Rent safe and private dog fields hosted by locals in Monkton, Vermont

A private hiking trail for dogs and their owners 🐾 there will not be any other dogs out on the trail. Our trail is located in Bolton (Waterbury address). It’s is approximately 1 mile up the mountain. There is a Brook that follows the trail most of the way up. The trail starts out with a nice mowed path and leads you into a beautiful canopy of trees as you head into the woods and it quickly turns into a steep uphill hike. We have 135 acres for you to adventure on ! Please follow the signs for the trail head parking - go all the way past the barn outfront and you will see a sign on your right.

New, fully fenced half acre mowed field. Plenty of space for your dog(s) to stretch their legs and get out all their zoomies! Plenty of toys, drinking water and places to investigate! Fence is 4ft high with wooden footboard. Fence is welded metal…..Your dog(s) will be safe and contained. Park located ~1 mile down a dead end dirt road with minimal car traffic and moderate pedestrian traffic. West side of park parallels road with a steep bank and ~15ft separating it. To the South is hayfield and our house is to the North. Our house is ~30ft from North side of park, but fully visible. To the East, enjoy views of Georgia Mountain and Mount Mansfield (in Winter months). Pooper scooper, poop bags, hand sanitizer and receptacle available but please pack in pack out all other trash. Approx 3.5 acres of land on our property, with our house sandwiched in the middle. Please park along the split rail fence next to the house (do not block garage). Then walk down the small hill and through some woods along some trails and find a little stream/offshoot of the wetlands that span across VT 15, or enjoy some play time in the open field. You may spot some rabbits, deer or turkeys in the woods while you’re exploring! Feel free to make your own trail walking through the woods - there’s a path at the beginning and then it’s fairly free reign. Feel free to message with questions during your explore time. Beware of ticks, etc during summer months. Enjoy!

Private Space behind Kickback Brewery- Fields and marked woods area perfect for romping and exploring. Parking is occasionally busy due to business hours at Kickback Brewery- but once you’re past the driveway it’s privacy! A field and wooded area at your disposal! Brewery is only open on occasional weekends!Please ask any questions ! Chickens on site- “Day of Bookings” means they will likely be out and we need you to keep dogs secured until you’re safely past them- thank you!

Large enclosure for your babies to run free and have fun. Please be aware small dogs can escape under the gate. Chairs for the humans to sit. Fresh water for your pups, bags for your to clean up after, and a trash can to dispose of those bags. We currently have a large puddle(I say pond) of water making my area a muddy mess. Please don’t reserve if you do not want to deal with muddy dogs after their time here.

Come enjoy a two acre campsite with toys, water bowls, water, trash can, chairs , a fire-pit and a screened shaded summer shed. A nice mowed grassy area is perfect for playing with balls and toys. A wooded area is fun for exploring and sniffing the scents of nature. Walk down the old power line trail for additional adventures. Enjoy nature and all the scents and sounds! The beach offers a sandy area perfect for chasing balls and sticks. Take a dip in the cool Schroon River and feel free to walk up the river’s edge and explore the riverbank. Shoes recommended. Overnight camping available upon request and availability.

A snifari for your pet(s)

Let your dog run wild and play on our hay meadows in Putnam Station NY. Spot is woman owned and operated, features seclusion and great visibility for a safe, rural experience (please see the map included in the listing). Wide open meadows are beautiful and convenient to NY 22 on a quiet country road. Easy, paved access from the Eastern shores Lake George NY, near Fort Ticonderoga, and the Western Shore of Lake Champlain. Dog owner DOES NOT need to clean up pet waste at our spot ;D Your pet's poo is a beneficial deterrent against crop damage and helps keep deer from hiding their fawns in the meadow. You should have leash, voice, or buzz collar control (we have collars available) to protect from escape into the wilderness or out onto the road. Please contact us a day in advance if you would like to borrow buzz collar system or GPS (so we can make sure everything is fully charged). Our town is VERY strict on DCO enforcement - no loose dogs on the road or neighboring properties EVER please, they would probably send you a ticket in the mail! :P If you anticipate having trouble with keeping your dog close upon entering/leaving the meadows please bring your car well within the steel gate to park before letting pooches out onto the meadows - there is a magnificent view toward the end of the access road and space to turn around in dry weather. Water features are available through streams and small ponds at various locations in the woods, also along the lake there are some ponds, for those who want a longer adventure. Pets may dig anywhere along the wooded edge of the meadows, please no digging in the grassland.
