One side of the property is bordered by rock springs and has some natural fencing consistent with a century old farm and homestead. Walk back in time and enjoy the boundless scenery. Please be aware of the water features as the spring is deep and moves swiftly through the property. An abundance of wildlife live on the farm so don’t be surprised by deer, hawks, skunks, rabbits, raccoons and such. Seven Acres, Mostly Fenced, Waterfront access on Mill Creek.
We hope you will give us a try and visit Nashville's very first Sniffspot and the most popular Sniffspot in middle Tennessee to this day! Read on for details … we love sharing our secret place! You can book using this link, or sign up with a membership for additional discounts . https://www.sniffspot.com/to/a0whh We've recently increased our per dog cost for the second time since opening in 2019. We don't take it lightly but Sniffspot has changed to membership only model. This has resulted in decreased traffic to our site as a result of new members targeting higher tiers of discounts for spots that honor the membership discount model. We have not been participating in this prior to now. In order to offer more opportunity for dogs and discounts, and align with the Sniffspot membership architecture, we are opening the spot to all membership tier extra discounts. With that as the catalyst, the price is increased to offset the extra membership costs and encourage regular members explore the advantage of the higher tier plans discounts. We are in line or less than other middle Tennessee Top sniffspots that offer the quality level of space, convenience, amenities, experience and location access that this spot has been consistently and successfully providing for years. Thank you to all of you! We appreciate everyone's support over the years and loyalty and don't take increases lightly. If you visit often or use sniffspot regularly across multiple hosts then consider joining with a membership and you can lower costs and find discounts to this site and others through the membership process. We hope you will continue to visit the consistently #1 ranked spot in middle Tennessee, or try us out for the first time and see why! This Sniffspot is very conveniently located in southeast Nashville, 12 miles from downtown Nashville, 8 miles east of Brentwood, we are situated between OHB/Nolensville Rd intersection and just 4 miles from the new Tanger Outlets at i24. An idyllic setting awaits offering 7+ park-like acres of old farm land, mostly fenced, that includes waterfront access to Mill Creek with adventures for all kinds of humans and dogs to enjoy activities playing, running, sniffing, digging and playing in the water. Come get your steps in and spend some quality off-leash time! Training, photo shoots, picnics, birthday and gotcha parties, just explore, rest, or relax in the Adirondack chairs while your dogs sniff, zoom, roam, retrieve, sniff, dig, walk, run, and sniff some more. There's creek access to swim, pastures to roam or nap, play areas of tall grass the dogs can explore, sniff, dig or derp around. Even plan your picnic on a blanket or use the picnic table. Get some exercise on the trampoline (Note: use at your own risk!). Make this sniffspot your private oasis for as long as you want.. Kids are always welcome! Just book your play time, bring at least one dog and all humans are free! Mill Creek borders the very back of the property and is available for water play but trees and vegetation and overall acreage makes it easily avoidable if that's not your thing. If you choose to venture to the creek and have a runner, you may want to bring a long lead. The water levels are usually below the knee, but the ability to use Mill Creek safely depends on you, the creek conditions, and amount of recent rainfall. Always assess the abilities of you and your pets- as safety comes first! As Dirty Harry once said, "A man's got to know his limitations." The majority of the property has fencing so once you pass the house on your way to the back fields it's off leash play time! I recommend considering walking the perimeter first (on or off leash) to orient yourself with property features and assess potential escape opportunities. Your dog(s) will benefit from a perimeter walk allowing them to visually identify, mark their spots, and collect sniffs while at the same time reaping the benefit of your pack leaving an invisible "bread crumb" scent trail as you walk which will assist a dog with future identification of the established boundaries as well. This is a natural instinct for many breeds. Note that Mill Creek along the back of the entire property is not fenced but it is mostly obscured at dogs level by trees and vegetation. Tip: When leaving, you may want to leash up before you reach the house - especially if you have a runner since there is no fence on the side of the house you enter and leave the spot. Depending on the water table, there is also a small feeder stream gently flowing through the middle of the property between the side and back fields. It can be great fun for a dog to explore and jump in and out of (just try and stop them!) And great for smaller dogs if Mill Creek is too intimidating. Hint: bring towels! The mature tree lines always provide plenty of shade for those hot summer months. Several foot bridges are available to cross over that small stream between the side and back fields while exploring, and you might even find the occasional old fashioned rope wood swing. A black hose with spray wand attachment is hanging by the house at the entrance/exit i behind the fence if you need to rinse you or your pet. Turn on and off at the front of the house please. Another green hose is available hanging on the opposite corner in the back of the house by the BACK garage door for your use -along with a water bowl. That house is convenient when you're coming back from the creek for sure. Feel free to pick yourself wildflowers if they are blooming (late Spring/Summer Varieties), or snack on some blackberries off the fence line if you happen to come while they are ripening (usually mid-June to mid-July).... Bug spray is always recommended spring through fall, Just in case! You can't have all this nature without all the nature. 😉 If the calendar shows the time slot you want is available then book it and it's yours! Be last minute, that's fine! Be spontaneous, that's great! No advanced notice required. (2 hour minimum cancellation required.) If your reservation is early or mid morning, consider to wear waterproof shoes. The dew on the grass will soak your feet! Multiple dog discounts really add up! All dogs after the first dog are 50% off the hourly rate! Bring your pack and/or their friends for a doggy play day! 👍🐾🐾 You are dedicated If you're still reading this far, and maybe you are considering your first visit?? If so, use promo code 'Chip' which is valid to get 5 dollars off your first visit only! 😉 Sniffspot does require a membership which offers discounts. But If you'd like to try us out once first please use the following link: https://www.sniffspot.com/to/a0whh Contact me with any questions and if you would prefer to meet and/or have a guide to walk the property the first time, if I am available, either or both my wife and I would be more than happy to accommodate that! Last, honest feedback and suggestions to improve our spot are very welcome and appreciated! And leaving positive reviews along with sharing pictures of your pet's visit enjoying the property are a host favorite, and will help our Sniffspot as well as others who haven't been here before! Thanks so much, Chip

Come visit our beautiful spot out in the historical Cumberland Homesteads! Set on 20 acres with a 1935 original homestead house, your fur babies will be able to run and play to their heart's content! This spot is very wide open and peaceful with beautiful scenery. During the summer months, feel free to pick blackberries that grow all along the backside of the field, either to take or enjoy during your stay; Great treat for your fur babies also ;) ! During the fall you will have an amazing view of the entire woodline trees changing colors, and in winter months enjoy the beautiful mountain view that is more visible as the trees start to lose their leaves! You can walk the entire field, explore, and enjoy the peace with your babies! The woods are part of the property, so if you'd like to explore and hike the woods, feel free! There is a small creek that runs through the woods that flows really well after a good rain. You may also see a few deer in the morning or evening! Feel free to set up your lawn chairs and just relax while your babies run wild!
