We would prefer dogs on run on the cover, but if they do, the cover is strong enough, so they will be safe. There is an indoor bathroom if we are home to let you in. The fire pit will be removed at some point, but as of this listing it is available.

As for you, enjoy being in the company of our barn circa 1840, which was featured in a local Western film in the 1970s. We have outdoor furniture for you to take it all in as you immerse yourself in the wonders of Silverton Road’s most charming home! If you’re lucky, you may just see some of our neighborhood’s beloved deer or chickens grazing in the field behind our property. When you’re done enjoying our property, be sure to visit Silverton Farms right down the road for fresh organic produce, eggs, honey and flowers. We hope you enjoy our property as much as our dogs Blu and Auggie do! Please note- we are a heavily wooded yard and as such, be sure to check you and your pups for ticks! Also just an update: upon entering our barnyard (make a left after you enter the first gate) you will see where a large tree stump has been ground down- we lost our wonderful Black Cherry tree in a recent storm. As of 6/26, we have reseeded that area so please don’t mind the progress :) One more quick note: Because our sanctuary is so well-loved by our local pups, the grass can experience some "wear and tear" during the peak summer months. While some areas may look a bit sandy or thin due to high traffic, please know we will be reseeding these spots to ensure it returns to its full, lush state. We appreciate your understanding as we keep our yard looking its best for every visitor!

Theyard is about 3500 to 4000 ft.² around the side of the yard is an area with a table and chairs also a small screened in porch that you are welcome to use with your pup! I will make sure that there is a dog bowl and bags for picking up poop available for you. Trash cans are right as soon as you park! If your dog is not reactive, or if you are working on reactivity, there is gate that exits out through the other side of our yard and you enter the Wissahickon Trail, you are more than welcome to walk the public trail with your leashed dog! My husband built a small rock trail to guide you into the main trail. Also, the patio and chairs are a great spot for people who are working from home.
