David's 50 Acre "Let Them Run Free" Private Dog Park near Abingdon

Unfenced
50 acres

This spot is 50+ acres of open fields and forest, non-residential, with a mountain stream along the western border, and a 1/4 acre farm pond. There are no pets or livestock on the property, so if your dog likes to run free and fast, this is the place for adventure. There are some trails through the woods, seasonal berry picking, a water hydrant with public water, and shelters with an indoor bathroom if needed. The land also hosts our sawmill and lumber kiln as well as a mechanic shop leased to a friend, but most of the land is open for exploration. There is a gravel/dirt road that loops around the property, but is not recommended for low clearance vehicles. Plenty of parking anywhere along the loop. Squirrels and wild rabbits to chase!

Jeff's 1 Acre Unfenced Private Dog Park In Richlands

1 acre

1 acre lot in a quiet neighborhood. Grass is mowed weekly and there is a river along the back side of the property. You can drive straight into the backyard along side but don't drive out into yard, you can get stuck, I know from experience.

Frequently asked questions about North Tazewell dog fields

What amenities do North Tazewell dog fields typically include?

North Tazewell dog fields feature amenities designed for full-speed running and fetch: big field and open space, secure fencing options, water stations, waste disposal, and often extras like toys, shade structures, or parking. Unlike public parks with generic setups, North Tazewell hosts customize their spaces. Browse 5 listings to compare—from bare essentials to luxury amenities perfect for your dog's needs.

Can I find dog fields in North Tazewell with water access?

Many North Tazewell dog fields include water features! Filter by amenities to find swimming pools, natural ponds, or water play areas. Water is perfect for hot North Tazewell days, water-loving breeds, or low-impact exercise for seniors and disabled dogs. Each listing specifies water type, depth, and safety features. Some North Tazewell hosts provide life vests or shallow options for nervous swimmers.

How clean are private dog fields in North Tazewell compared to public parks?

Significantly cleaner. Public dog parks in North Tazewell see dozens of dogs daily with sporadic city maintenance. Private dog fields have dedicated hosts who maintain their own spaces—cleanliness directly affects their reviews and bookings. Many North Tazewell hosts provide fresh poop bags, sanitized water stations, and regular grounds cleaning. With only one booking at a time, waste accumulation is minimal.

Can I book North Tazewell dog fields on short notice?

Usually yes! Many North Tazewell dog fields offer same-day or next-day availability with instant booking. Unlike public parks that might be crowded unpredictably, North Tazewell private dog fields let you reserve exactly when needed: early morning before work, midday breaks, evening exercise. Real-time availability shows on each listing—perfect for last-minute training or when routines get disrupted.

What's the best time to visit dog fields in North Tazewell?

Any time works since bookings are private! Unlike public dog parks in North Tazewell that are crowded during peak hours (mornings, evenings, weekends), you don't worry about timing. Book when it fits YOUR schedule—midday when it's quiet, dawn for cool weather, late evening for convenience. Many North Tazewell dog fields have lighting for after-dark visits. This flexibility is perfect for shift workers or dogs with special needs.

Do North Tazewell dog fields allow multiple dogs?

Yes! Most North Tazewell dog fields welcome multiple dogs from the same household. Some hosts set limits (check listings), but generally you can bring your whole pack. This is perfect for multi-dog households in North Tazewell where some dogs are selective—they can play together privately without outside interference. Great for sibling bonding or families with mixed ages/temperaments.

Can I use North Tazewell dog fields for special events?

Many North Tazewell dog fields welcome doggy birthday parties, training workshops, breed meetups, or group playdates. Private bookings mean your event won't be interrupted. Coordinate with North Tazewell hosts about capacity, amenities (parking, shade, water), and any restrictions. Some even provide party extras. Check individual North Tazewell dog field listings for event policies.

How do North Tazewell dog fields accommodate dogs with special needs?

North Tazewell dog fields are excellent for special needs dogs because you can filter for specific requirements: flat terrain for mobility issues, secure fencing for blind/deaf dogs, quiet locations for anxious dogs, small spaces for seniors, or maximum privacy for reactive dogs. Read reviews from other North Tazewell special-needs dog owners, and contact hosts with questions. The private setting means you can adapt the experience to your dog's unique requirements.
