55First time here and I was impressed! Well maintained, friendly staff at the boarding center, and lots of space. We had a great time roaming around and throwing ball, even in the rain. Will definitely be back!Haley W.

55The dogs thoroughly enjoyed themselves! This is such a great place as there aren't many places with this much space fenced off for dogs to enjoy. It is part of and behind the main boarding kennel area, but it was pretty quiet while we were there. Since the last time we visited wonderful fencing improvements with a solid fence partitioning this area from the main kennel area. You can see the active improvements which will continue to make this an even more enjoyable space. Bini S.

55I was road tripping from Boston to Ohio and this was a perfect pit stop for the dogs. Wow I have never seen a sniffspot quite like this one. It is a dog boarding facility that has converted an old golf course into private dog play areas. The staff I interacted with were super friendly and helpful. When I showed up, they had someone else in the area I booked but they had another comparable area for me to use. It was 12 acres, well mowed, with a pond and fully fenced. Note: for those with reactive dogs, I did need to pass through an area where there was visibility to other dogs through a fence to enter the space. If I lived in the area, I would definitely come back!David A.

55We absolutely loved going to Lucky Dogs 20 acre park. The area was well maintained and beautiful This is a great area to take a dog that is reactive. We had privacy and at no time did she see another dog. You could hear other dogs which was a good opportunity for her to do some of her training. This is a great area to let your dog let out pent up energies, to exercise and to do training. We will definitely be going back. Reva W.

55Incredible spot!! So much room to explore. This site is also called the Bark Park and is connected to a dog boarding facility. There was a sign indicating we should check in at the boarding office before entering; the staff person there confirmed the park was open for us to use. The fence between the boarding area and the bark park is solid/ provides a visual barrier so that we couldn’t see the boarded dogs, but the sound of barking was audible across the site.Seren V.

55I can’t say enough about this property. To have 20 acres totally fenced in is so great! The owner, Joe, showed me the east part of the property and was very friendly. There are 2 smaller ponds in the beginning of the walk- those were pretty stinky, so of course my golden immediately swam in them. Further back is a cleaner pond that helped clean her off :) Both of my dogs absolutely loved running free over this much space. So many thing to explore and sniff. I would say that the ground closer to the fence is pretty uneven so wear good footwear or stick to the path that is worn down by the 4-wheeler.
There’s a hose you can use to clean off the dogs too so that is very helpful!!
I almost hate to give this spot away but I know other dogs and owners would love it!! Colleen K.

55We loved Luckys! I have a small pup who loves to run and chase birds ... and that's exactly what he did the entire time. Plenty of space and trails and water and open field. Check in/out was very easy, just tell the staff inside. They were also kind enough to let me use the restroom, big plus! Fencing was very secure...I know because my terrier tried to find a weak spot in a few areas lol. Will definitely return, thank you! Kathryn Z.

55It is a beautiful place, large and clean. I wish there were more places like that, so that dogs that have nowhere to go because of their behavior problems can have a good time, at least once in a while. Irina N.

Frequently asked questions about Erie dog water parks
What do private dog water parks in Erie offer that public parks don't?
Private dog water parks in Erie offer complete privacy (no other dogs), specialized environments for swimming and water play, professionally maintained cleanliness, flexible 24/7 scheduling, and safe spaces for all temperaments—puppies, seniors, small dogs, reactive dogs, or any pup needing accommodations. Public dog parks in Erie can't guarantee any of this. With 27 options, you get predictable, controlled environments perfect for your dog's specific needs.
Can I find fully fenced private dog parks in Erie?
Yes! Most of Erie's 27 private dog parks are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, reactive dogs needing contained space, or small dogs who might squeeze through. Erie listings include fencing photos so you can verify security.
When can puppies start visiting dog water parks in Erie?
Puppies can visit Erie dog water parks as early as 8-10 weeks with initial vaccinations, much earlier than the 16+ weeks needed for public park safety. This early, controlled socialization prevents fear and reactivity issues later. Plus, puppies can explore swimming and water play without being overwhelmed or learning bad behaviors from poorly socialized adult dogs. Many Erie trainers specifically use dog water parks for puppy development.
How do I find private dog water parks near me in Erie?
Browse Erie's 27 dog water parks on Sniffspot by entering your neighborhood or zip code. Filter by distance, then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, terrain type, or size. Each Erie listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Local favorite Lucky Dog's 20 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Erie is particularly popular among Erie dog owners.
Can I rent dog water parks in Erie by the hour?
Yes! All 27 dog water parks in Erie are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer for training or events. Book instantly through Sniffspot, arrive during your time slot, and have complete privacy. Many Erie dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise.
What's the difference between Sniffspot dog water parks and public dog parks in Erie?
The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Erie mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. That means you can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 27 Erie dog water parks give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, your pup enjoys swimming and water play and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.
Are there indoor dog water parks in Erie?
Yes! Erie has climate-controlled indoor dog water parks perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Erie locations typically feature protective flooring, controlled temperatures, and enclosed environments. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs, reactive dogs, or anyone wanting consistent access regardless of Erie weather. Filter by "indoor" to see options.
How do Erie dog water parks help with dog training?
Erie trainers love dog water parks because privacy eliminates distractions. Work on recall, practice water confidence building, dock diving practice, or swimming-based fitness training, reinforce obedience, socialize puppies, or address reactivity without interruptions. For reactive dogs, train without trigger-stacking. For puppies, practice skills in controlled increments. For any dog, get focused training time in an environment specifically designed for swimming and water play.
