55We took my pup here for some enrichment and a quick training session. It was so peaceful out here and I loved walking around the pond. Definitely not a good spot if your dog has poor recall, but worked great for what I was looking for. So many frogs in the pond!! It was a muddy but I dont mind letting my boy get a little dirty, Abe had great directions and the neighbors were even nice enough to help when we needed more instructions. It is not fenced on the side towards the road but the pond and everything is far enough away, it didn't matter. Isabella M.

Definitely not a good spot if your dog has poor recall, but worked great for what I was looking for. So many frogs in the pond!! It was a muddy but I dont mind letting my boy get a little dirty, Abe had great directions and the neighbors were even nice enough to help when we needed more instructions. It is not fenced on the side towards the road but the pond and everything is far enough away, it didn't matter.

55We had a great time! From Sacramento it’s a 40 minute drive so we reserved 2 hours. The spot is right off the freeway and there’s a gas station down the street if the humans need a potty break or food. There’s no signage so we just followed the GPS and figured we were in the right place once we drove up the little road and saw the pond. It is a good size pond, my pup had a great time wading in the water and grabbing stuff from it. There’s plenty of space to throw a ball if your dog is into that (not mine). There’s lots of shaded areas and chairs are provided. We walked a bit around and explored as well. Just be prepared and bring towels, dogs are guaranteed to get filthy (but you know they had a blast when they’re super dirty and tired!). Make sure to bring water, it did get a little hot in the sun. Also come with good shoes as the ground is uneven and lots of grass, dirt and pokey plants depending on which area of the property you’re on. There is fence dividing the area from the neighbors except for the area by the road but it is not a busy road and we were far enough it was not an issue. the Thanks to the host for allowing us to enjoy this beautiful spot and bring our dog so much joy! There were areas of shade too which was perfect for water breaks and snacks for the humans as we were there for two hours . The host also sent instructions so it was easy to find the entrance . When we first visited in January half the property was very dry with lots of tall prickly plants which made it hard to navigate. When we returned today there was several nice streams flowing, the pond was full, and had lots of green grass. You still need to be careful as some areas are thick with thorny vines and plants, but we felt like we were able to explore much more of the property this time. It doesn’t quite feel like 10 acres, but it’s definitely a big area. My dog had a blast playing in the water! There’s a few muddy areas so I would come prepared with the right footwear and towels. The green grass was nice but it’s quite tall in some places so you really have to watch your step. I don’t expect this type of property to be regularly mowed, but getting a good cut every so often would help make it more walkable. A few parking signs would be nice too.
