💕🐶to help with the rising cost of gas, sniff pass discount is turned on AND Pay for an hour, get an hour for free. This is guaranteed if calendar shows availability. You will get 30 minutes before your reservation and 30 minutes following your reservation 🐶💕 Want to visit regularly? Pay for one dog and bring them all #bringallpups💕🐾 Let you and your pups be free!! Visit our 220 acres which 218 acres is reserved for a Sniffspot leash free day! Enjoy the natural nature setting in the Big Brush Creek Cove. Think of it as renting out a state park for the day! Enjoy the sound of water the moment you park at the back boundary field or blue barrel curve and walk remainder of way in. The entire creek flows roughly October / November till first of July. 2026 has been rainy so we’ve only had a few day in July the lower end of creek was dry, so rare. Rain fills this creek fast so it may be dry in early July, August, September and early October but be full the next morning after a rain (use my address on weather channel app or inquire with me before your visit ) Walk along the driveway to view the creek and gorge the whole way in or enjoy mountain trails on the right side of the driveway. Marathon runners love training here! Heal with a Cold plunge in the creek vs going to a cryo therapy facility. ******please note: I only own the the center of the creek. Other land owners across from creek own to the center of the creek as well.****** if you see other land owners swimming at the back boundary, please choose another area to swim in till they leave*******. The mountain side and driveway itself it’s a safe place where you will not see other people and should only see wildlife. Make sure the pups get to swim and splash in the clean flowing creek. Take a break so you and your pup(s) can enjoy pure relaxation. *Inquire about camping overnight if you love it too much to leave. We hope you and your pup(s) will love it as much as we and our pups do. *Please note when you make a reservation it will be booked on central time zone. *Rules are simple which is to leave the land the way you find it. 🐶💕 * if you need to leave bags of waste on side of driveway (I completely understand lol) please let me know where you’ve left it. please note: Dogs get to be dogs in nature here so bagging isn’t necessary 💕. Bagged waste is also welcome in the provided garbage can. 🐶💕 *an upside down horse trough is provided for an extra seat and or table next to the fire pit which has wood stacked and ready for use. *The water can rise during floods coming into the back boundary field so accommodations have been adding a metal table and 4 metal chairs that shouldn’t wash away like the first one did 🙂 *please always check back for updates as the property continues to improve for pups and their parents 🐶💕 * ALWAYS close the gate behind you unless your told otherwise please 🐶💕

Frequently asked questions about Charleston dog hiking trails

Where can I find dog hiking trails in Charleston?

Charleston has 6 private dog hiking trails available through Sniffspot, offering natural exploration and varied terrain in completely private settings. These locations range from compact spaces to properties spanning 218+ acres. Whether you need a space for your reactive dog, puppy socialization, senior dog gentle exercise, or high-energy play, Charleston dog hiking trails provide safe, private environments. Filter for "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, or fencing types to find your perfect match.

How many dog hiking trails are in Charleston?

Charleston offers 6 dog hiking trails ranging from compact spaces to properties spanning acres. You'll find options such as dog field, fully fenced dog park, dog agility park, and more. Each Charleston dog hiking trail listing shows detailed photos, amenities, fencing specs, and reviews from local dog owners.

Are Charleston dog hiking trails good for all dog types?

Yes! Charleston dog hiking trails work for every dog: puppies learning socialization, senior dogs needing gentle exercise, small dogs who feel safer without large breeds, high-energy dogs requiring space, and reactive or anxious dogs needing privacy. The completely private bookings mean each dog gets the environment they need. Browse Charleston's 6 options to find spaces matching your dog's specific temperament and needs.

Will I encounter other dogs at Charleston dog hiking trails?

Not a chance. Charleston dog hiking trails operate on a strict one-booking-at-a-time system, so the space is entirely yours during your reserved slot. Host dogs are kept away, and there's a mandatory 30-minute buffer between bookings—meaning you won't cross paths with the previous or next guest. For Charleston owners with reactive dogs, puppies, or any dog needing privacy, this makes all the difference in providing safe, stress-free exercise.

Are Charleston dog hiking trails safe for fearful or anxious dogs?

Yes! Charleston dog hiking trails provide controlled, predictable environments without the chaos of public dog parks. Since bookings are completely private with 30-minute buffers, anxious dogs can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment without overwhelming encounters. Many Charleston dog owners specifically choose dog hiking trails for fearful dogs who need gentle, stress-free exercise environments.

Can puppies use Charleston dog hiking trails?

Absolutely! Charleston dog hiking trails are excellent for puppy socialization because they're private and controlled. Puppies can explore a natural outdoor path where dogs can explore varied terrain off-leash in a safe, private environment, practice recall, and build confidence without the overwhelming chaos that can create fear or reactivity in young dogs. Just ensure your puppy has age-appropriate vaccinations before visiting.

How do I choose the best dog hiking trail in Charleston?

Start by filtering Charleston's 6 dog hiking trails for your specific needs: secure fencing for escape artists, "fewer dogs seen/heard" for reactive dogs, flat terrain for seniors, appropriate sizing for small dogs, or specific amenities for training. Look for "Top Spots" like Charleston's Danielle's 218 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Dunlap with excellent reviews.Read feedback from other Charleston owners with similar dog types to find your perfect match.

What are Charleston's dog hiking trail requirements?

All dogs must have basic vaccinations or titers. Each Charleston host may have additional rules on their listing. Most dog hiking trails welcome all breeds, sizes, and temperament levels, including reactive dogs who can't safely visit public dog parks. Adult supervision is required at all times.
