Enjoy complete, private access to Mahala Springs and Farm, an outdoor event venue where we invite you and your pup to make unforgettable memories together as they swim in the creek, chase frogs in Cara’s Pond, explore the nature trails, or enjoy the 1-mile greenway! The greenway features breathtaking views of pastures and cliffs, as you meander through a cedar forest and along the crystal clear water of BeaverDam Creek!

2 mile wooded trail plus creek (unfenced)

Park in the gravel lot at the bottom of the drive. Walk up the driveway towards the house, then head down the stone steps and cross the creek via the bridge (dogs are welcome to run through the creek)…the 2 mile loop takes about 30-40 minutes at a leisurely pace. Dogs are allowed to be off leash - just make sure they have good recall as we do have deer and other wildlife in the heavily wooded property. The trail is maintained monthly. It is quite steep in places and can be wet after a rain so I would mark this as an intermediate level hike. There are no other dogs on property as this is an event center that can be rented by the day or for 3+ night stays.

One side of the property is bordered by rock springs and has some natural fencing consistent with a century old farm and homestead. Walk back in time and enjoy the boundless scenery. Please be aware of the water features as the spring is deep and moves swiftly through the property. An abundance of wildlife live on the farm so don’t be surprised by deer, hawks, skunks, rabbits, raccoons and such. With a farm also comes briars, thorns, uneven ground, fox holes, mole tunnels, and of course, ticks and mosquitoes. So come prepared!

The space is ideal for high-energy dogs who need room to burn off steam. You’ll have the acreage to yourselves for your booking. Fresh water is available on side of the house next to parking pad. Bowl, spigot, and hose are available. Plenty of wooded shade. Large multi-car parking pad. A few house rules: pick up after your pup, keep an eye on them near the road and property edges. We recently bought a lil piece of heaven, 10 acres of paradise. Half is wooded and half is open land. Open field available for your babies to run on and an open spot in the woods to explore. The property line between us and our neighbors is marked with metal stakes so we ask that you keep your fur babies on our side. But feel free to explore the field of tall grass with trails winding through. We have a dry pond to explore and lots of room to throw a ball. We love it here. Once your done, you both will need a nap. There’s a hose out front of the house you can use to fill up water for your baby, and chairs at the walnut tree to relax in if you need a break. Feel free to walk the trails which come out near the fence closest to house and opposite side in field. Make you and your babies at home and enjoy paradise as much as we all do! See you soon!
