The Bark Park at Sycamore Park is located at 790 Long Pond Rd, Mahopac, New York. It is a fully fenced enclosure with rules that must be followed for the safety and enjoyment of all visitors. The park is open from 8 a.m. to sunset and prohibits puppies under 4 months old, female dogs in heat, and unaltered males over 8 months. Dogs must be licensed, vaccinated, and leashed when entering/exiting the park. Only minimal barking is allowed, and aggressive dogs are prohibited. Owners are responsible for their dogs' behavior and must clean up after them. Amenities include a small dog area, agility equipment, chairs, dog drinking water, and tables. The ground is cleared in the wooded areas for fun running and walks. Large blue stone shaded patio that backs up to woods. The large in ground pool is uncovered and ready to swim for an additional charge (see below”Extras”). The fencing between the yard and pool is not 100% secure, just keep an eye on your pups. All people and pets will be inside during your visit for privacy. There are poop bags, a bowl of water and a basket of toys for you and your pup if you wish. Human friends can take a break in the shade and watch for some of the magnificent birds that also visit the river while your pup is having the time of it’s life. Private parking onsite. *** This is a “carry in carry out” “park!” Please take your poop bags. I cannot have all the poop :) There is a park with a garbage bag 200 yards from my house if you want to dispose of it quickly. Right out of my driveway, 200 yards on your left. Pull over and toss the bag into the garbage there. **Back patio is off limits. It is not fenced but please respect this space, tables, chairs, etc., as my private space and refrain from sitting/lounging. Please also refrain from in using the swing set. Please do your best to keep pups from running through any plantings! All other space in front yard near the river and backyard grassy area and woods are available to explore! ***I have recently found a lot of poop in my yard. You MUST clean up after your dogs. If it continues I will have to shut down my spot. Please keep a watchful eye on your dogs and clean up their poop. I cannot police the yard after every visitor and clean up their poop.
