James Taylor

James Taylor has always had a special place in his heart for dogs. James grew up in Chicago with his Shepherd/Collie mix named King. James was in the 1st grade and found himself locked out of his home in the dead of winter, with no way to contact his parents. Cold and scared, he sat by the back door, King sitting next to him, and waited patiently for his family to come home. He grew tired and slowly drifted into a deep sleep. Later that evening his parents came home and found him outside sleeping with King curled up on top of him keeping him warm. To this day, James credits King with saving his life. Without King's loyalty and love James would have frozen to death in the snow that evening. "When I train people and their dogs," says James, "I want them to experience that bond that I shared with King."

James' passion is apparent through the dedication and personal attention he gives each and every dog and owner that comes through his doors. He understands that training is not a one-size-fits-all approach: "Our goal is to make sure you walk out of our training with a working connection with your best friend."

James' background in training is impressive. He completed a 1 year apprenticeship and certification. But his quest for knowledge did not stop there. James took his education up a notch by training with world-renown competition-level and K-9 trainer, Michael Ellis. James earned every certification the Michael Ellis School for Dog Trainers offered.
