! You can't have all this nature without all the nature. 😉 If the calendar shows the time slot you want is available then book it and it's yours! Be last minute, that's fine! A hidden gem in the midst of Smyrna! Nested within the city limits is 25 acres of beauty and splendor - creeks, woods, field, trails, and a crystal clear spring. One side of the property is bordered by rock springs and has some natural fencing consistent with a century old farm and homestead. Walk back in time and enjoy the boundless scenery. Please be aware of the water features as the spring is deep and moves swiftly through the property. An abundance of wildlife live on the farm so don’t be surprised by deer, hawks, skunks, rabbits, raccoons and such. With a farm also comes briars, thorns, uneven ground, fox holes, mole tunnels, and of course, ticks and mosquitoes. So come prepared!

2 mile wooded trail plus creek (unfenced)

Park in the gravel lot at the bottom of the drive. Walk up the driveway towards the house, then head down the stone steps and cross the creek via the bridge (dogs are welcome to run through the creek)…the 2 mile loop takes about 30-40 minutes at a leisurely pace. Dogs are allowed to be off leash - just make sure they have good recall as we do have deer and other wildlife in the heavily wooded property. The trail is maintained monthly. It is quite steep in places and can be wet after a rain so I would mark this as an intermediate level hike. There are no other dogs on property as this is an event center that can be rented by the day or for 3+ night stays.

We live just outside of Davidson county about 18 miles from the middle of downtown. We are about 25 minutes from Green Hills and West Nashville. We have an enormous front yard which is fenced one one side. The property on that side does have dogs. Our yard spreads across the creek where we have a garden and a fire pit with 14 seats. We have ample firewood. The yard is not lit at night but there are spotlights on the house and tiki torches and lights on the bridge to the fire pit. We also have a shaded lawn in the back of the house. There are multiple seating areas in the front and back yard. We have a hose in the front and back as well. I can also turn on the water to the fire pit area if needed. We do have a creek, but it is dry unless there is a big rain. Also, the pond is at the end of the creek, right at the street. It’s pretty muddy, but please feel free to let your pup use it if you think they can be kept from the street. There is no fencing in this area. We have a large gravel parking area by the house and you are also welcome to park along the driveway if it is dry. Please do not park directly in front of the white seating area with red cushions as this is our septic area, but anywhere else is fine. We also have a grill, porch seating and a few outdoor dining areas.
