Fresh water and sticks, balls available. It is country area so we have wildlife (raccoons, coyotes, hawks, eagles, deer and deer ticks) to be aware of.

Daily 7 A.M. until 7 P.M. we offer a partially fenced 100 acre property where your dogs can run free. We have 3 official trails currently, plus 2 groomed 1 acre field play areas. At this time there are also 2 large fields that have been harvested of soy and are perfect for walking and playing. We have chairs in the first field for you to relax. We have a Chuckit available to throw balls for your dogs. Fresh well water in a bucket, for dogs, and bowls, are provided in the first field also. There is a pond in the first field right behind the deer you'll see there. I don't recommend it for humans at all and only for dogs in May, but dogs have been swimming in there all summer and seem to be liking it fine! From there we have a mile long gravel walking trail along fields and forest. It's very straight, and if you stay on the trail, you can't get lost. It is very quiet and peaceful. Part way back there is a small run-off creek and metal culvert that is suitable for dog swimming in the spring and this summer due to all the rain we have had. This is marked with orange pylons so is avoidable if you put your dogs back on a lead as you pass. You can often see deer, wild turkeys and lots of birds, sometimes bald eagles. A walk to the end and back is 2 miles and takes 40 minutes at a moderate pace. Just past the culvert, we offer a trail around a plowed wheat field going East. It's along woods and takes about 15 minutes ending on the main trail. Just past here, we have several soybean fields that have been harvested so go wherever you like! You can also access the Shady Walk at the bottom of the big hill once you get there along the main trail. This walk is very pretty, maybe 10 minutes in and ends in another small play area. This small field has a deer stand and does, at this time, have a trail camera in there so be advised! If we capture your image, or your dogs, we will simply delete it. Note that our calendar will be blocked whenever the Spot is being used for any sort of hunting. In Ontario October, November and December is deer hunting season so it is advised to always wear bright colours, wherever you walk! Be dressed for gravel on the trail, uneven footing on the wheat field trail, and potential water and mud puddles on the property in wet seasons and after rain. The main trail runs North/South so if you want a sunny walk, go at midday. A shaded walk, go after 3 p.m. Cooler times are before 11 a.m. We plan to add a trail through the woods in the late fall once the insects and ticks die off. We have a white garbage can for poop but please use biodegradable dog poop bags. ***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD per hour for the first dog, subsequent dogs are $6/hour and guests will be charged in USD*** On your way home, stop at MacKinnon's brewery just down the road for food and drinks. There is a pond on the property without a fence around it. A dog have the ability to get out of the yard if they swim across the pond, but it is to a large cut field that we also own. The pond is mostly covered in duck weed all summer but is lovely in the spring and fall. It doesn't fully freeze in the winter. I own a very passive, but young dog that can come out and play if your dog wants a one on one friend. I'd like them to meet with me around first before booking a play time. Fencing is chainlink and farm fencing down the sides. Smaller dogs may be able to escape through the farm fencing. Seating on front porch and rear deck. Rear deck has an umbrella for shade. There is a bunch of parking in the driveway.

We have three areas for you to enjoy, all are fully fenced and are included in the rental price. We have a fully fenced acre of woods with a trail that goes through to explore. It is accessed through the gate in the backyard. We also have a front yard and deep backyard, great for running, fetch and recall training. The yard is 1.5 acres and also fully fenced. During the summer you have access to two seating areas including a picnic table, gazebo for shade (seasonally) a 30 foot tether is also available if you would like to have your dog stay beside you while you relax. During the winter, paths are plowed in both yards and in the woods within 3-5 hours of a significant snowfall. Hard packed snow and mild weather can create icy sections on the property, we put down sand and pet safe ice melt on the trails to help. Feel free to contact us for trail conditions before booking. All dog breeds welcome, reactive dogs welcome.
