We loved this Sniffspot! Plenty of room for our mastiff to run and explore. Hammys Hollow was well kept and we loved hearing the horses from their stable. Host provided water, dog toys & chairs for us :)
Will definitely make the trip up here again.

HUGE fenced in area with some farm animals. I think my dogs would have been able to get through the fence but the place was so large they never got close to the fence line. We had a fun time and will be back again!

Great time had by all! We had no issues at all. One beagle sniffed the whole seven acres looking for a rabbit. The other three had the freedom to roam and stayed close to us. We practiced recalls from a long distance. A very secure area and we had no issues at all.

This is an amazing spot to let the dogs off leash! I wasn't at all worried about them getting out, even with my smaller 30 pound dog. There are some neighboring animals (a couple of dogs, cows, horses, and goats), but they are all friendly. Tucker loved to run around, and there is plenty of room to throw his frisbee. The owner is super nice and gives so much helpful info before your reservation!

Wonderful spot for the dogs to enjoy! We walked around the perimeter on the mowed trail and then spent some time playing fetch. It was a very fun and relaxing afternoon for us all.

Coming to this place was worth the hour drive from Austin! The dogs were able to run their tails off, play fetch, and walk around with us. The dogs got the best exercise ❤️

What a fun day! Host has created a very secure fence line that kept our boys (small 12 lbs and big 70 lbs) safe while exploring and smelling all the smells. We enjoyed playing ball and walking around. It truly is an adventure for them and we can’t wait to visit again.

Sarah gave great information that assured a smooth and safe arrival and visit to her property. We loved the big amount of space and that our pup was able to safely sniff off-leash.

Great place to let your dogs run off lead safely. Great set up. I brought my pack of four Malinois. You can see some sheep and a cow from the area but that side of the fence is very secure. My adults know not to bother livestock but I have a puppy that barked and the stock didn’t care and the fence was secure enough I could just work on recalling her away from them.

This was our first time ever using a sniff spot and we are impressed! The walking area was mowed nicely, there were two water bowls available, and the instructions were clear. Communication was great and my three dogs are going to sleep well today after multiple laps of this area! Will visit again!

Very good spot to let your dogs roam! Fence was fully secured, grass was mowed into a nice path. The profile says “sometimes” you may encounter neighboring animals at the fence but we did NOT encounter any neighboring animals which was nice! We came in the morning. It was very very peaceful!!

This was was my first sniff spot to visit. It was exactly what the description says and was a very good place to let my very reactive dog get some free time. Thanks to Sarah! Will definitely be back.

Loved taking my dog here! We met with a friend and took our dogs here where there was plenty of room for them to run around. My dog is highly reactive but did amazing off-leash here. The LGDs nextdoor were so friendly and my pup went right up to the fence with them without reacting at all! We had a good experience and will be back!
What other types of private dog parks are available?
Dog water parks
Many hosts have added water features like pools and/or are nearby lakes or rivers.
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 97% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Temple area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 48 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 8 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
