Canine Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation located in North Augusta, South Carolina.
We have no employees and are staffed by 4 volunteers; 2 fulltime, 2 part-time. All puppies/dogs are fostered in 1 of 2 private foster homes.
We must limit the number of puppy/dog(s) we can foster due to our limited resources.
Our team consists of more than 50 years (combined) of "hands on" pet care and training; pre-adoption counseling and post adoption support.
We sincerely want to share the opportunity for others to experience the profound lesson in forgiveness, share the gift of unconditional love, and witness first-hand how truly appreciative these dogs are just to be a part of your life.
We are a NO KILL organization.
Mission and Vision
Our mission is to rescue dogs from shelters, puppy mills or other poor conditions and adopt them into loving homes; both in and out of state.
Adoption Policy
All Adoption decisions are made at the discretion of Canine Rescue volunteers.
Pre-Adoption:
1. Applicant MUST be 18 years or older to apply.
2. Adoption Application MUST be thoroughly completed with honesty
3. Pets currently in the home MUST be spayed or neutered
4. Pets currently in the home MUST be up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm preventative
5. Home property MUST be owned by applicant or if in rental property then the applicant MUST obtain landlord approval to have the pet(s)
6. Applicant MUST have a fenced yard OR provide multiple leashed outings daily for potty and exercise. No puppy/dog should ever be allowed outside in an unfenced area or without a leash.
7. Applicant MUST agree to a follow-up telephone interview with the foster parent after adoption is complete
