Or perhaps you just want to “paws” and relax in the shade. If so, then Shaggy’s Shack Sniffspot is for you....and your awesome human, too! Shaggy’s Shack in Tempe has lots of grass for running, chasing balls, and doing the zoomies! It’s fully enclosed with a 5 to 6-foot block wall and more than 25 trees and bushes to explore. You can play fetch with tons of toys and there’s a designated digging spot, too. Or maybe you just want to cool off in a diving pool that’s professionally cleaned every Wednesday–even during Tempe’s cold months. The pool is chlorinated and not heated in the winter months. Your human may use the pool to get a closer look at your pawsome doggie paddling technique. While we provide towels for you, we ask that your human brings their own towels. There is no fence or gate around the pool, and we strongly encourage you to bring your own doggie life vest if you do decide to get your paws wet. Discounts are available for multiple dogs. June 9th: We’ve had an outbreak of slime mold in the backyard. It’s not harmful or toxic to dogs but if you see little white puffs in the grass that’s what they are. If kicked open they look like diarrhea from dogs. Again, not harmful just wanted to let you know. As it heats up they will disappear. Not your perfect yard, digging and construction going on, equipment may or may not be out. If you’re looking for the perfect yard for you this IS NOT the place for you. If you’re looking for a place for your dog then we MIGHT have the backyard for them. Ok, now that we have that out of the way if you still feel froggy in visiting our backyard you are more than welcome. BUT please keep in mind we are still doing renovations and making our backyard more presentable not only for us but for you, our guests. If you can’t stand the unsightly look of dirt and rock with wood stacked away, tractors parked on the side, open sheds and maybe coming across some dog poop then this place really may not be for you. We do try our best to clean up but hey, sometimes we miss. I feel like this has to be said. IF YOU’RE NOT READING THIS DESCRIPTION AND ARE STILL UPSET WHEN YOU SHOW UP THEN THIS IS NOT THE YARD FOR YOU. We are happy to share our space with you but we are still working on making it look better. The Description: 1 acre lot with large yard and pool for swimming. Light Construction is still going on but I’m mostly done and will be inside. Come visit and please don’t expect a perfect looking yard. Also please DO NOT PARK IN THE DRIVEWAY. There is plenty of space to park alongside our front yard. **Important: if your dog does go swimming and you decide to take the pool hose out PLEASE RETURN IT BEFORE YOU LEAVE. If you don’t it will burn up the pool pump. Please try and keep them from biting the hose. **Small dogs like chihuahuas may be able to escape through the fence. Please look at pictures in the listing. **We do have chickens but they are in a large cage with pallets blocking the view of them. Please message us if they are too much of distraction for you doggo. **We are currently working on installing new grass by the pool so it’ll be a mess for a bit.

Ross and Phyl's Private Dog Park In Scottsdale

Large and fully fenced area that comfortably accommodates our greyhound’s needs, as well as our chihuahua’s needs. There is a large grassy area and also a tennis court area that works great for smoothing out dog’s nails. There are areas covered in small rocks, too. Since there are various terrains and it does get hot in the desert, we have dog boots (that are very breathable) and available to borrow, as well as dog visors. We have small, medium, and large boots to protect the paws. Also, personal sunscreen packets are provided for our guest owners. There are many seating arrangements, tables available, sun umbrellas, a water feature, and many areas with natural shade provided. There is one area in particular that makes one think that they are not in the desert, but rather in another part of Arizona that provides shade from pine trees. There are three enclosures that are visible and house two pygmy goats (joey and chandler) and a chicken coop with one chicken. You might see a rabbit or squirrel on occasion. Sometimes, the tortoise will emerge from his enclosure to greet you. There are fruit trees on the premises if you’d like to take a lemon when in season. There is also a hose to use if needed. (You will want to run the water for a bit since the hose gets very heated in the summer months). Parking is conveniently located near the gated entry. There are poop bags available if your dog relieves itself during your visit. We are sure our property will provide a peaceful retreat to enjoy with your canine friend.

We bought this yard specifically for our reactive dog (Sollie). He absolutely loved it and really flourished here. He’s passed away now, so we want to share our yard with more doggies! Do agility, jump in the pool, dig some holes, and just generally create chaos. If you know for sure that you won't use the pool, send me a message. I might be open-minded to a discount. 😊 Agility equipment is the portable type, so it’s just 2 jumps and weave poles. Feel free to move it around. We don’t have seesaw or table obstacles. The tunnel finally gave up in 2025. It tried so hard, but the sun ☀️ was too much. RIP blue tunnel. There are 3 main sections to the yard, plus patio. A couple photos include Sollie, who was about 90 pounds, so you can see the scale of the yard. We have lots of amenities included to make your visit stress-free, plus a few items for purchase as Extras. Hope to "see" you soon! (You won't see us at all. :) ) FENCING: The interior divider fence was destroyed when a tree fell in a storm. We're still dealing with insurance. Those old fence panels are now being used to block off an Oleander bush while we remove it. Oleander is very common in Arizona, but it's toxic so we've chosen to remove it. Very small dogs may be able to fit through this interior fence. The main fence is still secure, and small dog approved! VACCINATIONS: Please double check that your doggie is up to date! 🐶💕 The parvovirus vaccine in particular is super important. The virus can survive in the soil for a year, which would not be fun!
