What people say about dog parks around Augusta, Georgia

I wasn't sure how long Fletcher would want to play, so I booked an hour. About the 35- to 40-minute mark, he was panting pretty fast, so I decided to cut it short and went home. The yard was great, though, and I think Fletcher had a great time! You might want to invest in a proper gate to keep guest pets out of that small area around the back of the house (where the flimsy baby gates are), since some animals can get past the setup you have over there now.

We loved our visit. Our reactive dogs were able to play and run without us worrying and looking over our shoulders. Some poop in backyard, didn’t bother us, we know it’s hard to keep a spotless yard. We will definitely be back. Recommend bug spray.

The yard was big and clean. Lots of toys and a pool was provided. My husband works nights and I’m to scared to take them to a dog park by myself at night. This is a great idea. I will definitely use her again. A tired dog is a happy dog and my two are sleeping as we speak. Thanks so much.

This spot was GREAT. Easy access, HUGE yard. There was a rope hanging from a tree that my girls loved. It was also great off leash training as areas of the yard are so far apart and not in eyes view. We will definitely be coming back.

Nice spot with lots of trees for shade and different seating options. Amenities as described with the exception that I didn't see a kiddie pool

This spot was great!! Just what we were looking for! I have a reactive dog, so this was a perfect safe area to let him run free and sniff around. No other dogs were seen or heard. The area was clean and secure, and quiet (on a weekday morning). We'll definitely be back again! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful space!

What a great place to just let your pup run and fetch. We let Cody off the leash and he just took off. He loves to chase a ball (doesn't really bring it back so we get a lot of exercise also). There are tennis balls there, a little pool with fresh water (which Cody hopped right into) and water bowls. When the weather cools a little we hope to be back quite a bit.

Our dogs had a great time! The yard has a good amount of grass for the dogs to roll around and lots of trees, a water feature, bushes, etc to explore. The host was kind and left water for the dogs to drink. We definitely plan on booking more time. here!

Each time the dogs have a fantastic time! We come from NE Columbia just to enjoy this spot and we typically combine it with a little hike through Peach Tree Rock Preserve to enjoy the waterfall, which is literally just down the road. Couldn't ask for better!

This was our first sniffspot and it was awesome!! Only a few miles from our house and it offered a large roaming area for our two very active dogs. There was a pool and sprinkler which were already hooked up and ready to go! The host had toys, water bowls, and an interactive agility set up. I would recommend this sniffspot!! **as with most houses, this spot did have neighbors and other pups across the street- we did leave a few minutes early once those pups came out but that’s only because our dogs are very reactive, which we are always prepared for!!*

Rhea and Juno had the best time!! They loved running and playing in the huge play area. Their favorite was the doggie pool! Our host had everything set up and ready for them when we got there. Even included free meaty bones, when much they gobbled up. Thank you so much and we will be back :)

FAQ about our Augusta dog parks

Are dog parks good for dogs?
It is important for dogs to have off leash exercise to sniff and run. But the free and open nature of public dog parks has drawbacks. There could be aggressive dogs, disease transmission and cleanliness issues. For this reason, many dog behaviorists discourage visiting public dog parks and recommend Sniffspot's private dog parks. Sniffspot private dog parks only allow one guest to book at a time and are not open to the public, which solves many of these issues.
Are dog parks safe?
While public dog parks have a number of safety issues, such as aggressive dogs, disease transmission and general cleanliness, Sniffspot dog parks much safer than public dog parks. With Sniffspot all bookings are private for just you and dogs you bring with you and we require all dogs to be vaccinated (or have equivalent titers). All Sniffspot locations are vetted and reviewed by guests so you can find the perfect place for you and your dog. 2% of reviews on Sniffspot visits in the Augusta area are 5 stars.
How do I know if a dog park works for my dog?
You can filter Sniffspot dog parks by fencing and distractions. If your dog doesn't have good recall, you can visit one of our 31 fully fenced dog parks in the area. If your dog is reactive to other dogs, you can visit one of our 3 off leash areas where there are no dogs audible or visible nearby. You can also filter locations to avoid other domestic animals and people. We also recommend reading reviews and reaching out to the host with any questions.
