Hummingbird Trails - 15 Acres of private trails in Conifer, CO

Unfenced
15 acres

Visit our enchanted forest in the mountains! Update March 2026 - Trails are open! If there is snow, you’ll need a 4x4 vehicle for the roads and driveway. We have 15 acres of trails (2 miles of different trail loops) running through our property, including a narrow seasonal stream that runs in the spring. We use the trails for dog walking, hiking, and mountain biking. May-September we have tons of hummingbirds zipping through the property. The trails are considered intermediate: easy in parts, and intermediate in parts, with uneven Colorado rocky terrain. The trails wind up and down the side of a mountain and empty into the forest and the meadows. There are inclines and declines. This property is not for everyone - it’s very natural. The trails are in great condition and it beautiful, but there is a wild element to it similar to any park in the area. WINTER: We try to keep the trails available in the winter for snowy hikes - you'll need a 4x4 vehicle for roads and driveway. The sun can warm the snowy trails up quickly so we suggest bringing a towel for snowy days. The meadow has a couple of icy spots where the snow doesn’t melt as quickly, but you can easily walk around these areas on the trail. Free amenities available for guest use: - WiFi - Walking/hiking poles - Air horn for guest safety - Dog waste bags and trash can - Fenced in area near parking spot - Picnic table and benches in doggy play areas. - Rock outcroppings great for climbing and photo opportunities - Seasonal stream at the bottom of the mountain trails, with natural springs flowing out of the mountain all year round. Message any time with questions!

Country Run's 58 Acre Private Ranch In Conifer

Partially Fenced
58 acres

Country Run's Private Ranch is 58 acres located just shy of one mile off of Highway 285 off of Pleasant Park Road. An amazing location - a hidden gem. As you walk from the parking area along the path, the property opens up into a beautiful aspen forest with wooden benches and a large meadow. Half way down the meadow on the left (west) side is a small riparian area with Alder trees - the beginning of several spring fed creeks. The hillside on the east side of the property offers rock outcroppings, large rock benches and 360 views. Our dogs thoroughly enjoy their time here and we hope your dog does, too! Depending on the time of year, the spring fed area can be muddy, an old towel is recommended for the drive home. This property is perfect for dog walks, picnics and celebrations. Please feel free to text with any questions. Thank you!

The Oregon Trail (Dog trail by Sedalia, CO)

Unfenced
30 acres

Private Mountain Forest Dog Adventure – Creek, Trails & Total PrivacyLet your dog explore 30 acres of private Colorado mountain forest with fresh air, tall pines, and peaceful trails. A groomed trail leads about ½ mile through Douglas fir and Ponderosa pine down to a quiet open creek area where dogs can run, explore, and cool off in the water.  -Can be muddy pending season (bring towel in case) The forest canopy keeps much of the trail shaded, and the creek area is often cooler on warm summer days, making it a great escape from the heat. This spot is perfect for dogs that love space, freedom, and the smells of the forest. Many guests come back regularly because their dogs can relax, roam, and explore without crowds. Wildlife are sometimes seen in the area, which adds to the peaceful mountain experience. Property Details • Approximately 30 acres of private forested land • Groomed walking trail leading to creek area • Shaded mountain terrain with beautiful views • Year-round creek access for dogs to drink or splashGood to Know • This is a natural mountain property with uneven terrain, some areas are steep. • The property is unfenced • The county road forms the upper boundary and the creek forms the lower boundary • No smoking or open flames anywhere on the property due to wildfire risk • Please supervise dogs around the creek • Guests must have a completed Sniffspot profile with dog photos Winter time the small splash pond is drained during winter for safety, but the creek flows year-round.

4th Mesa 7 acre Private Dog Park In Bailey

Fully Fenced
7 acres

10% of profits donated to local SPCA monthly. 7 acres of fenced forest to play on including a hiking trail for the pet owners! There is a switch back trail through the middle of the property marked by tree branches/logs and pink/green flags. Further trail description below the instructions. Best way to find the trail from the gate is to either follow the fence line up to the right all the way to the top of the property or walk straight up the gulley until you see the first green flag. The green flags mark the beginning and end of each switchback. There are 29 rows of switchbacks. Between the green flags there are pink flags to guide you with branches and logs to mark the left and right of each trail. There are a few places where the trail merges which is marked by 2 yellow flags. The last (or first depending on the ascent or descent chosen) trail row has yellow flags that have been colored pink (see pictures at the very end of the collage). It is about a 4 mile round trip hike if you follow the switch backs up then down (or vice versa). For you hiking purists the switchback rows are not perfectly parallel. This was a 3 year manual effort. The more ya’ll hike it the more visible it will be.

Frequently asked questions about Evergreen Meadows dog hiking trails

What do private dog hiking trails in Evergreen Meadows offer that public parks don't?

Private dog hiking trails in Evergreen Meadows offer complete privacy (no other dogs), specialized environments for natural exploration and varied terrain, professionally maintained cleanliness, flexible 24/7 scheduling, and safe spaces for all temperaments—puppies, seniors, small dogs, reactive dogs, or any pup needing accommodations. Public dog parks in Evergreen Meadows can't guarantee any of this. With 10 options, you get predictable, controlled environments perfect for your dog's specific needs.

Can I find fully fenced private dog parks in Evergreen Meadows?

Yes! Most of Evergreen Meadows's 10 private dog parks are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, reactive dogs needing contained space, or small dogs who might squeeze through. Evergreen Meadows listings include fencing photos so you can verify security.

When can puppies start visiting dog hiking trails in Evergreen Meadows?

Puppies can visit Evergreen Meadows dog hiking trails as early as 8-10 weeks with initial vaccinations, much earlier than the 16+ weeks needed for public park safety. This early, controlled socialization prevents fear and reactivity issues later. Plus, puppies can explore natural exploration and varied terrain without being overwhelmed or learning bad behaviors from poorly socialized adult dogs. Many Evergreen Meadows trainers specifically use dog hiking trails for puppy development.

How do I find private dog hiking trails near me in Evergreen Meadows?

Browse Evergreen Meadows's 10 dog hiking trails on Sniffspot by entering your neighborhood or zip code. Filter by distance, then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, terrain type, or size. Each Evergreen Meadows listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Local favorite Country Run's 58 Acre Private Ranch In Conifer is particularly popular among Evergreen Meadows dog owners.

Can I rent dog hiking trails in Evergreen Meadows by the hour?

Yes! All 10 dog hiking trails in Evergreen Meadows are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer for training or events. Book instantly through Sniffspot, arrive during your time slot, and have complete privacy. Many Evergreen Meadows dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise.

What's the difference between Sniffspot dog hiking trails and public dog parks in Evergreen Meadows?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Evergreen Meadows mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. That means you can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 10 Evergreen Meadows dog hiking trails give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, your pup enjoys natural exploration and varied terrain and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Are there indoor dog hiking trails in Evergreen Meadows?

Yes! Evergreen Meadows has climate-controlled indoor dog hiking trails perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Evergreen Meadows locations typically feature protective flooring, controlled temperatures, and enclosed environments. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs, reactive dogs, or anyone wanting consistent access regardless of Evergreen Meadows weather. Filter by "indoor" to see options.

How do Evergreen Meadows dog hiking trails help with dog training?

Evergreen Meadows trainers love dog hiking trails because privacy eliminates distractions. Work on recall, practice trail recall in natural environments, leash manners on varied terrain, or hiking endurance building, reinforce obedience, socialize puppies, or address reactivity without interruptions. For reactive dogs, train without trigger-stacking. For puppies, practice skills in controlled increments. For any dog, get focused training time in an environment specifically designed for natural exploration and varied terrain.
