We will provide you and your best friend ( friends) with two acres of fully fenced property for your dogs to run free! Part of the property is Forest, where your dogs can forage, roam amongst the trees, dig, or just take in all the smells. Our visitors tell us It's the best of both worlds with the woods to roam and open areas to play fetch or practice on some of the agility equipment . Our space is very peaceful and beautiful, with lots of texture. We have a shade (or rain) canopy with a picnic table under it, fresh water, toys, and poop bags. :) I have 3 dogs that roam the upper 2 acres of the property. Sterling (border collie) Piper (border collie) and our newest member Wriggley ( husky mix) SHE was supposed to be a foster dog, but we fell in love with her... If your dogs roam up to the very edge of the Woods where the 4 acres are divided, they may see or hear my pups if they are outside. My pups may also bark for a minute as you play in the grass area down below if they see you. The property adjacent to us is the home of two nice dogs. They are very friendly. If our neighbors let them into their back field, there is a chance you and your dog will see them. Those same neighbors also have some piglets that are sometimes allowed to roam on the back end of their property. There is a chance you will catch them romping around. We hope to see you soon!

This is a 2 acre wooded loop on Mt Scott. Our property bumps up against the Wahoo nature reserve is very private, shaded by large trees and well maintained. Our dog loves the woods and creek. We decided to open it to the community so other dogs and their families can enjoy it.

Private Dog Park on 1+ Acres near Mt. Scott Creek: We are a private park 5 minutes from Clackamas Town Center. A fully enclosed (1 acre) field and hills with Mt Scott Creek meandering through the lower field (the creek is not fenced at both ends). The creek runs all year; the water level reduces in the summer, but there are locations where dogs can still completely submerge themselves and cool off on hot days. In the winter, the water level rises and turns into rushing torrents after a few days of heavy rain. The entire acreage is pesticide-free, making it safe and ideal for dog owners who enjoy playing hide and seek with their pets. Rainy boots are recommended that one section of the lower field can get wet and muddy in the winter on rainy days, otherwise the majority of the fields, especially the upper fields, are completely dry. Our natural setting has different areas including 2 grassy fields perfect for fetch w/discs, ropes, or toys, (balls are not best here due to all of the surrounding bushes), areas great for running, a forested area with several nature trails for a hiking adventure where your dog(s) can run, explore, run & feel free, a large tree’d area that your pups can run under, and a healthy little creek that your pups can wade in, cool off, and drink from. Your dogs will have so many different sniffing and secure off-leash exploring opportunities here! Our spot is so much more than just a fenced field! The area is diverse and so much fun for your dog(s). There are a couple areas on the trails that are a little steep, there’s an area where you have to walk on logs 🪵, and the little creek has to be stepped over, so people with limited mobility may have issues in these areas of the spot. There are plenty of spaces and trails that are suitable for all abilities. If you’re looking for a basic fenced field to play chuck-it then this probably isn’t your spot. We are continually working on our property, so every time you visit it will have more open space, more trails, and less blackberry bushes. We provide a rain/sun shelter with foldable chairs and lots of supplies including dog toys & balls, poop bags, hand sanitizer, natural bug spray, wipes, hand towels, cornhole, 2 lounge chairs, 4 folding chairs. a kids size picnic table, and fresh drinking water for your pups. Our pup, Major, will be indoors (unless you request a play with him - he's a friendly golden retriever). It's a 10-acre property with several trails through rustic wooded areas and a large Field of Dreams (with an overlook) to enjoy. You (human) will get a pretty decent walk in along with your dog! Disappear into the woods with your doggo pack and explore the property. The main trail through the woods is a little over a quarter mile long, and there is plenty to sniff and explore along the trail. It is a hike with some slight inclines and declines, but nothing very strenuous. The woods are very quiet and serene, but they are also robust and eagerly await your adventures! We recommend starting on the main trail that begins behind the barn and then either exploring more trails on the way to the field, or just heading directly to the field for wide-open fun. The Field of Dreams fluctuates between being mowed and having areas of tall grass or moved sections. Deer visit our field regularly, so hopefully, your pack will find some interesting things to sniff. There is a sitting area on the field for you to rest while your pack runs like the wind, explores, fetches, or simply enjoys the day. There are lots of grasshoppers in the field that befuddle my dogs and end them leaping into the taller grass. We do not have any foxtails. There are several other small, interesting trails to explore and reconnect with nature. Just follow the map and signs. Make sure you snap a pic by the Guard Shack and read its history. Inside the shack are some interesting feathers to smell. All trails are marked. We have several dogs that have a fenced area by the house, however, we keep the dogs inside when we have Sniffspot visitors. Occasionally, you might hear them bark when visiting, but generally, they are tucked away and occupied when we have Sniffspot guests. When we have Sniffspot visitors, we try to keep a low profile, but on weekends, we are occasionally up by our house working on different projects. Even so, there is plenty of space for you to enjoy yourself and not be disturbed. We are respectful of your privacy. Located atop Dixie Mountain, the drive up is filled with snatches of lovely views of the surrounding mountains and Portland (weather dependent). The view is especially gorgeous if you mosey up from Highway 30. There certainly is a lot to do, see, and smell on Dixie Mountain! We hope you will come see us. ****************************************************************************************************** In August 2023, we were in southern Alabama visiting our son who is in the US Army. He had just found two abandoned puppies at a deserted boat ramp. After trying to find them homes for two weeks, our only options were to turn them into a kill shelter or bring them home to Oregon. So, after bringing home these two abandoned puppies from Alabama, where there is a definite crisis facing abandoned animals and a shortage of space at no-kill shelters, we felt a calling to help our no-kill shelters and rescue organizations here in Oregon. I feel strongly about supporting our local shelters and spreading the donations around. All profits from my Sniffspot are donated to local shelters, which rotate. It is Summer! The wading pool is free! Just please fill with hose and empty at the end of your reservation if the water Is dirty. The Bucket makes this about a 2-minute job. Our SS is a wide open space where your dog can run and play. Please DO NOT bring an unvaccinated dog to our SS. PLEASE keep an eye on your dog(s), not your phone! Unfortunately I have found missed messes, so please monitor your doggos. if you forget bags. we have extra in the "milk box" next to the porch steps, and feel free to use any toys you find in the SS! Absolutely no digging is allowed. Please do not allow your dog to dig holes. Dogs of all sizes are allowed! Private areas: the house including the porch, and wrap around garden. Water is provided via the hose/hydrant near the gate. (Located to the left of the gate as you enter!) Please the area east of the driveway and behind the house and have a good time exploring and playing! There are bunnies, cats and squirrels on the property so we ask that you please restrain your dog for the first 30 seconds or so when entering the property to give those animals a chance to react to the presence of a new animal. Allowing your dog to chase cats or wander up onto the house's porch are not allowed. Leave any hose running if found that way. Residents of the home may come and go during your reservation.
