Opportunity Woods Private Dog Park In Ridgeland

Fully Fenced
5 acres

Opportunity Woods offers 5+ acres of hilly woods and long grass meadow surrounded by a secure 6 foot fence. Several benches are placed along the rustic trails, but of course, there is no need to stay on a trail! A water bowl can be found and filled from the human-potable water hydrant, where you will also find a wading pool for dog and human use in summer. There is a roofed picnic/shade shelter just up the hill from the hydrant. Take in the serene view of the surrounding area, and get a birdseye view of Opportunity Farm, where sheep graze the nearby paddocks. Wire-wheel tables and chairs are available for relaxing, hanging out with your dog, having a picnic, a birthday party with your dog's pals or watching a dramatic rising or setting of a full moon. Have your dog invite their friends to join in the fun, or have a private play date just with you!

Maplewood Farm Dog Retreat | 5-Acre Nature Escape

Fully Fenced
5 acres

Welcome to Maplewood Farm Dog Retreat -- a peaceful 5-acre nature escape in south Maplewood near Battle Creek, just minutes from I-94 & McKnight. This is still undeveloped farmland, roughly the size of a city block, tucked into the suburbs, with rolling hills, mature trees, wooded trails, open field space, wildlife sightings and scents (ton of bunnies!), and a very different feel from a typical backyard spot. Dogs get room to run, sniff, explore, and decompress away from crowded dog parks, while hoomans can breathe, sit under the trees, or bring family for a simple picnic. Peaceful and private, but still only minutes from St. Paul. For history buffs, the property also has the only standing barn in Maplewood, built in 1896, still in its original form and in use, plus a couple apple trees that add to the old farm feel. QUICK 30-MIN VISITS are great for dogs who just need to burn energy fast, stretch their legs, or take a quick potty break. The main fenced play area is approx. 60 ft x 100 ft and great for off-leash play, fetch, zoomies, tug with the spring pole, and burning off energy. It’s easy to access near the street, and parking is right next to the gate, so it’s quick to get in, let your pup run, do their business, and head out. Many amenities inside the fenced area, including shaded seating and a hammock. For 30-min visits, please use the fenced play area only. Water play/running water is not included, and I usually won’t come out to greet you so you can make the most of your time. For the FULL MAPLEWOOD FARM EXPERIENCE, I recommend booking 1-2 hours. That gives you time to enjoy the fenced play area plus a slower long-leash walk around the block-long property, full of wildlife scents, wooded trails, scenic views, open field space, nooks and crannies, and peaceful places to take in nature. For longer visits, there is also a self-serve water-play area with a splash pad and overhead sprinkler/mister, plus a sprayer if you want to rinse or bathe your pup on the grass. For longer visits, a good route usually starts in the fenced area, then continues through the back gate into the wooded trail system. You can loop toward the house and barn (you may hear my dogs bark), continue through the mature forest trail, use the runner trolley system for semi-free roaming, then circle back toward the open field. Signs are posted to help guide you. This is a natural, dog-friendly space, not a suburban yard. Dogs are welcome to explore, climb on log and wood chip piles, chew or pull on tree branches, sniff around, dig in appropriate natural areas, and enjoy the property in whatever way feels safe and appropriate to you. I’m not precious about the landscape here, esp since the property may be developed next year. While it’s still here, I want our furry friends to have it and enjoy it. Foster dogs and dogs with physical or sensory challenges are welcome to visit for a steep discount. Since I live and work on-site, the spot is open pretty much anytime, from early morning to midnight, so you can book around your dog’s energy, the weather, or your own schedule. This spot is night-friendly -- the house is set farther back from the play area, so normal dog play is totally fine. I recently installed LED night lights so pups can still burn energy after sundown, and nighttime is much cooler for dogs on hot days. Bug spray/defogger available. Supervised campfire use available, private message me. Great for those who work odd hours, or anyone who wants a relaxed, super undistracted evening visit. As a dog lover and builder, I pay attention to how pups actually use the space and make small improvements as I go. Your feedback is im-paw-tant to me! 🐾 🐾 Valeng and paw friends 🐾 🐾

Wheaton Wild

Partially Fenced
15 acres

There are 15 acres of native prairie grasses and plants. There are a few trees and rolling hills. There is approximately 1.5 miles of mowed trails that loop and connect, creating several options for new routes for each visit. There is also an outhouse available if needed. However, it is within our normally private area, so dogs must be on leashes and there are hooks for leashes while in use.

10 Beautiful Acres with River 12 minutes from Hudson WI

Fully Fenced
18 acres

5/15/26 update: All paths are mowed, field entrance to drive in is now available (unless heavy rain, then their may be orange cones in the drive) In that case PARK only at the barn/field entrance and walk in. Traffic - To the spot the drive has no major road work slowing you down but LEAVING through Hudson can have long back ups. Please check your maps for delays or other routes. ***Also, it is tick season, do check your dog! This is a beautiful piece of land with a (mostly) fenced perimeter and 1/3 acre fully fenced doggy play area. If you drive in by the picnic table you are in the center of 18 acres to play on and will be quite a distance from the road. There are mowed walking paths to the beautiful Kinnickinnic river, far away from other people and animals. You and your dog will both love it here! The river is cold, clean and easy for dogs to hop in and out, also humans but a bit muddy at the easiest entrance. If you want to keep them out of the water there is about 10 acres of open field where you park, separate and above the river so you don't need to have them down by the water at all. (although most dogs gravitate to there!) Good idea to bring towels although some dogs dry off by the time they run back to the car! We love sharing the space, thank you for review pics!

Whether you need a space for your reactive dog, puppy socialization, senior dog gentle exercise, or high-energy play, Boyceville dog hiking trails provide safe, private environments. Filter for "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, or fencing types to find your perfect match.

How many dog hiking trails are in Boyceville?

Boyceville offers 13 dog hiking trails ranging from compact spaces to properties spanning acres. You'll find options such as dog field, fully fenced dog park, dog agility park, and more. Each Boyceville dog hiking trail listing shows detailed photos, amenities, fencing specs, and reviews from local dog owners.

Are Boyceville dog hiking trails good for all dog types?

The completely private bookings mean each dog gets the environment they need. Browse Boyceville's 13 options to find spaces matching your dog's specific temperament and needs.

Will I encounter other dogs at Boyceville dog hiking trails?

Not a chance. Boyceville dog hiking trails operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For Boyceville owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.

Are Boyceville dog hiking trails safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Yes! Boyceville dog hiking trails provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment without overwhelming encounters. Many Boyceville dog owners specifically choose dog hiking trails for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Absolutely! Boyceville dog hiking trails are excellent for puppy socialization because they're private and controlled. Puppies can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment, practice recall, and build confidence without the overwhelming chaos that can create fear or reactivity in young dogs. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

How do I choose the best dog hiking trail in Boyceville?

Start by filtering Boyceville's 13 dog hiking trails for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like Boyceville's 10 Beautiful Acres with River 12 minutes from Hudson WI with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Boyceville owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.

What are Boyceville's dog hiking trail requirements?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Boyceville host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog hiking trails welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
