My phone died and we got a bit lost which was kinda scary initially, however my wonderful girl went nose to the ground and got us back to the barn❤️Roomie mistake; make sure your phone is charged!! 10/10 Sniffspot!!Caroline P.

55This was an AMAZING Sniffspot! The property is very well-maintained, with established trails that made exploring fun for all pack members, including the human. Easy to find, great instructions for access, beautiful property. My dogs had a great time playing in the creek, running in the open areas, and exploring the trails. Highly recommend. Kate M.

55Lots of woods to run and play. A nice creek that runs through. We had a great time. We did find a few ticks on us, so if you can, take precautions and wear tall socks and check yourself afterward.
Overall, great spot for the dogs. They loved it!Rebecca H.

55The dogs had a great time exploring the woods and the creek off leash. They are now muddy and covered with burrs and sleeping so hard. If you don't want mud and burrs, go to the park and keep them on their leashes. If you love to watch them exploring on their own and having a blast, and don't mind spending some time with a comb afterward, this is an excellent option. Joell S.

55This is our third visit to Sage’s and it is quickly becoming our top SniffSpot to visit! They have goats and pigs that are safely secured behind fencing. There’s tons of room for the dogs to romp! This may not be the best spot for people with mobility issues, as there are tree limbs down over some of the trails and some trails have steep inclines, but we were able to easily navigate around them! Everything is so lush and green. We will definitely be back soon! Lane W.

55We had a fantastic experience renting this private park for our two Pit Bulls. The open, forested space is incredible—there are tons of trees and plenty of room for them to really open up and run!
It felt completely secluded and safe. The park is far from any roads or traffic, and with no neighbors nearby, I didn't have to worry about my dogs wandering onto someone else's property. While there were farm animals on-site, they were far enough away that my dogs weren’t tempted or distracted at all.
Just a heads-up for others: I didn’t see any water sources (like hoses or creeks), so definitely bring your own water for your pups. It’s a beautiful, secure spot where they can just be dogs, and we’ll definitely be back!Wes L.

55We had such a great time at this spot! I would definitely recommend a long lead for dogs without great recall as our pup almost got away with rolling in something dead animal. That’s nature for ya! We also got some beautiful looking eggs that will go to great use. Thanks Sage!Katie S.

55Tail up plus tongue out = happy dog! The farm experience was a bit like Disneyland for my hound mix who had her nose to the ground running in all directions. Lots of stimulation and space to explore. I wasn't sure what she would think of the farm animals but they are actually in a different part of the property from where we were so it wasn't even an issue. The location was easy to find. I wore trail boots but there was no serious mud to speak of. It was really fun for all of us. We would most definitely love to visit again.Lisa T.

55Communication was great, no trouble finding the location but pro tip: Waze will have you trying to make one last left turn. Follow the directions given once you book for the last .2 of a mile. The location is amazing, trails are easy, the app provided for making sure we stayed on property was 🏅. If it’s been dry for a while I might pack some more water next time for them. The owner is too sweet and once again we are so grateful for people that let us use their property. This is among our top spots now & the best part is, between the drive and the visit, my dogs are so happy and tired tonight 😴Kristen U.

Frequently asked questions about Ashland City dog hiking trails
Why are private dog hiking trails better than public dog parks in Ashland City?
Private dog hiking trails in Ashland City eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Ashland City's 12 private dog hiking trails offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.
How safe are Ashland City dog hiking trails compared to public dog parks?
Ashland City dog hiking trails are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Ashland City dog hiking trails eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.
Are Ashland City dog hiking trails safe for reactive dogs?
Ashland City owners of reactive dogs choose dog hiking trails because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy natural exploration and varied terrain while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Ashland City reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.
Can anxious dogs safely use Ashland City dog hiking trails?
Yes! Ashland City dog hiking trails provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment at their own pace without stress. Many Ashland City dog hiking trails offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.
Are Ashland City dog hiking trails good for small dogs?
Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Ashland City dog hiking trails because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Ashland City avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog hiking trails eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.
Do Ashland City dog hiking trails work for senior dogs?
Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Ashland City dog hiking trails because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Ashland City dog hiking trails with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.
