Please be advised that you are in bear territory. Carry the bear spray provided if it makes you more comfortable. Please pick up after your dog, there is a waste bin at the entrance. Please help yourself to a laminated map at the entrance and return after your walk. The map is posted throughout the trails with "you are here" symbols to help you navigate the trails. There is ample parking and a turn around so you do not need to back out onto a busy road. There are trash bins for poop bags, a water faucet on the outside of the house and a green crock for a water bowl. I try to have a chair or two available as well. There is shade in the morning but it is full sun in the afternoon. It is also a very breezy location because we are so close to Georgian Bay. Pls be thoughtful when you leave a review. This is not some big money making business. We offer our property to support dog families who need a safe space for activity. When we get negative reviews because someone is “too hot” or “it rained” it makes us question what we are doing and why. It is a lot of work to maintain this space. We really do hope you enjoy.

It’s the 1st house on your left east of the 400 or 1st house on your right west of Jane. When u turn in the drive way follow it to the left and then slight right, you’ll see the house. U can park beside the barn and have an awesome walk, sniff all the things. Bring rain boots or shoes u don’t love lol It can get mucky on the trails at times. Also, there may be farmers out there so if your dog is reactive, maybe come on a weekend. I use the term “trails” loosely as yes, there are trails but there’s also a lot of forested areas. Feel free to venture in there but bring the “EAU DE BUG SPRAY”. The skeeters are nasty out here. I also LOVE seeing the pics of the pups having a roll in the dirt or just living their best life. Bring on the photoshoot!

IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD *Please look at the pictures of the main gate before deciding if this spot is secure enough for your dog* The Sniffspot area is located at the back of my property. Where there is a 6 foot tall fence so that dogs are secure even in the winter with a few feet of snow on the ground. The trails are wide enough to drive a truck around back there, with the main loop being 1.5 km long. The rest of the trails connect one end of the loop to the other at various points. Total amount of trails is 2.87 kms. I have been open for over a year now but I am still making improvements when I get the time between work and family obligations. Hope your four legged friends enjoy it as much as my dogs do. *SPRING UPDATE* (Mid March-April- early May) The entrance gate to the Sniffspot in the spring does get muddy and with the saturated soil does hold standing water at times. Please do not park in the standing water. Also the gate area in early spring does flood and you will need rubber boots to cross this portion to access the fenced area. Check local weather conditions the day before and the day of your reservation for rain. If it was dry for days then the water usually drains away. Parking is still on my driveway until the snow melts completely. *WINTER CHANGES* (November -April) (-No water available over winter months -Gap under gate for snow clearance -Used dog bags go in green bin beside shop -Parking on driveway once deep snow arrives, dirt road will be blocked with pylons)

It is beside one of the many walking and bike trails. The lowest and largest area in this dog park sits on a flood plain. You may see a water build up like a pond, which eventually recedes to a layer of an ankle deep water beneath the grass that is not readily visible before it totally dries out. This occurs during the spring thaw and/or after a heavy rain. As such, some guests recommend keeping a pair of rainboots or beach footwear. Your dogs can play in or around it if they want, and it's entirely up to you. While there are no potential hazards, there are mosquiitoes that a bite can cause allergies to some. Mosquitoes are most active between dusk and dawn, specifically around sunrise and sunset. In the Markham area, peak mosquito season runs from May through September, with activity increasing dramatically on warm, humid days when temperatures exceed 10°C
