Please park in front of my house rather than in front of neighboring homes. You are also welcome to park in the driveway, but please do not block the garage. You can enter the backyard through either of the two white gates in the fence. Either entrance is fine. Please make sure the gate is closed and latched securely behind you when you arrive, and again when you leave. We’re just getting started, and I’ll be making thoughtful improvements and adding amenities over the coming weeks, including comfortable seating, fresh drinking water, Wi-Fi and power access, and other small touches to make visits even more relaxing for dogs and their people. If you have special requests, please let me know ahead of time, but I will try to keep a supply of fresh bottled water down by the creek in A sealed container along with access to Dog Bowls and a few toys. You will find a picnic table and plenty of chairs perfect for a picnic or a magnificent Sunset view. If you have a four-wheel-drive vehicle with decent clearance, you can drive down to the bottom fields, but that is to be done with extreme caution and clarification before doing so as this is also our home and part of a community garden.

If you feel comfortable you can drive down to the lower field to get even further away from the road. I live down the street while I am fixing up the old house. So, there maybe someone at work in the house. Once you park, the best walking is down to the creek. Go to the lower field and look for the opening in the woods. 150yards from field is the creek. On a hot day, wear good creek shoes and walk up and down creek. If you cross the creek there is a great trail that circles around to the Powerline. Warnings: 1. there are lots of deer! 2. There are old barns. Do Not enter any of the buildings! They are very dangerous!!!! I have rescued reactive dogs. I want to create a safe space for your dogs and you to enjoy my great property.

The Vista 518

Welcome to The Vista, a 30-acre outdoor space, with 15 acres for dogs and owners to enjoy. The area includes three main sections: an open field, a pond, and hiking trails. While there are no visible animals or pets on the higher levels, neighbor dogs may occasionally be visible at a distance from the lower areas. Wildlife is active and may cross your path—please avoid interaction when possible. This is an unfenced, off-leash location, and we cannot be held liable for dogs who are escape artists! Our pond spans 20 feet across and over 20 feet deep, with an almost immediate drop-off when stepping in. The pond is spring-fed and stocked, so feel free to swim, fish, or float during your visit (anytime between June and November). There is no electricity or formal structure, but you are welcome to set up a tent or umbrella for shade. This is a carry in–carry out site, so please leave no trace behind, including your trash. For twice the fun with your furry friend, consider upgrading to camp overnight! A porta potty is onsite, but there is no water or electricity available. Please note that security video surveillance is in place for safety. **A kennel club uses the lower field on Wednesday nights and Saturdays 10-5. There WILL be dogs within view, at a distance, during these times**
