The Doggy Dome

Fully Fenced
15 acres

We live on 15 acres, and now have 1.5 acres fully fenced! It is all very flat land making for an easy stroll with your dogs. We are boarded on two edges by farm fields and two edges by neighbors. There is a trail that circles the property, with plenty of space to explore. During the summer, please take advantage of the small kiddie pool. There are also toys and chairs in the fenced area for all guests. Some seasonal things to keep in mind: Spring/fall when we have heavy rain, some areas could have standing water and/or be muddy. Mid to late summer, there are fox tails (cheat grass) that can cling to your dogs. Winter, the trails might not be plowed. There will be a 5gal bucket in the wood shed (inside the fenced area) full of water you can use to refill the two water bowls. Keep an eye out for trip hazards! Logs, sticks, uneven ground and holes.

Ray's Private Dog Park In Edwall

Partially Fenced
50 acres

The 50 acres is mostly timber, with a 7 acre pond that has water in it most of the year. It will dry up on really hot years. I do have chickens and pack goats by the house. But they are inside mesh fencing, so your dogs won’t be able to get to them. The 50 acres is completely fenced with a 3 to 5 strand Barbwire fence. It’s in good shape. It is also the property boundary. So as long as you stay inside of the fence, you will be on the property. There are not a lot of neighbors but the ones I have are nice. When you come up the driveway, you can pass the house and drive up on the hill and Park at the conex container. There is lots of wildlife on the property, and I highly recommend that your dog has some sort of tick repellent, we do have ticks in the spring time. The upper part of the driveway is not graveled, so if there’s melting snow, or a lot of ran, it can get muddy. So be prepared for that. I hope you enjoy the property as much as we do. ***ALL PRICES LISTED ARE IN USD***

Sanctuary: Hidden Acres: Off‑Leash - Meadow, Pond & Trails

Fully Fenced
20 acres

Adventure abounds… even getting here! Use this address to arrive to S. 8th Street (you want to drive down this gravel road): 12398 S 8th St, Medical Lake, WA 99022 This is a gravel road with NO TRESPASSING signs. Ignore those (dog visitors welcome). You can confirm your location accuracy using this Google Maps coordinate: (47.5402231, -117.6853444) Drive ALL THE WAY DOWN S 8th Street. Nearly at the end of it, you'll will drive up a hill. Once over the hill, drive ahead until you reach a white RV ahead of you. Park to the right or left before the RV. You’ll see a fenced area (to your right), hobbit (made of sticks) fences and flowers (to your left of where you park). SniffSpot prevents active links grab a screenshot and send the shot to ChatGPT or any AI app, it will make the link active: https://www.google.com/maps/d/embed?mid=1Qt7TZuAU0Ch4aBdz2ye2zUUNCOvWnRk&ehbc=2E312F The link is a map of the 20 acres with trails, bird watching sites, wildlife sightings, and ponds. Trust the journey. Let your pup run wild (off-leash) through tall, waving grass, explore trails, or dive into the ponds (Gaia gives it five wet tail wags). This is a natural playground, not a manicured park, where paws get muddy and noses stay busy. My dog Gaia might greet you, she’s friendly, gentle, and loves having company. If your pup prefers solo adventures, just let me know. Your presence and financial support go 100% to dogs in need. Nurses: Please pick flowers. They are for you.

55This is our 3rd or 4th time here. I've went ahead and signed up for a membership. Black Pond Farm has great availability. This Sniffspot is always clean. Sometimes you can see giant Pacific salamanders. My Swissy loves running up and down the trails and exploring every nook and cranny. The seating area and canopy at the fair end of the trail is nice for a break. Today we practiced truffle hunting with scent tins. Thanks for offering such a lovely place for my dog and me.

Well, my puppies, getting his ball we noticed there is some barbwire in the ground over there so please be cautious. That’s very scary now I have to try to keep him away from that area.

55Great space to have a private hike with the dogs! We were excited to be able to use this space to practice some leash skills. I would be careful on some of the paths with dogs that tend to run before looking, there are some steep hills/cliffs that our dogs almost went over on some of the walk. Once we saw it we just put them on leash and were fine, but just a good thing to be on the lookout for. Lovely space, would definitely book again.

55This place is so incredible! I may have some property envy. Lol. My Great Pyrenees, husky and I arrived a little late, but I was fine with even 30 minutes. Luckily for us we were able to book an extra hour. My Pyrenees had the best day of his life! We cannot wait to go back several times until we have our own piece of property like this. I'm telling every dog owner I know about this place....too good not to share😊

55Sniffers: Please be responsible dog owners and remember to pick up your dogs poop! I stepped in two piles of poop and saw several other abandoned poo piles while exploring this beautiful secluded escape It was rather disgusting and frustrating to have to spend time picking it out of my shoes instead of enjoying the hiking trails with my dog. This is not a host problem, this is an irresponsible/lazy dog owner problem. But I digress, we spent 2.5 hours here and the host does a lovely job of setting up this space with comforting amenities. A lot of thought and planning went into the sniff spot. I might contribute some strawberry roots for the community garden. I'm curious to see how they plan to develop the abandoned cottages at the entrance. It was fun to poke around the grounds and look at some of the abandoned relics. This land had a story and it was fun thinking about what history it had. My pup loved bounding through the trails, ferns, and crinkly fall leaves. We explored the dried up creek beds. It was not muddy when we went but it's been an unusually dry November. We practiced some truffle hunting scent training out in the woods and sniffed all the smells. This would be a berry pickers paradise in summer time. Overall a very "Tranquil Forest" if you need some solitude with just the dog.

55Beautiful spot! The owners clearly put a lot of effort into making this a special destination. My girl was happy to crunch through leaves on the pretty trails without fear of running into another dog to stress her out. We’ll be back! p.s. Thank you to the sniffspotter who recommended swinging by SnoTown coffee nearby. Delicious and they had treats and kind words for my pooch too.

Frequently asked questions about Harrington dog hiking trails

Where can I find dog hiking trails in Harrington?

Harrington has 7 private dog hiking trails available through Sniffspot, offering natural exploration and varied terrain in completely private settings. These locations range from compact spaces to properties spanning 50+ acres. Whether you need a space for your reactive dog, puppy socialization, senior dog gentle exercise, or high-energy play, Harrington dog hiking trails provide safe, private environments. Filter for "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, or fencing types to find your perfect match.

How many dog hiking trails are in Harrington?

Harrington offers 7 dog hiking trails ranging from compact spaces to properties spanning acres. You'll find options such as dog field, fully fenced dog park, dog agility park, and more. Each Harrington dog hiking trail listing shows detailed photos, amenities, fencing specs, and reviews from local dog owners.

Are Harrington dog hiking trails good for all dog types?

Yes! Harrington dog hiking trails work for every dog: puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel safer without large breeds, high-energy dogs requiring space, and reactive or anxious dogs needing privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets the environment they need. Browse Harrington's 7 options to find spaces matching your dog's specific temperament and needs.

Will I encounter other dogs at Harrington dog hiking trails?

Not a chance. Harrington dog hiking trails operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For Harrington owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.

Are Harrington dog hiking trails safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Yes! Harrington dog hiking trails provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment without overwhelming encounters. Many Harrington dog owners specifically choose dog hiking trails for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Can puppies use Harrington dog hiking trails?

Absolutely! Harrington dog hiking trails are excellent for puppy socialization because they're private and controlled. Puppies can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment, practice recall, and build confidence without the overwhelming chaos that can create fear or reactivity in young dogs. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

How do I choose the best dog hiking trail in Harrington?

Start by filtering Harrington's 7 dog hiking trails for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like Harrington's The Doggy Dome with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Harrington owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.

What are Harrington's dog hiking trail requirements?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Harrington host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog hiking trails welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
