Hello to all you fur baby fans out there! As a dog dad, I know the amount of energy we need to get out of them for them to remain healthy and happy. My 15yo lab was let off the leash permanently in February and I'm not ready to commit full time again...yet. Having had dogs all my life and having a 9yo son that that says he'll do all the work, I'm sure it will happen soonish but for now this option works great for both of us! My Spot is a spacious fully fenced backyard with great shade at any time of the day. The entrance is on the west side of the house. There is occasionally a dog in the yard to the west but there is an 8 ft fence on that side. The chainlink section in the back will have people in their yard rarely but no pets. I will take care of any cleanup and disposal for you for an additional $2/dog. Come, play, leave. Easy peasy! Feel free to eat some raspberries while you're here, if they are in season. Now my description: Opportunity Woods offers 5+ acres of hilly woods and long grass meadow surrounded by a secure 6 foot fence. Several benches are placed along the rustic trails, but of course, there is no need to stay on a trail! A water bowl can be found and filled from the human-potable water hydrant, where you will also find a wading pool for dog and human use in summer. There is a roofed picnic/shade shelter just up the hill from the hydrant. Take in the serene view of the surrounding area, and get a Birdseye view of Opportunity Farm, where sheep graze the nearby paddocks. Wire-wheel tables and chairs are available for relaxing, hanging out with your dog or having a picnic. Have your dog invite their friends to join in the fun, or have a private play date just with you!

Our property is a dog’s paradise! We have an open backyard, wooded trails, and an orchard out back with tall grasses. We keep the trails and orchard mowed for walking, but your dog will have ample woods, puddles, and other adventures at their disposal! Since we live in the woods, we occasionally have trees fall down on our 5 foot welded wire fence. Please be mindful if your dog is an exit seeker, although we walk the fence and mend any spots we see often. For SPRING/SUMMER months, tics and mosquitos are around. We do not spray our land, so make sure you and your pup have the protection you need. In summer mosquitos are often worse near dawn and at dusk, especially in thicker parts of the woods, and less so in the backyard and orchard areas. In the winter, we snowmobile our trails to keep them walkable! There may be slippery spots here and there, so prepare accordingly! Be sure to look ahead at the roads on MN 511 in case of winter weather.

Enjoy expanses of wide open area as hayfields surround our property. There are many areas for the humans to sit and watch their dog(s) run around and have fun. There is a picnic table, benches, tables/chairs, and gliders. Have fun watching our critters whose pens are just on the other side of our backyard. We have horses, goats, ducks, and chickens. (Dogs are not allowed in with the farm animals.) We have a fenced in garden area within the backyard. The garden is surrounded by rose bushes. In the middle is a courtyard with glider benches around a propane fire pit, a table/chairs, with a tiered water fountain in the middle. (Dogs not allowed within the garden area.) Enjoy the many types of birds that fly overhead on their way to Peltier Lake. There are also Sandhill cranes that show up periodically, as well as turkeys & geese. Treat your dog to a wide open area to sniff, play, and run to their heart’s content. Treat yourself to a pleasant setting that is like no other. We look forward to your visit!

Fenced in backyard in west part of Woodbury. Some grass, dirt, mulch, but mostly cement which helps keep dogs nails filed down. We do have dogs on all sides of us, some which are visible. So very reactive dogs might not do well here but could be a great place to work on those reactive tendencies.
