You are welcome to pet the horses but do not feed. Please do not allow your dogs to growl or charge the horses (even though they are behind fences). All the horses are calm and easy around dogs, which we need it to stay that way. **Summer note-dog pool water will be changed once a day for 2026 due to water restrictions and costs. This is so we do not need to increase the sniffspot fee** We have a fully fenced area roughly 10 acres with mowed paths for walking. You are welcome to walk thru the field if desired. Occasionally, the horses have access to the field during non sniffspot hours so there will be delicious horse poop, some dogs will eat it and others not. Most dogs process horse poop very well and many vets will tell you it’s good for their gut. There are random balls and toys in the field for use, water is available and if we are home during your visit should the restroom be needed we will honor use of that. Most days there is a bin with free dog food and/or treat samples. You are welcome to bring agility or equipment and toys each visit if desired or practice nosework. We are also open to hosting groups, such as agility, nosework or trainers who need a large outdoor space that is fully fenced. Off street parking and can accommodate large vehicles. Small dogs are welcome, do note the fencing is graduated so depending on size of dog, some real tiny ones who are escape artists may not be the best fit. Located in Windsor, Colorado, the fully-fenced Windsor Lake Trail & Dog Park allows dogs to run freely off-leash. Handlers must be 16 years or older, with no more than 3 dogs per person. Dogs must be vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and under voice control at all times. Puppies must be at least 6 months old, and children under 8 are not allowed in the off-leash area. Owners are responsible for their dogs' behavior and must clean up after them. Water is not provided, so owners should bring their own. We know of a trainer who may be offering classes for Agility, Obedience & Behavior Modification at our location. If interested please contact us and provide your information, the trainer will setup a class time when we have sufficient interest to fill a class of 3-6 people at our location.

Also, the neighbor has a dog that infrequently, though on random occasion has access to this shared fence line. Please consider this if your dog is very highly reactive.
