Winter Creek Dog Park In San Jose

Fully Fenced
0.5 acres

June 22: The parking area to the fully-fenced area have been mowed short. We have tried to eliminate as many foxtails as possible. I am waiting on a tractor service for the hillside - the grass is taller w/ foxtails so recommend avoiding until it is mowed. SUMMER: Recommend AM visits before 10am or evening after 5pm. Our spot is full sun with very limited shade. We are trying to eliminate the foxtails but we have a large property and cannot guarantee we get all of them. **Horses visible in adjacent property occasionally Additionally, guests can enjoy the adjacent hillside which is partially-fenced. You are welcome to enjoy this off-leash or, if you're more comfortable, take a little stroll through the grass. NOTE: There may be foxtails and ticks in this area.

Sterlyng's Private Dog Park In Morgan Hill (Temporarily Closed)

Partially Fenced
10 acres

We are on 10 acres and would love to share our yard with you. Beautiful Mountain View’s amongst grape vines with gravel pathways. On the interior portion of the park is a dirtbike track with a more rugged terrain and incline walking. Definitely more weeds, but if you are looking for a more off road feeling this is another option aside from the full pathway around the perimeter of the dirtbike track. This time of year the grapevines are a beautiful with lots of beautiful green foliage. We do also have a cool off spot in the front of the house under a very large old pine tree with roses to smell while your dog has their belly on the cool green grass by their water bowl in the shade. Where your new morning or afternoon ritual begins. Please note: Pool is an ‘extra’ charge. You can add this item as an extra while adding this spot to your cart. Not included in base charge. PUP PARTIES 🎉🥳🎈🎁🐶🐾🎈🎁🎉 We are still new to SniffSpot but have been asked multiple times recently if we would host pup parties. This is something I have not yet put a price point on but can make this feasible as well. If you are interested in coordinating something, please message me and I can send you SniffSpot items available for parties. (i.e. BBQ, Tables, chairs, shaded areas, pool time. etc)

St. Stephen's in-the-Field Episcopal Church's Fully Fenced Yard In San Jose

Fully Fenced
0.02 acres

Hello! We’re just getting started hosting with Sniffspot and are excited to host you! Please let us know what we can do to improve the space. A past guest let us know we needed better signage, so we got a bright blue sign printed and hung it on the fenced area. Another guest mistook the community garden (incompletely fenced) for the play area (completely fenced). If you see vegetables, the area is not completely fenced! You're welcome to explore, just be respectful of the gardeners and plants please. The avocado tree overhanging the play area is dropping fruit right now, so if your dog likes to eat random stuff on the ground please be careful! The play area is tucked between St Stephen’s in-the-Field Episcopal Church and the left hand fence (turn from Santa Teresa Blvd onto Avenida España, then take the first right and head to the back). There are two churches on the lot, ours is at the back, with ample off street parking and lots of gardens to explore, in addition to the enclosed play space. Feel free to message with any questions!

Frequently asked questions about Monterey County dog fields

What do private dog fields in Monterey County offer that public parks don't?

Private dog fields in Monterey County offer complete privacy (no other dogs), specialized environments for full-speed running and fetch, professionally maintained cleanliness, flexible 24/7 scheduling, and safe spaces for all temperaments—puppies, seniors, small dogs, reactive dogs, or any pup needing accommodations. Public dog parks in Monterey County can't guarantee any of this. With 20 options, you get predictable, controlled environments perfect for your dog's specific needs.

Can I find fully fenced private dog parks in Monterey County?

Yes! Most of Monterey County's 20 private dog parks are fully fenced. Use the "fully fenced" filter to find secure enclosures with detailed specs: height (4ft, 6ft, 8ft+), material (wood, chain-link, vinyl), and gap information. This is crucial for escape artists, puppies learning boundaries, reactive dogs needing contained space, or small dogs who might squeeze through. Monterey County listings include fencing photos so you can verify security.

When can puppies start visiting dog fields in Monterey County?

Puppies can visit Monterey County dog fields as early as 8-10 weeks with initial vaccinations, much earlier than the 16+ weeks needed for public park safety. This early, controlled socialization prevents fear and reactivity issues later. Plus, puppies can explore full-speed running and fetch without being overwhelmed or learning bad behaviors from poorly socialized adult dogs. Many Monterey County trainers specifically use dog fields for puppy development.

How do I find private dog fields near me in Monterey County?

Browse Monterey County's 20 dog fields on Sniffspot by entering your neighborhood or zip code. Filter by distance, then narrow by features: fully fenced, "fewer dogs seen/heard," specific amenities, terrain type, or size. Each Monterey County listing shows photos, reviews, exact location, and instant availability. Local favorite Hillside meadow is particularly popular among Monterey County dog owners.

Can I rent dog fields in Monterey County by the hour?

Yes! All 20 dog fields in Monterey County are available for hourly rental. Most bookings are 1-2 hours, though you can reserve longer for training or events. Book instantly through Sniffspot, arrive during your time slot, and have complete privacy. Many Monterey County dog owners rent weekly for consistent, safe exercise.

What's the difference between Sniffspot dog fields and public dog parks in Monterey County?

The biggest difference is privacy and control. Public dog parks in Monterey County mean sharing space with unknown dogs and owners. That means you can't control who shows up or how they behave. Sniffspot's 20 Monterey County dog fields give you private bookings where only your dogs are present. You choose the time, the space, and the environment. Plus, your pup enjoys full-speed running and fetch and maintained cleanliness that public parks can't guarantee.

Are there indoor dog fields in Monterey County?

Yes! Monterey County has climate-controlled indoor dog fields perfect for extreme weather, rainy days, or year-round exercise. Indoor Monterey County locations typically feature protective flooring, controlled temperatures, and enclosed environments. They're especially popular for puppy training, senior dogs, reactive dogs, or anyone wanting consistent access regardless of Monterey County weather. Filter by "indoor" to see options.

How do Monterey County dog fields help with dog training?

Monterey County trainers love dog fields because privacy eliminates distractions. Work on recall, practice long-distance recall across open space, running drills, or field sports like fetch and frisbee, reinforce obedience, socialize puppies, or address reactivity without interruptions. For reactive dogs, train without trigger-stacking. For puppies, practice skills in controlled increments. For any dog, get focused training time in an environment specifically designed for full-speed running and fetch.
