Taylor's Swim and Dig Spot

All photos taken on 8/15/23 and are completely accurate of what the yard looks like at this moment! If you’re just looking for the pool area, it is gated from the rest of the yard. 5000 Square Foot yard with dirt, pool, and private entrance! We have some toys, a cooling mat, a hose, and some other amenities for your doggo to enjoy. We do not have a lot of grass at the moment as most of it has dried from summer, but we still have a large yard for your doggo to run around in and enjoy the pool! This spot is perfect for a dog that loves to dig or swim. We also have a small obstacle course available for your dog to play. If you need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to message us! You may find sticks, bricks, wood, grass, etc. The main feature of our yard is the pool and the ability to have your dog dig to their hearts content and not have to worry about stopping them! Price allows for 2 guests per dog. Humans are allowed in the pool with their dog as long as you do not exceed specified amount of guests. Please book extra guests in extras section. Hose- Sometimes the spout for the hose is attached to the pool filler, if this is the case and you want to use the hose, feel free to detach the black hose and screw in the green hose that you should see nearby. Umbrella- Please put the umbrella down after use **We totally understand that dogs are messy and shed in the pool, but please try to brush them out to the best of your ability before visiting to minimize shedding so we can keep it nice for other guests! Thank you!

Or perhaps you just want to “paws” and relax in the shade. If so, then Shaggy’s Shack Sniffspot is for you....and your awesome human, too! Shaggy’s Shack in Tempe has lots of grass for running, chasing balls, and doing the zoomies! It’s fully enclosed with a 5 to 6-foot block wall and more than 25 trees and bushes to explore. You can play fetch with tons of toys and there’s a designated digging spot, too. Or maybe you just want to cool off in a diving pool that’s professionally cleaned every Wednesday–even during Tempe’s cold months. Oh, and Shaggy’s Shack also has features shaded chairs for your human to relax as they watch you explore, play fetch, swim, and have a pawsitively good time. Shaggy’s Shack’s residents (and their humans) will be home but out of sight. The entire lot is just shy of a half-acre, and it’s conveniently located in Tempe. Many dogs live in the area, they may bark in greeting when they hear you. We offer many pawsome amenities at Shaggy’s Shack, including bags and a trash can for your nature calls and a disposable water dish with lots of fresh water (and water for your human, too). Clean towels for drying off after you’ve doggie-paddled in the pool are also provided. Of course, use of the pool is at your and your human’s own risk. The pool is chlorinated and not heated in the winter months. Your human may use the pool to get a closer look at your pawsome doggie paddling technique. While we provide towels for you, we ask that your human brings their own towels. There is no fence or gate around the pool, and we strongly encourage you to bring your own doggie life vest if you do decide to get your paws wet. Discounts are available for multiple dogs. Visit times can be extended if there is availability. Respecting Sniffspot’s 30-minute transition time between visit times is very important. So that no one gets hurt or gets into something that could be dangerous, glass, alcohol and smoking are prohibited. All pups need to be up-to-date on all vaccinations to keep our resident and visiting doggos healthy. Since Shaggy’s Shack Sniffspot is for dogs, please be mindful of your doggie to human ratio; kids are welcome but must be 100% supervised, especially around the ungated, unfenced pool. Our goal is to make your time at Shaggy’s Shack loads of fun for you and your human so you’ll come back again and again. We’re sure you’ll have a pawesome time!

FAQ about our Chandler dog parks

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 122 fully fenced dog parks in the area.
