Monarch Hills Farm Private Dog Trails With Lake View In Holly

Enjoy a beautiful walk on a network of trails that traverse rolling hills in and out of the forest. At the back of the property, you will enjoy some of the best and most private scenery in Oakland County. As summer turns to fall there are a lot fewer bugs and beautiful color changes. Some trees are changing already. Please stay on the cleared paths on the West side and South portion of the property due to work being done on other sections. There are wooden arrow signs that help you navigate to the back of the property and back to the parking area. Thank you. We have 6 acres which is a mix of open area, woods and a creek. We keep the lawn cut but do not maintain our woods. You are free to cross the bridge and walk in the woods but it may be overgrown during summer and fall. Feel free to splash in the creek or check out the playhouse. We frequently see deer and other wildlife however they likely will be hiding when dogs are around. Please clean up after your pets. *please note we have a woodchuck living under our deck that likes to poop on our stairs. We try our best to clean it up but you may come across some woodchuck droppings.

***Recently added a Ninja Fireside 360 heater on the patio to keep you warm on those cold days. Free to use. Please make sure to turn propane on/off. This fully fenced in yard is the ultimate oasis. Walk your dog on over and relax next to Ford Lake with optional usage of the fire pit, fridge, and tiki torches. We also have two playgrounds for younger children (or children at heart) to enjoy. There's also a scooper, dog poop station, and toys available for you to use. Wifi is available free for guests. Connection information will be sent during your booking. Need to charge your phone or use an outlet? Feel free to plug-in to our outdoor receptacles. Need to run your dog at night? Not a problem! We have exterior lights we can turn on both by the lake and near the house that will give you more than enough light to see. There's also solar lights placed throughout the yard. While we don't specifically have an outdoor restroom, if you need to use the restroom, message us and we can let you inside. Dogs must remain outside while you use the facilities. Stay for an hour or have an evening relaxing by the lake with your pup. Note that if your dog is more reactive around people, we recommend coming during the morning during the week. During the summer you may see neighbors out in their yards doing yard work. We have put the pool away and started putting the hoses away for the season. While we do our best to keep the yard free of poop and check every other day, you may still find some from either guests or our two dogs. We have nearly an acre of yard and it does make it difficult for us to find them all every time. As far as updates from this summer, we have poured two concrete pads: one for a shed and another as a patio under the pergola. We have also had the black walnut tree by the garage cut back significantly to the property line. While this reduces shade on the garage area, it also should reduce the amount of black walnuts that fall.
