My pup had a wonderful time at shepherd shire. Host was very thoughtful and had water and extra balls for my dog to play with. We will definitely return. Thanks so much Steph for hosting a sniffspot

Wonderful spot! Fencing wasn't quite as secure as I'd hoped--some small gaps where an ambitious dog could get through--but we had a great time and it was so perfect for dog training.

My dogs and I love it here! They enjoy exploring the trees and sniffing in the leaves. There’s also a nice size grassy area to run in. It’s also a nice sanctuary for humans. I always feel so calm and peaceful here.

Very clean and secure yard with plenty of shade from the afternoon sun! The owners left fresh water and some toys out, which was much appreciated. My pups had a large time running around and getting their sniffs on, will definitely bring them by again.

My pups had a wonderful time - we will definitely be returning! The owner was very thoughtful (treats, toys, and water were present). The neighborhood was very quiet and we didn’t see/hear any dogs (just a neighbor a few houses down getting in their vehicle, but they were not loud at all)! The yard was great, as well - shade in different parts of the yard for warm days and plenty of space for zoomies!

Site was nicely set up to accommodate pet and pet parent. Fresh water bowls and reserves. Lots of toys. Seating shaded and sun for both pet and pet parent. I was just visiting from out of town and this was a great play area for my dog to spread out. She definitely wore herself out. I would do it again in a heartbeat😊

This is our first time ever going to a place like this. And let me say this exceeded my expectations!!! She has chairs out for the dog owners. Everything is so cute and organized. She had extra poop bags and treats and even some toys that you can use while being there. The back yard was pretty big and clean. My dogs enjoyed their stay and I will definitely be coming back. If you’re thinking about booking , DO IT! It’s worth it!!!

The yard is great. Just take note of the seven steps up to the front yard in case you are mobility challenged. You are parking on the street below. Otherwise my boys LOVED zooming around the open yard! Thank you!

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Winston-Salem area are 5 stars.
