We've got you covered! A doggy/pet parent haven on a quiet dirt road. 18 acres of beautiful mowed paths in fields surrounded by woods. A deck to relax on, and a fire pit with some wood. Pristine and toxin-free. There's an outhouse (the loo!) for pet owners. Ample parking, and some solar lights at night. There's poo bags, and a rain shelter. Your dog won't be the only one who wants to come back! ( Due to freezing conditions, there will be no water until Spring.)

Welcome to The Vista, a 30-acre outdoor space, with 15 acres for dogs and owners to enjoy. The area includes three main sections: an open field, a pond, and hiking trails. While there are no visible animals or pets on the higher levels, neighbor dogs may occasionally be visible at a distance from the lower areas. Wildlife is active and may cross your path—please avoid interaction when possible. This is an unfenced, off-leash location, and we cannot be held liable for dogs who are escape artists! Our pond spans 20 feet across and over 20 feet deep, with an almost immediate drop-off when stepping in. The pond is spring-fed and stocked, so feel free to swim, fish, or float during your visit (anytime between June and November). There is no electricity or formal structure, but you are welcome to set up a tent or umbrella for shade. This is a carry in–carry out site, so please leave no trace behind, including your trash. For twice the fun with your furry friend, consider upgrading to camp overnight! A porta potty is onsite, but there is no water or electricity available. Please note that security video surveillance is in place for safety.

I also print out a list of local dog friendly eateries as well as other small cafes and shops locally! I provide a garden hose to rinse your pup off if they get a little muddy! Let your dog run wild and play on our hay meadows in Putnam Station NY. Spot is woman owned and operated, features seclusion and great visibility for a safe, rural experience (please see the map included in the listing). Wide open meadows are beautiful and convenient to NY 22 on a quiet country road. Easy, paved access from the Eastern shores Lake George NY, near Fort Ticonderoga, and the Western Shore of Lake Champlain. Dog owner DOES NOT need to clean up pet waste at our spot ;D Your pet's poo is a beneficial deterrent against crop damage and helps keep deer from hiding their fawns in the meadow. You should have leash, voice, or buzz collar control (we have collars available) to protect from escape into the wilderness or out onto the road. Please contact us a day in advance if you would like to borrow buzz collar system or GPS (so we can make sure everything is fully charged). Our town is VERY strict on DCO enforcement - no loose dogs on the road or neighboring properties EVER please, they would probably send you a ticket in the mail! :P If you anticipate having trouble with keeping your dog close upon entering/leaving the meadows please bring your car well within the steel gate to park before letting pooches out onto the meadows - there is a magnificent view toward the end of the access road and space to turn around in dry weather. Water features are available through streams and small ponds at various locations in the woods, also along the lake there are some ponds, for those who want a longer adventure. Pets may dig anywhere along the wooded edge of the meadows, please no digging in the grassland.
