Rent safe and private dog hiking trails hosted by locals in Mallorytown, Ontario

*Sniffspot currently lists all prices in US dollars* Welcome! This is a private rental, when you book you are the only one in the space. We have three areas for you to enjoy, all are fully fenced and are included in the rental price. We have a fully fenced acre of woods with a trail that goes through to explore. It is accessed through the gate in the backyard. We also have a front yard and deep backyard, great for running, fetch and recall training. The yard is 1.5 acres and also fully fenced. During the summer you have access to two seating areas including a picnic table, gazebo for shade (seasonally) a 30 foot tether is also available if you would like to have your dog stay beside you while you relax. During the winter, paths are plowed in both yards and in the woods within 3-5 hours of a significant snowfall. All dog breeds welcome, reactive dogs welcome.

RIVER LOVERS’ SPOT IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE…. We are overrun with Canada Geese. The nesting pair were welcome but the number that have moved in since are overwhelming. Their waste has made the site unpleasant. There are 50-80 in residence currently. The adolescents are 75%. Attempts to thwart them have not been as successful as summers past. I will change the calendar (and pics) as the move on. Summer is short!! UPDATE: We are awaiting approval by Dept. Environmental Conservation for ground changes. I’M ANXIOUS AND WILL POST WORD SOON…please be patient 🙁. Follow up 8/10/2022 With summer slipping away and things not changing on our waterfront, I’ve decided to open the calendar and see what happens. Things don’t always go as planned. The water is low. The shore is rocky (but not far in). The natural shore is pretty mucky. And there’s an old dock that needs to be pulled. Mostly cosmetic and negotiable with the keepers of the wetlands. DOGS DON’T CARE. Take a peek and see if it would suit your pup. We’ll be here next year but once it freezes it’s a “no dog” zone. 🐾 Dogs, bring your people and swim, run, or just watch the ships on the St. Lawrence. No fence but there’s more riverfront than road front. Our spot is small, quiet and your only distractions will be shore birds, waterfowl and fish. The shore is low rocks so good footing preferred. The water is shallow. The vistas are perfect. All dogs should have a river spot to share.

When you book a Sniffspot, you and your dog(s) are the only ones in the space. You're more than welcome to split the rental with friends, or plan a play date. Our Sniffspot is our backyard (attached to the house), which is about 1.5 acres of mostly open lawn... great for playing fetch or running at top speed! It is securely fenced with 5' fencing. There is seating, gazebo for shade, dog toys, and agility equipment and a dog pool. In the winter there are plowed paths. A separate, 8 acre fenced area is also available seasonally. Pool is off limits. Cameras on pool. Waste can available. Power outlet is near propane tanks. Do not go where its not mowed. Fissures in ground where its not mowed. You could fall in. Pets could be lost. Jugs of water on table. Bring your own bowls. Thank you

I recommend you bring some insect repellent. All dogs are required to have proof of up to date vaccination appropriate for the dogs age. Only dogs allowed in the pond , no humans please. Price is $15 per hr for 1st dog , $10 each additional dog .

Property also features hayfeilds, trails, some unmaintained ponds and lots of wildlife. Farm has horses, ducks, chickens and barn cats.

I have 5 acres of meadow with trails cut through it. Behind my property is a private, seasonal road that I don’t own. I have a tiny house on wheels that I live it year round. I will have water set up. I do have a pond in my property that can be used. There are tons of apples to be had as well as berries in season. I have patio furniture set up for sitting.
