Sarah's 1000 Acre Fully Fenced Private Dog Park In Cochrane

Hello! We are a working ranch west of Cochrane Alberta in the gorgeous foothills. Along with gorgeous scenery you will also enjoy endless space do you and your dog. Please be aware that it is very rural. There is tons of uneven terrain/fallen logs/gopher holes and that there is the possibility of wildlife encounters including bears/cougars. Please be fully prepared for this with appropriate hiking equipment. Please contact us directly to book so that we can suggest which part of the property would best suit you and your dogs needs.

Private Park-Like Setting in Priddis

15 acres of pasture and forest with Priddis Creek on three sides. Please do not pick flowers, plants or trees. Due to the type of wildlife that visit, we kindly ask that you take everything with you that you brought and clean up after your dog. Trash bins are located at the Priddis Community Hall if you need. *If you are bringing more than one vehicle, please reach out prior to booking* IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD

Little Creek Private Park

( $10 CAD or $8 USD) and you will be emailed exact directions to the farm upon booking ***** Located East of Black Diamond Alberta surrounded by farmland, We are welcoming furry friends and their amazing owners to enjoy our 5 acres private dog park. This fully fenced area contains a creek and hills for you to explore. We ask that bookings are kept private with additional dogs being private play dates. *****The map doesn’t show our exact location, we are just east of Black Diamond. See access instructions that are emailed to you once booked for exact location.****** It’s really important to us to keep the area clean and well looked after. So please don’t pick any flowers or trees, leave everything the way you found it and enjoy some time with nature and your dog! If you have any waste please take it with you. Note the price is charged in USD. ( $10 CAD or $8 USD) It is a US app and we are unable to change the currency at this time. Recommendations: -we recommend hiking shoes or decent footwear -tall socks or long pants are good to have in some areas -there is no path that can accommodate a stroller so we would recommend a hiking backpack for very small children *The hose to the park to spray off the dogs is on for the summer, it’s at the top of the hill south of the benches hanging on the fence. * * We are surrounded by farmland, so there could be cows, horses, chickens near the park depending on the time of year*

Rover Come Over - Water Meadow Side

***IMPORTANT: all prices listed are in USD and guests will be charged in USD*** We have two areas for use. Mountain View and Water Meadow..each is to be booked separately. Water Meadow is 2 acres of sheep-fenced area. There is a mostly dried-up dugout at the far end (water in spring and early summer). If your dog does not have great recall, and you don't want them in the dug-out area, you might want to use Mountain View. Mountain View is .9 acres of sheep-fenced area. ****I require that all dogs be vaccinated for Parvo and Distemper. Bring your own water and pick up after your dog. Parking is on the driveway, outside of the access gates, which are labeled. Please be sure to close the gates during use and after you leave.

Bring your dog’s favourite tasty treats and get them to work for it, by hiding them in one of 100+ hiding spots. You can either fill all hiding spots or hide a few pieces or anything in between. (Make it easy by putting treats everywhere. Make it harder, only hide a handful.) You can repeat as many times as you want during your booking. Either ninja hide as your dog finds. Or work on your dog’s stay while you hide some more. Have two dogs? Have them go at the same time or split the time up and let each have a turn. Pathways/property are well taken care of. Some areas of the mowed paths have short spiked plants, but I was in sandals and didn’t find them to be an issue neither did my dogs. The dogs had a blast catching discs, rolling grass and dunking themselves in the water. We will be back!

Huge place, lots of space for dogs to run around. The creek is small and stagnant water so don’t make a reservation with just that in mind. Go for the space, privacy and to watch your pups be free and wild.

This was great spot and I’m going back tomorrow. Right now the creek is crystal clear and just deep enough in the middle that my 60 pound dog had to swim in to fetch his ball. The open pasture was perfect for him to run around in the tall grass and dry off. The autumn colors are beautiful right now!

Beautiful place to spend a couple of hours this afternoon. When walking near the creek, it truly felt like we were alone in the wilderness. It was great that there was a mowed path to follow around the property as it felt like walking along a nature trail.

So amazing!! Such a gorgeous setting, super spacious and the creek is the best! Our dogs love the water and they were in heaven! The mowed paths are fantastic for us two legged folks...so comfortable for walking. We will be regular visitors for sure 😊

My dog really enjoyed this park!! Mot fully fenced (as it says) but my dog doesn’t stray too far from me so it was perfect for us !! There is creek access, but a house right across the creek that has the same access & I wasn’t sure if they had a dog or not so we didn’t spend much time there but a nice option for those who aren’t worried about that !!

Great spot to take your dog if he gets stressed or anxious being around other dogs! To have a spot like this all to yourself with no worry about letting your dog off leash is a blessing. Especially to have clean water in the creek for your dog to enjoy on a hot day is awesome! We will definitely be bringing our boy back there!

The Paddock here is clean and dry. I was worried it might be muddy as it is Spring, but it’s not at all. There are some snowy patches under the trees on the south side but the field is clear. I love coming here to watch the boys run and enjoy themselves, and they love it too.

It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
