55This was Teddy’s and my first adventure with sniff spot. We chose this spot for the fact that it offered grassy and wooded areas. We were not disappointed. Teddy thoroughly enjoyed exploring off leash for the first time! His sniffer got a great workout. Teddy and I give this spot 👍👍👍!Annette C.

55It is a nice property, and the dogs enjoyed running. It is mostly tall grass/trees, and the area with short grass had a decent amount of stuff laying on it. There was what I am guessing was a burn bit with tons of molds of teeth, which was a bit of a surprise. Overall though, we didn’t enjoy our time there.Courtney M.

55This property is for the adventurous type! Be sure to wear your bug prevention because there are lots of tall grasses, weeds, and plants to wade through. The dogs absolutely loved a piece of country living! Please be aware, the gate does not open, so you’ll need to park in front of it and walk around it to enter. I’m sharing photos of some things that could be considered a little dangerous, just so you’re aware that these things are on the property. Andrea Z.

55My pups were exhausted and happy! Overall, it was great. The human was a little disappointed. The description has since been updated about the closed gate. It's nerve wracking walking onto someone else's property, let alone when you're told the gate is open, but after driving 40 minutes it's closed. We only found one creek, and access was blocked by barbed wire going along the property perimeter where it was. Hilltop has a small section of maintained grass the rest is more like a tall brush field, not like in the pictures. Again, pups had a blast, I would have prepared differently had I know. Christina D.

55Fantastic!! Lots of grassy room to run and a big hill to climb, which is great to wear out those high energy pups!!!
Lots of varied terrain to explore which is wonderful, just watch for burrs. Plus no mud at all, even after all the torrential rain we’ve been getting!Meredith B.

Will I encounter other dogs at Pacific dog hiking trails?
Not a chance. Pacific dog hiking trails operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For Pacific owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.
Are Pacific dog hiking trails safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment without overwhelming encounters. Many Pacific dog owners specifically choose dog hiking trails for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

Start by filtering Pacific's 8 dog hiking trails for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like Pacific's 50 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Winfield with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Pacific owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.
What are Pacific's dog hiking trail requirements?
All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Pacific host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog hiking trails welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
