Charlie's Hideaway fully fenced 9 acres in Black Forest

Fully Fenced
9 acres

We will be temporarily closed for the month of August for repairs and maintenance - September reservations can be made starting 8/1. See you in September! Welcome to Charlie’s Hideaway - your dog's new favorite adventure spot! 🐾🐾 This 9-acre, fully fenced native pasture (with 4’ wire square fencing) is made for sniffing, zoomies and exploring. Rolling hills, patches of short and tall grass & a sandy area give your pup plenty of variety to roam and investigate. This private space is also a great fit for reactive dogs or those who need a calm, low-traffic environment. Street parking is available near the entrance and a two-gate entry system provides an added layer of security - allowing you to enter at your own pace and help your dog transition calmly into the space. As you come through the gate, you'll find a covered canopy and welcome station with fresh water, clean bowls, poop bags, toys and towels - everything you need for a comfortable visit. Chairs are available so you can sit back, relax and soak in those gorgeous Pike Peak views while your dog does their thing. Wildlife sightings are part of the charm - you may see hawks overhead, rabbits in the grass and occasionally deer passing by. Two resident barn cats also live on the property, but they're very shy and rarely seen. Please help keep Charlie's Hideaway clean and enjoyable for everyone by picking up after your dog (poop bags are provided and a trash can is located at the gate). Please review the Sniffspot visitor guidelines before your visit and then come ready to enjoy a peaceful, private outing with your pup!

Frequently asked questions about Florence dog fields

What do private dog fields in Florence offer that public parks don't?

Private dog fields in Florence offer complete privacy (no other dogs), specialized environments for full-speed running and fetch, professionally maintained cleanliness, flexible 24/7 scheduling, and safe spaces for all temperaments—puppies, seniors, small dogs, reactive dogs, or any pup needing accommodations. Public dog parks in Florence can't guarantee any of this. With 17 options, you get predictable, controlled environments perfect for your dog's specific needs.

Can I find fully fenced private dog parks in Florence?

Yes! Most of Florence's 17 private dog parks are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, reactive dogs needing contained space, or small dogs who might squeeze through. Florence listings include fencing photos so you can verify security.

When can puppies start visiting dog fields in Florence?

Puppies can visit Florence dog fields as early as 8-10 weeks with initial vaccinations, much earlier than the 16+ weeks needed for public park safety. This early, controlled socialization prevents fear and reactivity issues later. Plus, puppies can explore full-speed running and fetch without being overwhelmed or learning bad behaviors from poorly socialized adult dogs. Many Florence trainers specifically use dog fields for puppy development.

How do I find private dog fields near me in Florence?

Browse Florence's 17 dog fields on Sniffspot by entering your neighborhood or zip code. Filter by distance, then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, terrain type, or size. Each Florence listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Local favorite Charlie's Hideaway fully fenced 9 acres in Black Forest is particularly popular among Florence dog owners.

Can I rent dog fields in Florence by the hour?

Yes! All 17 dog fields in Florence are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer for training or events. Book instantly through Sniffspot, arrive during your time slot, and have complete privacy. Many Florence dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise.

What's the difference between Sniffspot dog fields and public dog parks in Florence?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Florence mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. That means you can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 17 Florence dog fields give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, your pup enjoys full-speed running and fetch and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Are there indoor dog fields in Florence?

Yes! Florence has climate-controlled indoor dog fields perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Florence locations typically feature protective flooring, controlled temperatures, and enclosed environments. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs, reactive dogs, or anyone wanting consistent access regardless of Florence weather. Filter by "indoor" to see options.

How do Florence dog fields help with dog training?

Florence trainers love dog fields because privacy eliminates distractions. Work on recall, practice long-distance recall across open space, running drills, or field sports like fetch and frisbee, reinforce obedience, socialize puppies, or address reactivity without interruptions. For reactive dogs, train without trigger-stacking. For puppies, practice skills in controlled increments. For any dog, get focused training time in an environment specifically designed for full-speed running and fetch.
