My senior dogs loved exploring and sniffing Erica's back yard, which was clean and comfortable. There were some balls laying around, but both my dogs were more interested in exploring all the new smells and going in and aeound the trees and bushes. The fence has like 4 inch squares so might be an issue if you have a tiny escape artist
