As you arrive, you will park alongside our quiet street on graded dirt that may be slightly uneven in certain areas. You are visiting a residential home. You'll enter the property using the smaller, side gate and walk your pet(s) on a leash along the driveway for about 100 yards (past the deck). You reach a small, white gate to the right. Once you pass through this gate and it is properly latched behind you, you may unleash your pet. There are steps down to the play space. **Most of the land your pet will play on is uneven** **Land is always beautiful, but is green from first rain until May or June, then brown during summer until first rain** **We are fellow dog lovers! During your visit, our dogs will be enclosed uphill and away about 60 feet from the main play space, with two layers of vegetation and fences in between. Their enclosure is located on the far side of the home behind a different fence that cuts off the NW corner of the yard (see photos). The SniffSpot area DOES NOT share a fence with our dogs. You may hear a random bark from them, but that's it. Other details: The rental area is to the right of the driveway and is fenced in by a 3ft fence along two sides, and a 4ft chain link fence on the other two sides. The area is about 3/4 acre. It includes plenty of room for your pup to run, jump and play! There are small hills, trees, and huge boulders. Natural lighting only. Under the second deck there are hammock swings guests may use. Please, no pets on swings. Visitors may also utilize the deck closest to the house, but pets must be leashed on the deck, as it overlooks the play space and is not part of the fenced area. We may or may not be home. We do not typically interact with visitors to maximize your privacy, but would love to meet you if requested! This is a very big back yard large part pavers, large portion turf, and other dirt. On A clear day you can see to ocean, Catalina, and Long Beach. This big yard has a door that leads to the hiking trail of Whiting Ranch (I am not responsible for if you chose to go out there) but it is beautiful trail I take my dogs and kids on. At least once a month we see deer out there. Great space for the dogs and the owners. You both will enjoy this yard just like me and my dogs do also. In summer can put out small kiddy pool and sprinkler for dogs to run through. Comfortable table and chairs. Huge balcony for shade and cover.

I walked around for about 2 miles, and I'm guessing my dogs probably did twice that 😆 The host was nice and allowed extra time, because I took a wrong turn coming there and was late to my booked time. Cherry Valley Acres Private Dog Run🐾🥰

Please read this description carefully before booking! We are a farm, not a manicured backyard . You will see horses, maybe goats, and my chickens in their enclosed coop in the dog run yard. Note 2/5/2026: it is beautiful and green right now, so bring the pups! Entrance to the acre is the dirt/mulch field road just south of the residence driveway.  A quick call to me ~ 909-234-2072 ~ when you arrive for 1st time visits will help guide you into the Sniffspot - which is all the way back to the Sniffspot Sign 🪧 at the back of the entrance acre.  The entrance gate is to the right of the Sniffspot Sign. Park anywhere you like close to the entrance gate, but kindly leave the mulch road clear. Close the gate tightly behind you when you enter. And be sure to close the gate tightly behind you upon your departure. I also request that you give me a quick text upon your departure. Our Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky also love running in this acre, and they love to dig, as do many of our Sniffspot pups! We try to fill in holes every few days, BUT PLEASE be extremely cautious of any holes. If we hadn't had time to fill them in, we usually would put a tall stick straight up right in the middle of the hole to help you determine where they may be. But because we are a farm, and this is one of our extra acre fields, there may be slight dips here and there, a hole where the dog just before your visit may have had fun digging for a gopher, and we hadn't had time to fill it, so agreeing to this reservation is a full and complete release of liability, so please don't fall! So far, so good, fingers crossed, nobody has yet.😊🌻 There may be foxtails at edges of some fencing. My Red Barn Chicken Coop🐤is inside the dog run acre and will be securely locked during your visit. If possible, discourage your pups from pouncing on the enclosed chicken run fences/doors. Totally understand if they do/try! Pups get a pass the first few times until their humans can train them not to do it. Our Husky and Malamute still need a good reminder every time they are enjoying the dog run acre : ) but once they get used to the fact that chickens are there, interest soon dwindles : ) We also have a few outdoor 🐈cats whom have adopted our farm to live at during the years (win/win as they help keep the field 🐁 mice in check, and they pretty much know to clear out of the field when pups are visiting!) There are three horses on a separate enclosed acre to the north of the dog run acre. The tan one is 🐴Classy, and the black and white one is 🐴Gypsy. And again, please thank you for discouraging the dogs from jumping on that fence. It has never been an issue in the past, so just a reminder :-) PLEASE NOTE: This Dog Run Acre is grassy/green with wildflowers 🌻 starting around December 1st - June 15th and dry/brown July 1st - November🏜. We enjoy our Sniffspot humans and pups year-round and have received wonderful reviews, whether it was the dry, hotter summer months, or the green, cooler winter months! We have an automatic water spicket 🚰 for the pups, tight left after entering the Dog Acre gate, then all the way back to the fence on the left, spicket sticking out through fence.  There will be several chairs 🪑set up in front of the chicken coop, with table, chairs, and table umbrella, and additionally a small table w/☂️umbrella provided under the pine trees. Bring drinks, snacks, toys, and enjoy! We suggest you book early mornings in the SUMMER months as there is shade under the pine trees 🌲up until around 11 a.m.  We are up before 7 a.m., so any time early is fine! 🌄 Please bring your own doggie poop bags!  Gather all poop and tie bags and place it in the waste bin at Sniffspot entrance.🗑 Please note that we do have security cameras placed in various positions around property, including at the sniff spot! We have caught many a coyote, mountain lion, dogs, and bobcats wandering around the chicken coop on these cameras and have been able to shew them away several times through the speakers! Enjoy! We’re conveniently located just off the 405 freeway. The entire yard is surrounded by walls and includes a secure gated entrance, giving your dog plenty of private space to play. We provide toys and treats for the dogs, chairs for their humans, and a large stainless-steel water bowl for thirsty visitors. **A quick water-bowl note:** We often have back-to-back bookings, so we may not always have a chance to clean and refill the bowl between visits. Please rinse and refill it as needed using the hose or provided water. **Very important:** Please make sure the water valve is completely turned off when you’re finished. We love water-loving dogs, but we’re not quite ready to open a backyard water park. 💦 Guests are welcome to use our 100-foot hose and assortment of sprinkler attachments for extra splashy fun.
