Jessica's 9.5 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Black Mountain

Unfenced
9.5 acres

https://youtu.be/XMlu-_mwiD0?feature=shared Welcome to cloud 9! Our sweet little slice of paradise. Click the YouTube link to see a video tour of the property as it was operating prior to the hurricane. Most everything still looks the same... We've removed a couple of tiny houses but otherwise it is as as depicted in the video. With slight changes based on season. We have 9.5 acres of pristine mountain glory We have a large unfenced Field, Shallow Creek with some small waterfalls, a spring that feeds a tiny pond, a large cleared Homesite that's away from the road moderate to difficult trails and beautiful views. The trails are moderate until you come to the areas that we had landslides, at which point, you can turn around or enjoy the difficulty it presents. Sometimes I or other guests may be on property. If you don't want any other dogs present while you're here, please confirm by text ahead of your reservation time. Thanks so much! We look forward to sharing our sweet space with you. We do not have any trash service. Please do not leave any trash of any version on property including plastic wrapped poop... you'd think that would go without saying...but experience shows it must be said.🙄 All of your activities while on property are at your own risk. Owners, heirs, and other affiliated parties are not responsible for anything that happens to you or your pet.

55The owner, Lori, met us at the gate and introduced the sniff spot to us. Very friendly and accommodating ( water bowl and bottles available + milk bone treats and sticks). Property is huge and fenced. Hosts informed us that they have horses in the back portion of the property. They are planning to put up a horse corral. The trails on the property connects the front to the back portion so we took a peak at it and saw the horses but kept our dog on a long leash because we are still getting her used to wildlife and farm animals. We hope to explore more of the property next time! Overall our pup really enjoyed her time there !

55Lori, the host, met me at the gate. We parked and talked for a few minutes and she discussed the property. I was the first visitor and her and her husband were finishing walking the primary part of the property and fixing the tops of the fences (I was aware of this and they weren’t able to do so earlier in the morning due to rain) where deer have beaten it down. But fencing was secure overall. Horse poop is around which provided a disgusting but tasty treat for my dog to eat and roll around in. She advised there’s some trail area in the woods that they hadn’t really checked the fencing on yet and recommended leashing there. We walked through the trails and ended up where the horses are. The horses were very interested in my pup and followed us back through the trails back to the primary pasture (I do not personally like horses so I was not a fan). The horses were nice I am just scared of them lol. Lori said the next time she would put them in a corral at my request! My hour was almost coming to an end anyway so I just chatted with Lori and her husband for a bit. Lori also provided a dog bowl and water for pup and humans, milkbones, sticks and toys if my dog were interested. Other animals are visible but generally keep their distance! Lori also told me she plans to put in some kiddie pools for dogs as the weather warms up more. Overall fun experience! Will be back again very soon.

Frequently asked questions about Ellenboro dog hiking trails

What amenities do Ellenboro dog hiking trails typically include?

Ellenboro dog hiking trails feature amenities designed for natural exploration and varied terrain: wooded trails, open meadows, and varied natural terrain, secure fencing options, water stations, waste disposal, and often extras like toys, shade structures, or parking. Unlike public parks with generic setups, Ellenboro hosts customize their spaces. Browse 21 listings to compare—from bare essentials to luxury amenities perfect for your dog's needs.

How much does it cost to use Ellenboro dog hiking trails?

Sniffspot runs on a membership model with monthly and annual plans that include credits toward Ellenboro dog park bookings. Members get discounted rates at participating Ellenboro spots, and new users can start with a 7-day free trial. There are no surprise booking fee. Your credits cover the reservation. Browse Ellenboro dog hiking trails listings to see individual spot pricing, and check your membership dashboard to see how many credits you have available.

How clean are private dog hiking trails in Ellenboro compared to public parks?

Significantly cleaner. Public dog parks in Ellenboro see dozens of dogs daily with sporadic city maintenance. Private dog hiking trails have dedicated hosts who maintain their own spaces—cleanliness directly affects their reviews and bookings. Many Ellenboro hosts provide fresh poop bags, sanitized water stations, and regular grounds cleaning. With only one booking at a time, waste accumulation is minimal.

Can I book Ellenboro dog hiking trails on short notice?

Usually yes! Many Ellenboro dog hiking trails offer same-day or next-day availability with instant booking. Unlike public parks that might be crowded unpredictably, Ellenboro private dog hiking trails let you reserve exactly when needed: early morning before work, midday breaks, evening exercise. Real-time availability shows on each listing—perfect for last-minute training or when routines get disrupted.

What's the best time to visit dog hiking trails in Ellenboro?

Any time works since bookings are private! Unlike public dog parks in Ellenboro that are crowded during peak hours (mornings, evenings, weekends), you don't worry about timing. Book when it fits YOUR schedule—midday when it's quiet, dawn for cool weather, late evening for convenience. Many Ellenboro dog hiking trails have lighting for after-dark visits. This flexibility is perfect for shift workers or dogs with special needs.

Do Ellenboro dog hiking trails allow multiple dogs?

Yes! Most Ellenboro dog hiking trails welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings), but generally you can bring your whole pack. This is perfect for multi-dog households in Ellenboro where some dogs are selective—they can play together privately without outside interference. Great for sibling bonding or families with mixed ages/temperaments.

Can I use Ellenboro dog hiking trails for special events?

Many Ellenboro dog hiking trails welcome doggy birthday parties, training workshops, breed meetups, or group playdates. Private bookings mean your event won't be interrupted. Coordinate with Ellenboro hosts about capacity, amenities (parking, shade, water), and any restrictions. Some even provide party extras. Check individual Ellenboro dog hiking trail listings for event policies.

How do Ellenboro dog hiking trails accommodate dogs with special needs?

Ellenboro dog hiking trails are excellent for special needs dogs because you can filter for specific requirements: flat terrain for mobility issues, secure fencing for blind/deaf dogs, quiet locations for anxious dogs, small spaces for seniors, or maximum privacy for reactive dogs. Read reviews from other Ellenboro special-needs dog owners, and contact hosts with questions. The private setting means you can adapt the experience to your dog's unique requirements.
