Charlie's Hideaway fully fenced 9 acres in Black Forest

Fully Fenced
9 acres

We will be temporarily closed for the month of August for repairs and maintenance - September reservations can be made starting 8/1. See you in September! Welcome to Charlie’s Hideaway - your dog's new favorite adventure spot! 🐾🐾 This 9-acre, fully fenced native pasture (with 4’ wire square fencing) is made for sniffing, zoomies and exploring. Rolling hills, patches of short and tall grass & a sandy area give your pup plenty of variety to roam and investigate. This private space is also a great fit for reactive dogs or those who need a calm, low-traffic environment. Street parking is available near the entrance and a two-gate entry system provides an added layer of security - allowing you to enter at your own pace and help your dog transition calmly into the space. As you come through the gate, you'll find a covered canopy and welcome station with fresh water, clean bowls, poop bags, toys and towels - everything you need for a comfortable visit. Chairs are available so you can sit back, relax and soak in those gorgeous Pike Peak views while your dog does their thing. Wildlife sightings are part of the charm - you may see hawks overhead, rabbits in the grass and occasionally deer passing by. Two resident barn cats also live on the property, but they're very shy and rarely seen. Please help keep Charlie's Hideaway clean and enjoyable for everyone by picking up after your dog (poop bags are provided and a trash can is located at the gate). Please review the Sniffspot visitor guidelines before your visit and then come ready to enjoy a peaceful, private outing with your pup!

How clean are private dog hiking trails in Florence compared to public parks?

Significantly cleaner. Public dog parks in Florence see dozens of dogs daily with sporadic city maintenance. Private dog hiking trails have dedicated hosts who maintain their own spaces—cleanliness directly affects their reviews and bookings. Many Florence hosts provide fresh poop bags, sanitized water stations, and regular grounds cleaning. With only one booking at a time, waste accumulation is minimal.

Can I book Florence dog hiking trails on short notice?

Usually yes! Many Florence dog hiking trails offer same-day or next-day availability with instant booking. Unlike public parks that might be crowded unpredictably, Florence private dog hiking trails let you reserve exactly when needed: early morning before work, midday breaks, evening exercise. Real-time availability shows on each listing—perfect for last-minute training or when routines get disrupted.

What's the best time to visit dog hiking trails in Florence?

Any time works since bookings are private! Unlike public dog parks in Florence that are crowded during peak hours (mornings, evenings, weekends), you don't worry about timing. Book when it fits YOUR schedule—midday when it's quiet, dawn for cool weather, late evening for convenience. Many Florence dog hiking trails have lighting for after-dark visits. This flexibility is perfect for shift workers or dogs with special needs.

Do Florence dog hiking trails allow multiple dogs?

Yes! Most Florence dog hiking trails welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings), but generally you can bring your whole pack. This is perfect for multi-dog households in Florence where some dogs are selective—they can play together privately without outside interference. Great for sibling bonding or families with mixed ages/temperaments.

Can I use Florence dog hiking trails for special events?

Many Florence dog hiking trails welcome doggy birthday parties, training workshops, breed meetups, or group playdates. Private bookings mean your event won't be interrupted. Coordinate with Florence hosts about capacity, amenities (parking, shade, water), and any restrictions. Some even provide party extras. Check individual Florence dog hiking trail listings for event policies.

How do Florence dog hiking trails accommodate dogs with special needs?

Florence dog hiking trails are excellent for special needs dogs because you can filter for specific requirements: flat terrain for mobility issues, secure fencing for blind/deaf dogs, quiet locations for anxious dogs, small spaces for seniors, or maximum privacy for reactive dogs. Read reviews from other Florence special-needs dog owners, and contact hosts with questions. The private setting means you can adapt the experience to your dog's unique requirements.
