Landon's 160 private ranch In Angel Fire

Fully Fenced
160 acres

Our entire ranch is our sniffspot. Feel free to come through the gate, shut it so the horses don't get out, and come on up the hill. To the right you will see "Fire & Ice" this is our ice skating rink and fore pits for the winter. This is a great area to base camp while you and your puppy explore. While you are here, feel free to sniff around anywhere with the exception of the buildings, or any of the campsites which may have a camper with us here at Enchanted Circle Campground. We are the number 1 Campground in NM 3 years in a row, so we ask that you leave those guests to their privacy, and they will do the same for you. Check us out on Hipcamp.com if you are curious about the Campground. For the sniffspots you are able to explore the trails, the lakes, the ponds, or anywhere else your tail may take you. Enjoy your time. Call us if you need anything. Have a great time and see you soon. There are also tennis balls at the games area with the swings for the puppies. Help yourself. Please leave them for other puppies to play too. Gate code is 2023 bottom right button.

Frequently asked questions about Ranchos de Taos dog fields

Why are private dog fields better than public dog parks in Ranchos de Taos?

Private dog fields in Ranchos de Taos eliminate major public park risks: unpredictable dog encounters that scare puppies, aggressive dogs that trigger reactive behavior, chaotic crowds that overwhelm seniors or small dogs, and disease transmission from dozens of unknown dogs. Ranchos de Taos's 8 private dog fields offer complete privacy, professionally maintained cleanliness, and controlled environments. Whether you have a fearful puppy, a reactive adult, a fragile senior, or simply want peace of mind, private bookings give you control.

How safe are Ranchos de Taos dog fields compared to public dog parks?

Ranchos de Taos dog fields are significantly safer than public facilities. Public dog parks risk: aggressive dogs, inattentive owners, disease transmission, overcrowding that triggers reactive behaviors or injuries. Private Ranchos de Taos dog fields eliminate these concerns—bookings are completely private, all guests have vaccinated dogs (or titers), and hosts maintain clean spaces. 93% of Sniffspot reviews are 5 stars.

Are Ranchos de Taos dog fields safe for reactive dogs?

Ranchos de Taos owners of reactive dogs choose dog fields because they offer safe, private environments for off-leash exercise without the triggers of public dog parks. Complete privacy means no unexpected dog encounters, no overwhelming chaos, no aggressive dogs. Reactive dogs can finally enjoy full-speed running and fetch while building confidence in a controlled setting. Many Ranchos de Taos reactive dog owners say Sniffspot is their only safe exercise option.

Can anxious dogs safely use Ranchos de Taos dog fields?

Yes! Ranchos de Taos dog fields provide controlled environments perfect for anxious or fearful dogs. No other dogs means no triggers, no overwhelming situations. Anxious dogs can explore a large, open grass area where dogs can run at full speed and play fetch at their own pace without stress. Many Ranchos de Taos dog fields offer quiet, spacious settings ideal for building confidence in nervous dogs who struggle at chaotic public dog parks.

Are Ranchos de Taos dog fields good for small dogs?

Absolutely! Small dogs benefit enormously from Ranchos de Taos dog fields because they can explore without fear of being trampled or intimidated by larger breeds. Many small dog owners in Ranchos de Taos avoid public parks entirely due to safety concerns—dog fields eliminate that worry. Filter for appropriate sizing, secure fencing with no gaps, and hosts who understand petite pup needs.

Do Ranchos de Taos dog fields work for senior dogs?

Yes! Senior dogs thrive at Ranchos de Taos dog fields because they can move at their own pace without being knocked over by rambunctious puppies or young dogs. Look for Ranchos de Taos dog fields with flat terrain, easy access, shade, and smaller sizes if your senior has mobility limitations. The privacy means your older dog can rest when needed and enjoy gentle exercise without stress.

What do Ranchos de Taos dog owners say about dog fields?

Reviews of Ranchos de Taos dog fields consistently highlight: excellent privacy for all dog types, secure fencing that prevented escapes, clean and well-maintained spaces, responsive hosts, and safe environments for anxious, fearful, reactive, senior, and small dogs. Local favorite Landon's 160 private ranch In Angel Fire is particularly praised in Ranchos de Taos. Read reviews to see real experiences from Ranchos de Taos dog owners with similar needs.
