Welcome to Maxie pool for private water play time! First pet pool in the area. Enjoy the summer with your pup in water! The pool is chlorinated and professionally cleaned weekly. We provide S/M/L size dog life jackets (1 jacket for each size) and some pool toys. The pool solar is on automatically during the day time and the water temperature largely depends on the weather conditions. For your reference, on September 24 the water temperature is around 72 degrees F/ 22 degrees C. 2 guests come free with the 1st dog. Any additional dog includes 1 additional guest at no extra charge. If you have extra guests coming, please select the correct number of additional guests in the EXTRAS. Extra guest is $12/person/hour for the play & swimming session. Total 6 guests max, thank you! POOL RULES (please read) *Please note this is a private swimming session for your pets, please supervise your dog at all times, NO coach/lifeguard on site. *The east side of the pool is up to 9 ft deep. Pet & humans swim at their own risk. Children under 10 years old are not allowed for safety reason. The host is not responsible for any liability. *Dog owner and guests are welcome to enter the pool to help and support your dog swimming, but please note NO BATHROOM is provided. As this is mainly the dog pool, dogs constantly bring oils/dust/dirt to the pool. We clean after each visit and the filter system is on but there is a limit how much the filter system can handle. Generally the water is clearer in weekdays compared to weekends. *This is a quiet neighborhood, please respect our neighbors so no screaming/yelling/loud music/pool parties. *Dogs must be leashed when entering and exiting the pool area, only off-leash your dog once the pool gate is locked. *The pool area is fenced. Please make sure the pool fence is locked at all times. *Please note there are plants, trees & flowers, and areas with mulch, rocks & stones in the backyard. Please watch out for your dogs' activities at all times. The host is not liable for any injuries or damages that could happen to dogs and pet owners. *Please bring your own towels. No water hose/outlets/dryers available in the backyard and no shower facilities for dogs. *Pool is professionally cleaned by the pool cleaning company every Monday and there might be pool chemicals. *No dog treats/human food or glassware in the pool. *No use of the pool beside the registered guests. *No peeing/pooping in the pool. Please pay close attention to your dog and let me know asap if your dogs accidentally pee/poop in the pool. *Please note there are external security cameras on the side gate entrance and the backyard. Video footage is only accessed should there be security incidents.

Located in a quiet residential neighborhood with private, spacious backyard for your dog to explore. Fully fenced. Plenty of street parking available.

Hello! We’re just getting started hosting with Sniffspot and are excited to host you! Please let us know what we can do to improve the space. A past guest let us know we needed better signage, so we got a bright blue sign printed and hung it on the fenced area. Another guest mistook the community garden (incompletely fenced) for the play area (completely fenced). If you see vegetables, the area is not completely fenced! You're welcome to explore, just be respectful of the gardeners and plants please. The avocado tree overhanging the play area is dropping fruit right now, so if your dog likes to eat random stuff on the ground please be careful! The play area is tucked between St Stephen’s in-the-Field Episcopal Church and the left hand fence (turn from Santa Teresa Blvd onto Avenida España, then take the first right and head to the back). There are two churches on the lot, ours is at the back, with ample off street parking and lots of gardens to explore, in addition to the enclosed play space. Feel free to message with any questions!

Welcome to our little farm! We are currently closed for the season; we're hoping to do some big projects in our garden, and therefore need to minimize foot and paw traffic 😔 I've scheduled to reopen in April, 2024. Check this page because we've got some exciting plans in store! ❣️ Your dog will love the large backyard with the hill that's perfect for loping up and down and sniffing all the exciting smells that come with country living- so many gophers, birds, and even deer make their appearance from time to time. We have goats, chickens and ducks in the pasture that backs up to the fenced yard, so your dog will get a lot of new experiences. You can relax on our deck listening to the fountain while your dog explores. I recommend this space for large dogs as there are some gaps in one of our gates; our Frenchie who crossed the rainbow bridge couldn't get through, but a more wily and writhe canine might be able to. We have a sweet and docile Great Pyrenees named Bosco who is not reactive, but if you prefer your dog to not have company, Bosco can hang out in the house or in his kennel. We're on a well, so we don't water the lawn in the summer to conserve water, so it can get a little dusty, but we do keep things mowed and trimmed. Our garden and yard is a work in progress- I'm currently focusing on adding drought tolerant native plants to work with my favorite blooms. There will be small changes in our retreat every time you visit (at least, that's my goal 😂) We hope your dog loves our Sniffspot!

A lot of vegetation and places to sit down, meditate, read a book, study, or have a picnic. Your pup will love to play in our one-acre garden. Picking fruit or vegetable etc. is off the limit. Drinking water for animals is provided in various containers throughout the property. Please do not turn on or use any water equipment on our property - we had some serious problems in the past because of this. Please clean up after your dog’s “business”, smile. That’s a mandatory request. Waste bags are provided in a plastic box with other dog’s supplies) and a BROWN garbage can is in the front of the house by the street for your convenience. Thank you! Woof woof! 🌸 Note: in the rainy season we might not change the water for dogs because it’s senseless, so please arrive always with your own supply of water and if it’s raining you might like to wear rain boots as well.
