But recall is good to have as I don’t completely trust fences as I’ve seen some pretty good escape artists get over much higher wooden fences. There are 2 smaller pastures at the bottom of the hill before the bush areas as well, and one side has a little bit of a pond/standing water on it. You could also see some wildlife on your walk. There is a small gap (8"at the most) under the entrance gate. This park is more rustic and best for MEDIUM SIZED and up dogs. There is a large field and forest paths to explore and a massive dirt pile for digging/climbing! Grass is not mowed often here so grass is longer. Please dress appropriately for the weather and terrain. Public gravel road does border the park on one side so please be careful of vehicles/traffic. I have 4 pasture spaces but one will be for the dogs and closed to other animals when dogs are booked. However it’s important to note horses may be in the pasture next to the sniff spot. The fence is sheep fencing. Small dogs could sneak through so be watchful. The pasture space is rolling and mostly open with some treed space. Your dog may find all sorts of things here but please leave any bones they find. Feel free to take sticks. Located just west of the Battle Lake Church on the curve corner of RR 20 and TWP 462.

Today we visited Bear Park for the first time and we were greeted at the entrance by Nick. He was friendly and gave us a quick intro to the property. I loved that he provided a ball and chucker as that kept my crazy granddog entertained as we walked around. We really appreciate having private access to this property. This dog is young and energetic and there was plenty of room for him to run. We will definitely be back - and maybe request the bonfire next time. Thank you for your hospitality! (I wish I could upload a video, I have several of a crazy happy dog!)

What a nice, clean property! Nick was there to greet us and show us the area, as well as say goodbye. The area is well fenced with lots of garbages & bags for poo pickup. My boys had a great time exploring the wide open space. It was easy to find and the owner was there to greet me and give me the scoop. He even had the fire going on this chilly day which was nice. My one guy is dog reactive so i am happy to have found this private fenced in space. The owner’s dogs were slightly visible from the backyard and vocal at times but there was enough distance that it was not a concern. We will definitely return.

Very open, spacious, and clean. Nick was there to greet us on arrival and had a fire going, which was great to sit around on a chilly day. There are paths cleared in the deep snow, with a loop around the park. Our dog is reactive to other dogs and this spot gave us peace of mind, our dog left tired and happy.

A lovely spot for letting off some steam. Smaller than the other Edmonton area sniffspot, but perfect for doing some laps, getting some sniffs and playing fetch. Very clean and well maintained with a friendly, helpful owner. It is fully fenced, with the snow it might be possible for a very determined and athletic dog to climb over, but otherwise very secure. There was a dog in the neighbouring yard that was not visible, but did bark for the majority of the visit. Just in case that is a consideration. We were a little confused by the directions as it wasn’t at the end of the main road, but if you pay attention you’ll find it 😛

It was wonderful! Went with my friend and our dogs, we walked and chatted while they played, and we brought a picnic lunch to share. The on site chairs are lovely! It was a gorgeous way to spend the afternoon. We went for three hours as we have very high energy breeds, and it was perfect! Her and I both went home with tired and satisfied boys.

Beautiful acreage, clean and lots of open space. I just really needed somewhere secluded and private with minimal distraction to work on a tandem leash for the first time with both dogs, this was perfect for that. I’ll likely book again soon for training purposes as one of my dogs is a working dog and comes with a lot of liability so a spaces like this are great for us. Only downside is the driveway to enter is a little rough and muddy and some of the grass is long enough to lose your dogs in for a brief second but otherwise loved it!
