Amapola Acres Private Dog Park In Bend | Sniffspot
55I wasn’t 100% sure I wasn’t trespassing (the owner later reached out to say she was getting a new sign), but then I found lots of hidden dog toys and Cleveland really enjoyed exploring the treasures in what, at first,looked like a mostly empty field. Also loved the canal! I couldn’t see the whole perimeter so I was a bit insecure about going off leash, but it was indeed fully fenced. Would love to return!Maureen T.

My reactive dobie is so high energy and usually gets bored with a spot after 45 mins, but he could stay here all day. We normally spend our time playing fetch, but he was too busy chasing cars and motorcycles and swimming in the creek. I was a little nervous that he’d jump the fence or something, with how busy the road is and how many triggers there were, but this space was so safe for him to explore and get all the barks and sprints out. 55If you're one who enjoys getting their furry kids out into different and more expansive nature, this place is the ticket.
Altho dirt road for 2 miles when getting off of Hwy 20 and lower profile vehicles like my Impreza might have some trouble near the last 1/4 mile due to the larger rocks and thicker/longer branches, the drive is very easy and the panoramic view early in the morning (before 7) is impeccable.
When about to enter where the sign says SniffSpot and Google Maps even says to go left, the road seems to wanna take you right. This is where the road has some divots and rocks that are even a bit bigger, so be prepared when going left. We drove down the lane only a dozen yards or so when l wasn't certain I'd find a spot to turn around and the road is a bit less smooth than the previous one, so we parked there and were able to back out easily (slowly) without issue afterwards. While exploring the area, found another sign down said lane on the left that said SniffSpot, also, and the area had a table and 2 lawn chairs and a 5-gallon bottle of water with a bowl. There's also an area to turn around, albeit, needa maneuver a bit to do so.
Lotsa deer on 20, but once off the Hwy not only no more deer, there were no cows, other pups, or even horses visible or heard.
It had rained some overnight which helped tamper any potential dustiness. And with the temps in the 40s at 7am, the crispness was invigorating, spawning the boys to ramp up their run and leaps, even the 14yo. When the hour was up, the boys just didn't wanna leave cuz there were ENDLESS discoveries and sniffs to explore.
This is a definite must-get-to if your pup loves the outdoors and complete openness...BethAnne x.

I’ve been to lots of sniff spots and never been to one with as many toys as this one and all the toys were unbelievably clean and it great shape. It was like walking into a doggie toy store! It was the perfect combo of nooks and elevations to explore, soft grass to roll around in, a pristine swimming pond, and plenty of room run, run, run in both sun and shade within a secure fence 🐶🐶. Our pups couldn’t be happier and are perfectly exhausted. ❤️

It was raining during our visit but we still enjoyed the beautiful pond and the pups dipped their paws in. The seating area for the humans was so nice especially having warm drinks on a chilly day. We also loved all the toy options and to end a fantastic visit I really appreciated the clean towels right at the exit.
