Otis' Private Dog Park In Smyrna

Unfenced
25 acres

A hidden gem in the midst of Smyrna! Nested within the city limits is 25 acres of beauty and splendor - creeks, woods, field, trails, and a crystal clear spring. One side of the property is bordered by rock springs and has some natural fencing consistent with a century old farm and homestead. Walk back in time and enjoy the boundless scenery. Please be aware of the water features as the spring is deep and moves swiftly through the property. An abundance of wildlife live on the farm so don’t be surprised by deer, hawks, skunks, rabbits, raccoons and such. With a farm also comes briars, thorns, uneven ground, fox holes, mole tunnels, and of course, ticks and mosquitoes. So come prepared!

Rovers Retreat's 50 Acre Mostly Fenced Private Dog Park In Spring Hill

Partially Fenced
50 acres

**WELCOME TO ROVERS RETREAT** Hi! My name is Lea, and my family and I have been fortunate to call this beautiful piece of land home for the past eight years. My grandmother gave the property to us before she passed away in 2020 at the age of 99, and this land has always been very special to our family. I grew up spending time here with my Memama, helping her milk the goats and riding my horse, Beauty. Today, my husband and I live here with our daughter and our three dogs. We are not farmers yet, but we love the peaceful, natural character of the land and all the memories tied to it. Before we built our home here, we used to bring our own dogs out to run, dig, explore, chase critters, and simply get all of their energy out. They absolutely loved it. Now we want to share that same experience with other dogs and their people. Rovers Retreat is approximately 50 acres of beautiful, private, raw Tennessee land where dogs can have the space to simply be dogs. **ABOUT THE PROPERTY** This is raw, natural land, not a manicured dog park. You will find large open fields, hills, native vegetation, and plenty of room to walk, explore, play ball or Frisbee, or simply relax with your dog. Please look at the property map included in our listing photos before your visit. It will help you understand the areas available for exploring and the few areas we ask guests to avoid. When you enter the property, we prefer that guests explore the fields on the right side of the driveway first. During parts of the summer, hay may be growing in some of the fields. We provide hay for cattle on a neighboring property, so when hay is growing, we will keep a mowed walking path through the field specifically for guests and their dogs. Please stay on the mowed path so the hay crop is protected. When hay is not growing, you are welcome to enjoy the open areas of the fields, including the center portions, for walking, hiking, playing Frisbee, throwing tennis balls, or simply letting your dog enjoy the space. We also have two picnic areas. One is located in the middle portion of the property and is a great place to sit down, enjoy a picnic lunch, throw a ball, or take a break with your dog. **PARKING & GUEST AMENITIES** When you enter the property, you will see the designated parking area on your left. Near the parking area, you will find a picnic table, doggy waste bags, trash cans, tennis balls in a metal container, bug spray, and a basic first-aid kit. Please return the tennis balls when you are finished. If you notice that we are getting low on doggy bags, bug spray, first-aid supplies, or any of the other guest items, we would greatly appreciate you letting us know so we can restock them for the next visitor. Please pick up all dog waste during your visit using the bags provided and dispose of all used doggy bags and other trash in the provided trash cans before leaving. **WATER STATION** Across the driveway from the parking area, you will find a water spigot and hose, along with water bowls and buckets for your dogs. You are welcome to give your dog fresh water there or fill your own dog water bottles before heading farther out onto the property. After your walk, you are also welcome to use the hose to rinse mud or dirt off your dog before leaving. Depending on the weather and how adventurous your dog is, they may get muddy, so we recommend bringing a towel with you. **FENCING & OFF-LEASH USE** The property is fenced, but much of the fencing is older agricultural fencing, and there may be gaps or areas where a small, determined, or escaping dog could potentially get through. We strongly recommend walking the property with your dog on leash first, especially if your dog is a runner, has unreliable recall, or is difficult to control. If your dog has excellent recall and stays close to you, you can decide when you are comfortable allowing them to explore off leash. **NATURAL TERRAIN** Please remember that this is raw countryside. You may encounter uneven ground, mud, tall grass, insects, poison ivy, stinging nettle, and other native vegetation. Please wear sturdy shoes that completely cover your feet and dress appropriately for walking through natural Tennessee countryside. **WOODS & WILDLIFE** Please stay out of the wooded areas and do not allow your dogs to enter them. Deer, wild turkeys, coyotes, groundhogs, and other wildlife live on and around the property, and we want to respect their habitat and avoid disturbing them. **POND AREA** Please stay out of the pond and keep your dogs away from it. A sign is posted near the pond stating: **“Enter the pond at your own risk. No diving or swimming.”** The pond is surrounded by vegetation and may not be easy to see from a distance. The water can become muddy and stagnant, so we do not want guests or dogs entering or drinking from it. We also have a family of groundhogs that lives near the pond, and we ask that their habitat not be disturbed. If your dog accidentally gets into the pond, you are welcome to use the hose at the water station to rinse them off before leaving. **OUR HOME** Please remain at least **100 yards away from our home**. We have our own dogs on the property. They are safely secured and fenced, but they may bark when they see or hear visitors. **TRACTOR & EQUIPMENT AREA** You may see our tractor and equipment near a green shed. Please remain at least **100 yards away from this area** and do not allow dogs or children to approach or climb on any equipment. **RED BARN & STORAGE AREA** On the left-side field, on the same side of the property where you park your vehicle, you may see a small red barn, rocks, stored materials, and other items on the far side of the field. Please stay well away from this entire area and do not allow dogs or children to approach it. **MOST OF ALL, ENJOY YOUR VISIT** Other than the restricted areas listed above, we want you to relax, explore, and enjoy yourselves. Walk the hills, explore the fields, throw a Frisbee, play ball, have a picnic, and let your dog sniff, run, and enjoy the outdoors. We feel incredibly fortunate to have this land, and we are happy to share a little piece of it with you and your dogs. **TENNESSEE AGRITOURISM WARNING NOTICE** **WARNING** Under Tennessee law, there is no liability for an injury to or death of a participant in an agritourism activity conducted at this agritourism location or by this agritourism professional if such injury or death results from the inherent risks of the agritourism activity. Inherent risks of agritourism activities include, among others, risks of injury inherent to land, equipment, and animals, as well as the potential for you to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to your injury or death. **You are assuming the risk of participating in this agritourism activity.** **Tenn. Miles of marked hiking trails, woods and open pasture, a seasonal creek, and getting away from it all while still being close enough...all reserved just for you during your visit! We're honored to host families, friend groups, and hiking buddies who want to enjoy the peacefulness, beauty, and freedom found in adventuring with their pups on private rural land. (**It is up to the dog owner to keep themselves and their dogs on OUR property and not venture into a neighbor's area.**) Towels, water dish, hammock, table and chairs, and trail maps are available at the Welcome Station. A primitive outhouse is available for visitor use and is a little walk from the Welcome Station. Offering Sniffspot allows our family a unique opportunity to share our beautiful property with others. We are very cognizant of the rapid subdividing and development of rural land in Middle Tennessee, and we are hoping to continue offering our property as a peaceful escape to enjoy the beauty of the area. Thanks for your support towards this goal! :) 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐦 We are proud of our wild homeplace and love sharing its beauty and peacefulness with others! This property has been in our family since the early 1800s, and in fact, our children are the 8th generation to live in our old farmhouse. :) The portion of the property for our dog guests and their people is 140 acres of beautiful woods and spacious open fields less than an hour from Nashville. This part of the property has several cedar glades, marked hiking trails, karst topography, a seasonal creek, a variety of wildlife, and several benches (one converts to a picnic table) available for guests. We’ve developed and are continually maintaining trails across our property. Some of the trails are wide and open and give you great access to the beautiful pastures. Other trails are narrow and twist through the unendingly interesting woods. All trails have names and are identified with signs and posted maps. The woods trails are also marked with flags and ribbons to help you stay on track. The terrain varies from flat and open to hilly and wooded. If you need the fresh air, chance to recharge, and time to explore as much as your pup, this is the place for you! Our property is unfenced, and there are some neighbor homes near the property lines. It is essential that your dogs stay close to you and don’t bother anything outside our property. Plentiful Hill is a wild place. We aim to make it accessible and enjoyable to visitors, but we ultimately submit to the inescapable power, beauty, and essence of nature. Please anticipate and prepare for normal outdoor issues including bug bites, snake encounters, and severe weather. We work hard to keep paths mowed/accessible during the growing months, but bug spray (with Deet is the most effective) and tick checks are necessary to ensure you and your pups stay happy and healthy. :) ***Because this property has been a farm for more than 200 years, you may find some old implements, trash, and wire fencing left over from all those years ago. Staying on the trails while in the woods is advised. Also, you may hear the occasional gunshot from neighboring properties. That is common down in the country, especially during hunting season from Nov through Jan, and it can be startling. There is no shooting/hunting on our property.*** The Town of Chapel Hill is 10 minutes away and has several Dollar Generals, a small grocery store, several restaurants, a laundry mat, and a few boutique shops...enough to cover any essential needs you have while out visiting this way! We’re less than 30 minutes from Spring Hill and Lewisburg, less than 40 minutes from Franklin, Columbia, and Murfreesboro, and, surprisingly, less than 50 minutes from downtown Nashville. These are difficult times for a lot of folks, and we want our property to be a safe and inviting place for people of all backgrounds and their pets. It's important to us that people of color, those in the LGBTQ+ community, and anyone else who might sometimes feel unwelcomed in outdoor spaces feel especially comfortable and accepted while visiting our place.

2 mile wooded trail plus creek (unfenced)

Unfenced
15 acres

Park in the gravel lot at the bottom of the drive. Walk up the driveway towards the house, then head down the stone steps and cross the creek via the bridge (dogs are welcome to run through the creek)…the 2 mile loop takes about 30-40 minutes at a leisurely pace. Dogs are allowed to be off leash - just make sure they have good recall as we do have deer and other wildlife in the heavily wooded property. The trail is maintained monthly. It is quite steep in places and can be wet after a rain so I would mark this as an intermediate level hike. There are no other dogs on property as this is an event center that can be rented by the day or for 3+ night stays.

Welcome to Gay Acres, 10 acres of rolling private land in Whites Creek, just 15 minutes north of downtown Nashville. Wide open room for your dog to run, sniff, and just be a happy dog! The space is ideal for high-energy dogs who need room to burn off steam. You’ll have the acreage to yourselves for your booking. Fresh water is available on side of the house next to parking pad. Bowl, spigot, and hose are available. Plenty of wooded shade. Large multi-car parking pad. A few house rules: pick up after your pup, keep an eye on them near the road and property edges. Our neighbor does have chickens nearby. The Sniff Spot app has some issues with messaging, I’ll respond via text or email. My phone number will generate with welcome message. Haley's 21 Acre Partially Fenced Private Dog Park In Wartrace

Partially Fenced
21 acres

Beautiful 27-acre property in rural Wartrace with plenty of room for dogs of any size or breed to come play, off or on leash. This is an awesome opportunity for you and your pet to go on the fun-filled, adventure-packed, private field trip you’ve been waiting for! We have a creek and pond on site for the water loving fur babies to use as they please! We ask that you use the second entrance that has a gravel driveway and parking area, rather than the entrance to the main house. There will be signage at the correct entrance. Keep in mind that we have a fence on all sides except along the road. However, our road isn’t very busy, and you will be far enough off the road enough that we do not foresee any problems, as long as your dog doesn’t have a tendency of heading for the hills as soon as they are off leash. Even then, I think there is enough room that any dog will be free to run and play without harm. We have two dogs of our own, so please let me know if you would like me to put them up during your visit. If not, my doggos are friendly and would love to play with your pet(s)! Most of the pets in the pictures provided are of dogs I have watched for friends and family in the past. Oh, and no need to bag poo. 😁

Paradise is waiting for you

Unfenced
10 acres

We recently bought a lil piece of heaven, 10 acres of paradise. Half is wooded and half is open land. Open field available for your babies to run on and an open spot in the woods to explore. The property line between us and our neighbors is marked with metal stakes so we ask that you keep your fur babies on our side. But feel free to explore the field of tall grass with trails winding through. We have a dry pond to explore and lots of room to throw a ball. We love it here. Once your done, you both will need a nap. There’s a hose out front of the house you can use to fill up water for your baby, and chairs at the walnut tree to relax in if you need a break. Feel free to walk the trails which come out near the fence closest to house and opposite side in field. Make you and your babies at home and enjoy paradise as much as we all do! See you soon!

Always a great time! One of the few sniff spots that holds my guy’s attention for the whole hour and I usually have to really coax him to get him to go to the truck when it’s time to leave. Plus it’s also one of the most scenic for me to enjoy too ☺️

55My dog and I loved our time here! She loves water but is scared to swim. There were several shallow spots she felt comfortable splashing in- she also got pretty close to swimming a couple times. The trails are a nice addition as well! We’ll definitely be back!

55The water here is really pretty and clean. There were several areas ranging from deep to shallow where your dog can swim. The owner was really nice too, provided us with a map of the place, toys, and towels. My dog loved running around the field and splashing around in the water. There’s also several spots to take pictures of your dog. Definitely worth it and I’ll be coming back soon!

55We have reactive dogs that don’t do well with people or other dogs. This was a great spot to let them run and have fun. It is not fenced as listed so there were a few areas that we felt more comfortable having them leashed but that was no problem and the overall property was worth it. There are woods and lots of water access for your water dogs. We will definitely be back.

Host has a map at the entrance to help guide you if you continue to walk the acreage. Also had towels and toys for the pups.

55Such a beautiful place to hang out, and the host was amazing. It was our very first ever sniffspot experience and she was so helpful, and showed us around. The spring is beautiful, I can't wait to visit again once the weather is warmer.

55Absolutely breathtaking location! If your furry friend adores water, this is a must-visit spot. My pup couldn't get enough of splashing in and out of the water, entertained by the assortment of toys available. I highly recommend giving this place a try, especially for those experiencing it for the first time. Host was great with providing towels and maps of the property so you know the whole location of where to go. The owner showed me exactly where to go and a few things we could do on the property.

Whether you need a fully-fenced space for poor recall, a quiet location for a reactive dog, appropriate sizing for small breeds, gentle terrain for seniors, or specific amenities like water features or agility equipment, you'll find options in Antioch. Filter by fencing, size, distractions, and amenities to match your needs.

When can I book dog hiking trails in Antioch?

Antioch dog hiking trails are available based on host scheduling—many operate dawn to dusk or even 24/7. Unlike public dog parks with rigid hours, you choose the exact time that works for you. Check individual Antioch listings for specific availability. Flexible scheduling is especially helpful for dogs with specific needs: reactive dogs who do better during quieter times, working dog owners needing early/late slots, or seniors needing cooler morning hours.

How do I book a dog hiking trail in Antioch?

Browse 16 available dog hiking trails in Antioch, select your preferred date and time, and reserve through Sniffspot. Most Antioch locations offer instant booking. You'll receive confirmation, exact address, and entry instructions. The booking process takes just minutes—perfect when your dog needs exercise, whether that's a reactive dog requiring safe space, a puppy needing socialization, or an energetic dog burning off steam.

140 acres at Plentiful Hill Farm, marked trails through woods and fields, creek is highly rated among Antioch dog hiking trails, known for excellent amenities and positive reviews. Can I use Antioch dog hiking trails for training sessions?

Yes! Antioch dog hiking trails are perfect for training because they're private and distraction-free. Work on recall, practice trail recall in natural environments, leash manners on varied terrain, or hiking endurance building, help reactive dogs build confidence, socialize puppies, or work on obedience—all without public dog park unpredictability. Many Antioch professional trainers use these spaces for client sessions with all types of dogs.

Do Antioch dog hiking trails accommodate multiple dogs?

Antioch dog hiking trails feature amenities like marked trail paths through natural terrain, open meadow areas for off-leash play, and shaded rest spots along the route. Many hosts provide extras: poop bags, water stations, toys, shaded seating, parking, even dog wash stations. Each Antioch listing clearly shows what's available. Look for amenities matching your dog's needs: shade for heat-sensitive breeds, water for swimmers, agility for active dogs, or privacy features for anxious pets.

Are Antioch dog hiking trails available year-round?

Indoor dog hiking trails provide year-round access regardless of Antioch weather conditions. Check individual listings for seasonal availability and policies.
